We bought a Mazda CX-5 from this place so I'm reviewing the car, the sale and our first experience with their oil change. Car: 5/5 Last year, we purchased a new 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring and we love it. There is really nothing more to say about that, great car. The Sale: 4/5 Most of my dealership experiences suck because I do a ton of research, know my stuff and come in ready to buy for the price that I want. So when I give these guys a 4/5, it's basically one of the better experiences that I've had. We mostly worked with two people. The first guy was the one who greeted us, took us for a test drive, answered all the question and helped us figure out a starting price point. The first guy was awesome. No pressure, very knowledgeable about the car and would look things up that he didn't know, which made me very confident in his answers. He spent a long time with us even though we didn't show too much enthusiasm (poker face). Anyway, at the end he has the sales guy do the money talk with us. The sales guy refuses to work with me until I sign a paper saying that I'm ready to buy the car. We really wanted to buy this car so I signed, but I was super close to walking out at this point. First we did a credit check and I'm in the mid 800s so they offer me a 72 month, no interest finance option, which is great. Then I tell him what I want to pay. He tells me that he can't do it. So now we can start negotiating :) I basically agreed to pay a bit upfront if he would match some of it in a price drop, which he did. This brought the cost to what I wanted (truecar.com lowest price). The thing is that the guy couldn't do basic math in his head, which I found very annoying. If you're in sales, learn to count. Waiting for him to type everything into a calculator, then having to correct him, then waiting for him to re-type it really made me not want to work with him. But w/e, we were almost done. Then they started with the up-selling of insurance, etc. At this point, I just wanted to leave with the new car. Overall though, this wasn't that bad at all. I'd definitely buy another car from them! The oil Change: 0/5 Three months pass and I get a call from the dealership that it's time to bring the car in for the first inspection and oil change. It's odd that they don't ask how many miles I have on the car, but w/e. We don't drive a lot, so the car only had ~750 miles. We come in (20 minute drive each way) and I start asking if it makes sense to change the factory oil, which is normally better than the oil that they use, this early. The manager agrees, so I reschedule. It's good that they didn't try to get money out of me, but I also think that they should train their callers a bit better. Three more months pass and I get a confirmation call. The evening before the appointment, after their closing hours, it snowed so some local places closed. I figured that they would call me if that was the case, but since my appointment was at their opening hours (I still had to go to work), I couldn't wait to call someone myself. Well, I drove there, they were closed and no one called, ever. After a week of them not contacting me, I called, explained the situation and scheduled to come in the next day (no apology or anything). The next day I came in and they say that they are already closing....so I get really mad and call the manager. The manager made some excuses about them having different systems, but found our appointment. They gave us an estimate of 30 mins so we took the Mazda Miata for a test drive (it only has two seats so my gf and I got the car to ourselves). This was fun, but when we came back, we still had to wait another 30+ minutes. The only thing they did, from what I could tell, was an oil change. They charged us something like $70-80 and didn't even have a car wash for that price. That will be the last time that I get an oil change from them. read more

I bought a used 2019 Mazda CX-5 I paid more than I wanted to and paid for the additional service warranty . I spent practically all of a day there to close the deal. I was not given a second key and was told later that it would cost me more than $300 to get a second key. I bought the car there because I believed i was getting good service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I can't figure out if it's stupidity and disorganization, or a scam that is causing the atrocious customer service. Short version: I was sold a car with defective parts and Rick Case Mazda refuses to fix it. The service manager, Chris Wells, is rude, sarcastic, and dismissive. There is extreme disorganization and lack of communication between departments and employees within the dealership. Their inability to provide adequate customer service is continuing to cost me a still undetermined amount of time, energy, and money. Long version: I bought a certified, pre-owned car from Rick Case Mazda a year and a half ago. Eight months ago I had to have the brakes and rotors replaced. Three months later, there was scraping on the driver's side rear wheel; the brakes and rotors were destroyed. I took it to RC for service. When I called to make the appointment, Chris Wells, Service Manager, answered the phone. He asked me what the problem was and essentially "diagnosed it" over the phone, telling me that he "sees the all the time" and the problem was that I took the vehicle to an outside mechanic. He barely let me get a word in. I still brought the vehicle in, and after looking at it (apparently), Chris called and told me that my mechanic didn't put the vehicle into service mode when fixing it and that I needed to pay them $700 to replace the brakes and rotors again. I told him no thanks, I will take the car back to my mechanic. Chris' sarcastic response was "you really want to take your vehicle back to that place?" Yes, I do. If he made a mistake fixing it, then I want him to make it right. I took the vehicle back to my mechanic, who explained that it was defective calipers (and that if he didn't put the vehicle into service mode, why would only one wheel be the problem). He did a significant amount of research and sent me the bulletin of the defective part. He even replaced the brakes and rotors again at no charge, but explained that they were going to wear down sooner than later because that wasn't the issue at hand. Fast forward three months and less than 2,000 miles on the car later, and the same issue began to occur. Having had a less than positive experience with Rick Case the first time, I brought the vehicle to another Mazda dealership. At this dealership, I was met with respectful employees who listened to the issue and agreed with the problem, however, I would be charged for the work with them because I didn't purchase my vehicle there. So I gave Rick Case another shot. I called and once again, Chris Wells answered. In what his apparently his usual fashion, he spoke over me, told me what the problem was, and when I explained that I was trying to get this resolved without having to involve an attorney, he said "you can do that" and hung up on me. I immediately called back and asked to speak with the GM, Jeff Edge, who returned my call within minutes. I explained the issue to Jeff and he asked if I'd like to bring in the car again. I said yes, but I will have zero interaction with Chris Wells, and he is not to touch my vehicle. When I brought in the vehicle, I was directed by Avery, Sales Manager, back to the service department, where Chris Wells was working. I explained to him that I will not work with Chris and Avery ran interference. I provided Avery with a printed screenshot of the text messages with my mechanic, which clearly outline what the issue with the vehicle is, including the detailed bulletin. The next day, I received a text message with a video of the shop foreman, Brent, checking the calipers with the vehicle in park. He stated there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. I responded asking how the driving test went and he said he did not initiate one. I requested that he do so. The morning after, I received a text that the driving test also revealed there is no issue. I spoke with Jeff Edge, GM, on the phone and he told me there is nothing wrong with my car and that if my mechanic can't do the work on the vehicle then of course he's going to say it's a defect. I asked him if he read the text messages with my mechanic that I printed and provided and he said "no, I didn't know about it." He also mentioned that Chris Wells was facilitating the information between service and the GM, despite multiple requests that Chris not be involved. He told me that I can take my car elsewhere. The phone call ended with him saying they've done all the work they can and he can connect me with their corporate legal team. read more

I would never ever suggest anyone to buy a new car from them. The sales lady promised that she would give me all weather mat when i buy the car and when I came back she flatly refused. I thought they were certified dealers but they were acting as small dealership. Very disappointed. I would rather go somewhere to buy s new car then come here. Very rude. We recently had a bad deal with Rick Case Mazda. They advertised a price online to get us in the door, only to tack on a bunch of fees during the sale. What they did was not only unethical, but actually breaks Georgia law. I contacted the Georgia Department of Law and confirmed that this is against the law. If a dealer advertises a price online or anywhere, that price MUST include any dealer fees. Legally, they can only add on government taxes and fees, such as tax, tag, and title. I spoke with them and let them know what the Consumer Protection Unit told me. To their credit, they offered to give us the deal as advertised and they apologized. But, as far as we are concerned, if you have to call them out on it to get the price, we don't want to deal with them. If they will trick us on the deal, who is to say that they are also not tricking us with the car's actual condition?! That is dishonest and we will steer clear of companies that are not honest in how they do business. Really stinks, because it was a great car that we looked at! read more

My review is for service and parts due to me only interacting with them. I'm only giving them one star because I can't give them zero. The only thing they're useful for is if you have to get a Mazda specific part that's hard to find. The service is very uncommunicative when you have the slightest knowledge about cars and ask a question. The parts department is lazy and again uncommunicative. They are never there to answer the phone which confuses me because when they do they never have your part in stock, so what are they doing? Overall, this place is straight trash. Don't service your car there. Go get what you need from advanced auto parts or harbor freight and do it yourself. If you're not mechanically inclined then go to pep boys or a local mechanic. Terrible staff and general sale manager!!! This is the worst experience I have ever had in buying new car. Untrained!!! My sale man told me that CX-3 Grand Touring 2017 included the Smart City Brake Support. I bought it and realized it DOES NOT have Smart City Brake Support. They only gave a apology for that and nothing else. Unprofessional, unethical!!! I bought the car which has a dent on the back window's tint film. General Sale Manger (GSM) promised giving me a call. NEVER CALLED ME!!! I came back and they said the old GSM not there anymore, the new GSM refuses to fix the window because I didn't have the writing form for that. Sale man DOES NOT help anything. They will give you fake service and try to up charge whatever you originally asked for. Do not service your vehicle here. I came in and asked for front and rear brake, and if necessary, rotor replacements. An easy/standard task to do. My rep came back to me, brought me aside, and proceeded to explain my rear brakes could not be done the standard way. He explained the calipers had expanded, and needed a flush of sorts and needed replacement which would cost upwards of $900. Since I feel like I know a few things on how my car works, I denied this, and he proceeded to take "something" off his $900 quote to make it somewhere around $700. Still denying this charge, he did 1 of my asks: the front pads and rotors. Normally, I would leave it at that. Either he was right, and some procedure needed done that I had NEVER heard of, or it was a little baloney. My problem is this: I look at my invoice. "Customer declined brake flush, rear pads, and rear rotors... Customer was explained how bad rear pads (2MM) and rotors needed to be replaced". NO WAY. I had asked this. No where on this invoice does it say "Customer was explained a crazy caliper replacement procedure, but this still needs to get done". This pisses me off, and makes me think the latter. This $900 procedure was bullshit. Now I must go to a second place just to do what I needed in the first place.... read more

Question everything these salesmen throw at you. I purchased a cx5 and opted for the service package to have tire rotations and oil changes completed at the dealership. I figured it would give me peace if mine already having that paid for and the dealership could deal with all the service documentation. . I called Rick case to make sure that this service package would be valid at all Mazda dealerships since there is one closer to my house. They tell me that these services are included but neglect to tell you that there is a price cap. In addition, after 4 service visits they claimed that my "service visits" had been used up and I only had 4... yet I'm still paying for this "service package" included in my car payment every month... sketch. I will be calling and making sure my "service package" is removed immediately. They do not respond to emails unless you threaten to management. read more

We purchased a used Mazda from Rick Case Mazda in Duluth, GA on 6/25/2021 and did not receive title and tags until 12/17/2021.  Although the salesman was very nice, the staff clearly does not know what they are doing.  We were sent off on our test drive and pulled over by a policeman a few blocks down the road for not having a tag on the car.  We told him we were test driving the car from Rick Case Mazda and he responded with "this happens all the time".  But, he proceeded to request proof of our story.  All we had was a printout of the car ad that matched the car we were driving, but not sure what we would have shown him otherwise, as the dealership didn't provide us with anything.  There were several things wrong with the car (and not disclosed), but we decided what we were willing to pay for it and the dealership eventually agreed to sell it for that price so we were relatively happy.  They put a 45 day temporary tag on the vehicle and sent us off after I wrote a check for the entire balance due.  45 days later, I called to inquire about the status of our title/ tags.  Manager Jeff told me to contact Opus to check on it because we do not live in Georgia so the transaction gets completed by a third party.  He told me he would send out another temporary sticker to add another 45 days, which I eventually received after two reminder follow-up calls.  I contacted Opus in mid-August and was informed that they had not received any paperwork from the dealership yet so I contacted the dealership to let them know what I was told.  I called Opus again on 9/1/2021 and was told they still don't have the paperwork from the dealership.  Opus received the paperwork from the dealership on 9/24/2021 and I finally received title and tags on 12/17/2021.  Georgia law requires that the transfer gets processed within 30 days.  I was forced to drive a car around without proper tags for 3 months.  I believe that I was sold a car that the dealership didn't own, which I'm pretty sure is illegal.    I would recommend that if you purchase a car from them, demand to see the title to confirm they have rights to sell it, make sure they put a dealer plate on the car before your test drive, and don't even bother to go to this dealership if you don't live in Georgia.   It is not a consumer's job to be making phone calls to chase down the status of title transfer paperwork. read more

ANOTHER MUNCHKIN DEALERSHIP! After a bad experience at the Buford location, we decided to stop in and check out this dealership. I loved that someone stepped up and greeted us right away and explained that someone would be with us shortly. They were busy and I just appreciated the "heads up" instead of just being left to wonder. After a short while, a salesman approaches us, we introduce ourselves and go out to see the car. When we get to the car it's locked and this guy did not bring the key! IT'S 40 DEGREES OUTSIDE!! So we have to wait until he runs in and gets the key! Uggh! Never, ever forget the key, especially in unfavorable weather. I am going to give him a pass because he was really sweet and I think that he was a bit distracted when called to assist us. I was shocked by the limited choices they had available because the largest vehicle we saw was actually very small and tight, (perfect for Munchkins). My rule besides needing ample room up front is if the rear seats are not spacious and comfortable, all bets are off. I want everyone to have a nice ride. Although I will not be purchasing a Mazda because of space limitations, this dealership was okay today. read more

I was really excited about a Mazda 3 they had. Lorenzo took me on a test drive and he was wonderful, however when we got back I spoke with the manager (kevin) who really had no interest in selling me a car. He didn't print out the numbers for me and didn't even tell me about the warranty until after I had to let him know that he was very unhelpful and that I would be writing a negative review about him. Went in today to test drive the new Cx 9. Made our appt. with Chris Bourlakis. We told him exactly what we wanted to drive and he delivered. Granted he could only work with what they had on the lot and we were able to drive the car we wanted. We went with no intention of buying for we are still saving. Chris knew this up front when we made the appt. yet treated us as if we were coming to sign that day. Thank you Chris for taking our future car buying experience to an all new level. You so easily took the drudgery out of what can be a very harrowing ordeal. I see many good reviews here from those who purchased, yet for me to write without purchasing I feel speaks volumes about his character and kindness. We did not feel coerced for one moment about anything during our hours with him. He was very knowledgeable about the car and taught us more than what we thought we knew after weeks of research. He loves his job and really enjoys people. This young man is the prefect role model for all car salesmen who need to get their heads straightened out concerning what it takes to please customers, especially if we're female. We are ever so grateful for his making our day. For I can't tell you how long we have dreaded test driving as well as having to deal with car salesmen. I purchased my car used approximately 6 months ago. At the time of purchase I was told the tires were good and all service needs had been completed and all was up to date. Less than a week later the change oil light comes on. I contacted the dealership and the oil had never been changed before the car was sold to me, so I had to take the car back for an oil change that took nearly 2 hours. After going to a Tires Plus a month ago for an oil change, I was told the tires were dangerously worn. You could see the threads in multiple tires and after asking the technician how tires could go from good to this poor in 6 months, he stated he believed I was sold a car with worn tires. I took it back to Rick Case for them to look at. I had a Noon appt. Nearly an hour and 1/2 later, they finally looked at my car (no work was done). They couldn't provide any documentation at all that any service had been done prior to selling me the car other than they thought they did it. Justin first said 2 of my tires were worn because I had been driving them with insufficient air/tire pressure. My low tire pressure light would have been on and it hadn't. I asked if it was possible that the previous owner may have driven it that way, caused the wear on the tires and then they sold me the care with worn tires. He said "That's Possible." Then he said it was because my alignment was off. They still couldn't provide any documentation that the alignment was good or even checked before selling me the car. I specifically said I didn't expect free tires. All I expected was Rick Case to do right by me (their customer) who had already been told services were done in the past that weren't and work with me and meet me part way. Justin and another man said they'd have to talk to the used car sales manager (I had to call for his name: Adrian Lizescu) and shortly returned to say the used car sales manager won't do anything for you. Sorry. Mr. Lizescu didn't even have the professional decency to come out and talk to me himself. Incredibly rude, unprofessional, AND I was there over 1 hour and 45min during a work day WITH an appointment AND they didn't do anything, but look. Unethical and Untrustworthy. I will tell everyone I know to avoid Rick Case dealerships. Very disappointed! You may have a decent buying experiance, but they will screw you over in Service. -Angela K read more

Before going in to any dealership make sure you know the laws and procedures for purchasing vehicles that have changed. Everything was excellent except for miss communications all around. Steve did a great job with conveying information even with an irate consumer on his hands. We have not purchased a car in several years and things have changed drastically. It is just as much the consumers responsibility to be informed about this as it is the dealers responsibility to verify the information and convey that to the consumer. We were caught blindsided but Steve was able to save our experience with his good attitude and professionalism. Mike Tart did an excellent job as a salesman. We were comfortable the whole time and felt like he was really trying to take care of us. Though our circumstance wasn't ideal, it was a learning experience on all parties. read more

I live in Durham, NC and my sister lives in Decatur. I had just bought a 2001 Miata and was driving down to see my sister. Unfortunately my Miata broke down a little over 100 miles from nearest ATL based Mazda dealer. Luckily I had AAA and they towed me to Rick Case Mazda. I had to go to factory service because I knew there were two outstanding Mazda service recalls needing to be done, and I thought that might be the problem. I took the car to TWO other mechanics knowing that something was wrong and neither of them found a problem. Rick Case found all the problems and fixed them. I was only in town for a few days and they worked with me to get me out of there and back on the road ASAP. Their service was soo good that I had only one key from the dealer I bought the car from, that they programmed and gave me another key at no cost to me. The other dealer wanted around $450 to cut, program, and replace a security module, Rick Case did it at no additional cost to me. Yes, I had a few issues with the Miata and my bill wasn't cheap, but my car runs better than ever now. The service was so phenomenal that they called me when I was on the road to make sure everything had been fixed and I wasn't experiencing any problems. Thank you to Mark, my service advisor, and Ryan the Service Manager, for getting me back on the road in my strict deadline. *For those curious as to what was wrong with my car... Fuel pump failure, clutch slave cylinder replaced, new belts, PCM recalled, and a few other misc items. read more

Last Saturday I bought a 2017 Mazda 6 at Rick Case Mazda. The car itself is amazing. I love everything about it. The staff at the dealership was great. I am a Costco Executive Member and this is the Mazda dealership in the area that partners with the Costco Auto program. My original plan was to buy a new car at the end of the 1st quarter of 2017. After tax season, after my annual bonus is paid out, etc., but Rick Case had the EXACT car I wanted. The exact color scheme and features - it was the only one like it in the Atlanta area. I've had some credit issues in my past, but I've been good for a long time, and I make a decent salary. I called the dealership and made an appointment and went ahead and applied for financing online. I was trying to make sure I didn't waste my time and also speed up the process of buying the car (I was pretty sure I was going to buy it if it was still available and I could attain financing at a certain interest rate or lower). Well, everything fell into place. The car was still available and exactly as advertised. The financing was in place. The crew at Rick Case Mazda was great - I dealt with Mona from Sales and Charlie from Finance. I was introduced to the Service staff, and Austin, one of the Sales Managers. I've since had emails from several other people at the dealership - they couldn't be a better group of people. The only downside to the whole experience was that I was at the dealership for almost 3 hours when I knew exactly what car I wanted walking in and had been prequalified for financing. That may be the case with all dealerships and all car buying experiences - I wouldn't know, this is the first time I've ever bought a new car from a dealership. I would have liked to been out of there quicker, but I can't deduct a star for that - I'm pretty sure that's the deal when buying a new car. I walked in, no appt, on a Friday, 30 mins after opening. He said it would be a "2 hr wait". I asked whats the earliest if I set an appt now. He said "Monday". A mechanic walked out as he was looking me up in the system. Asked the mechanic what he was doing. Pulled a ticket, and prepared my car to be taken on the spot. Best ever!!! I waited about an hr and a half, average waiting time. Ive been going to Rick Case Mazda since when they were on Satellite. Only had ONE problem, in the 4 yrs that Ive been a customer. And it wasnt even a MAJOR deal. As Im sitting here writing this review, Im watching the WAVE of customers pouring in. I could NOT be more grateful for the service and care of the people here at Rick Case Mazda. read more

I was serviced by a young man named William Jones and he helped me with everything that I needed. He answered all questions and concerns that I had and made sure that my requests were accommodated with no problem. He assured that I got into the vehicle I wanted for a great price as well! When they want you to buy a car then of course the service is great but when you needed service on your car then that's a whole different story. After leaving my brand new cx9 for 8 day with a check engine light. They diagnose the problem but want me to leave it there for another week because they didn't want to pay overnight shipping for the part, I found another dealer that would have the part the next day so I wanted to take my car to the other dealer. The service manager told me that dont come back to this dealer if I take my car back....what a way to treat a customer and don't bother complaining to the supervisor. No appointment but he took care of me the whole time. Came out with an umbrella for the rain and provided great customer service from the beginning to the end. Juan a car salesman at Rick Case tried to sale me a Mazda CX5. After we could not agree upon the price of the car I test drove he eventually called me back and we agreed to a price over the phone, I then drove 30 miles to purchase the SUV. Upon my arrival, he informed me the car I just test drove and he called me on 40 minutes before had sold and that he had two comparable SUV's and one was the same price as the test car. I was disappointed but open to his pitch and agreed to buy the SUV that had the same price as the test car. When we sat down he quoted me a price of almost $2000 more than our originally agreed upon price. I then stated this isn't what we agreed upon and showed him the quoted document he gave me earlier he informed me that he quoted me the wrong price for the test drive car and stated the increase wasn't that much more to which I expressed, then Rick Case should pay the difference and I left. I feel this was a Bait and Switch tactic and had questionable elements of a lack of integrity to it. My time was wasted and confidence in this dealership was compromised. I will not be doing business with this establishment in the future. read more

If I could do a ZERO STAR Rating, I would. The absolute worse car buying experience. This dealership was unprofessional, was found to be incorrect or dishonest on more than one detail about the vehicle, the loan process, obtaining a tag and more. There are so many details I don't want to waste more time on that place, I will say they left my husband and I standing outside of the locked dealership, lights out WAITING on the car we just purchased to get filled up with gas ? The Finance Manager walked past us and chuckled our car wasn't back got in his car and left ? We waited another 20 minutes in the dark. We contacted the GM and shared the experience and he stated he had no idea any of that happened, We encouraged him to review the security cameras of us standing outside in the dark. He extended apologies and said he wanted to do something to show his good faith and apology for all that happened. We have yet to receive ANYTHING. Not even sure it was the GM we spoke too. I called this dealership about a car and spoke with William Jones. This was the most genuine and nice salesperson I have ever spoken with. Typically, I don't want to leave my information because I don't want to be hounded but he was very accommodating and patient, he was not pushy and made the call very pleasant. I visited other dealerships but the experience at Rick Case Mazda with William was genuine. He listened and made sure I was educated on the car and the process. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. I have been in 8+ times because the dealership keeps forgetting to have me sign papers. Papers were not in for me to get my tag on time and now 5 months after I purchased my car my bank STILL does not have my title. I have purchased a few cars in my life and it has never been so complicated. The dealer keeps making up excuses and nothing is getting fixed, even though I paid for them to take care of these issues. The level of professionalism is not there. I am in love with my Mazda but I would NEVER buy another vehicle from them. If your on the line go to Mazda of Roswell, I wish I did. read more

I recently purchased a 2012 Mazda3 from Rick Case Mazda in Duluth. It was the worst consumer experience I have ever had, and I would recommend that anyone in the market for a Mazda look elsewhere. My original review was too long, so here is my main gripe with them, omitting the dozen or so other things they did wrong: I was in the process of moving while buying this car. That means I had both an active address and a future address at the time of purchase. The sales team was well aware of this fact, and it didn't seem to be a problem when they were trying to get my business. I filled out the paperwork as they instructed, with my old address. Then, out of nowhere, when Rick Case was completing my title work, the address became a problem. My title and tag work got delayed to the point where I needed to drive 45 minutes to the dealership to get an extended temporary tag. Now ask me if anyone reached out to me about this prior to the deadline. Ask me if anyone showed any concern that my temporary tag was about to expire and put me at risk for fines or impoundment. The only contact I received from Rick Case Mazda on the title delays were as a result of ME following up as the deadline approached. At that point, the sales manager, Chris Whiten, assured me that he and his team were working diligently to get the issue resolved but that the blame should fall solely on the Fulton county tag office for changing policies and slow communication. He assured me of this ONLY AFTER I had emailed him, about a week before my temporary was set to expire. And on the day I emailed him, that just so happened to be the exact day that the Rick Case title department reached out to me for proof of residence. I'm supposed to believe they weren't just sitting on my paperwork for 3 weeks before I followed up? And once I sent proof of residence, ask me if I got any update about what was going on. I had to send several emails and call the office several times to get a firm grip on what was happening. Extracting information from Rick Case Mazda was like pulling teeth. One email I got from the title department, responding to my request for an update: "(Your title work) was sent back to me because the proof of residence you sent me is not the same address as the one on your paperwork." Boom. End of email. This exchange occurred one day before my tag deadline. I was given no instructions or assurances on what the next step would be. There was certainly no sense of urgency on their end to get this done for me. Chris was adamant that Rick Case Mazda was not at fault for the delay. Maybe he's right, or maybe he's full of it. I tend to think the latter. Regardless, they could have reached out. A phone call from a real person, apologizing for the inconvenience and assuring me that things would get handled, would have been nice. A phone call BEFORE I had to hunt them down for updates would have been wonderful. As of my last conversation with Chris, he apologized for the delays (even though he claimed they weren't Rick Cases' fault) and assured me I would have the tag in my hands today, Monday. Well, it's Monday afternoon. I am on the final day of extended temporary tag. As of 3:30pm, I had heard nothing from Rick Case. I just emailed them (I'm the one initiating contact, AGAIN), and even though Chris had promised me he would try to get someone to bring me my tag, I have just learned that I'll have to go get it myself from the tag office (which closes in about 20 minutes) or wait until Wednesday. I would have been happy to go get it myself from the beginning until Chris offered to get it for me and bring it to me. This is beyond unacceptable, especially when I was assured I would have the tag in my hands this afternoon. My transaction with Rick Case Mazda has been bungled from beginning to end. I've received poor customer service, horrendous communication, and outright disrespect at times. read more

Since I test drove a Mazda 3 nearly 3 weeks ago, I was contacted me nearly daily via phone and email and today via text. This has added up to over 40 emails, phone calls, and a text message. While I was visiting the store, I was not provided accurate information to my questions regarding the car, I expressed that I was not impressed by the vehicle after I drove it and, most importantly, the manager made it clear that my future potential business was not important to him when he would not provide more accurate financing information upon my request. Of the 3 other cars I test drove that weekend, each company was able to provide me detailed information on potential APRs and range for monthly payments for multiple month options. I would not recommend Rick Case Mazda to anyone who appreciates accurate information and not feeling pushed to buy a car you clearly were not impressed by. read more
