I made a repair appointment and wanted a loaner so I can get to work. They wanted to re-schedule me for a week out, and when i asked if I would get a loaner vehicle the lady said "no guarantee". Then I asked to be schedule for when a loaner would be available. The lady said this time "there are no loaner vehicles". Then she said "take the car to the dealership you purchased from." My friend who works at Kia told me not to visit Rick Case for service-related issues. He was right. But now that I have a first-hand experience with the type of service they provide. I had the worst experiences ever at Genesis of Gwinnett ! Their review is a bit overstated! My car was supposedly "in service," but it was never actually serviced or checked. My notifications never notified me the entire time I dropped the car off until I called two 1/2 weeks later to check on the car, then got a panic alarm because they didn't even know where the car was stored! Despite this, I was slapped with a $276 service fee for absolutely nothing. That is unacceptable and feels like taking advantage of customers. The Service Manager, Tammy Baker, is by far the worst I've ever encountered in the automotive industry. She has a terrible attitude, no professionalism, and treats customers with complete disrespect. If this is who they have managing service, it speaks volumes about the entire dealership. The staff across the board from sales to service are unbelievably rude. There is no sense of care, no respect, and certainly no commitment to customer service. It's shocking that a luxury brand like Genesis would allow this kind of operation to carry its name. I recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Hyundai Ioniq 5 from Rick Case Hyundai and, unfortunately, my experience after taking delivery of the vehicle has been disappointing. During the sales process, my salesperson, Adrian Custodio, was responsive and attentive. However, once the purchase was completed, communication became extremely difficult. Questions and concerns were only addressed after repeated follow-up calls to the dealership requesting to speak with him directly. When I first viewed the vehicle, there was a charging cable stored in the rear cargo compartment. After bringing the vehicle home, I discovered the cable was no longer included. When I contacted the dealership for clarification, I was given conflicting information and made to feel as though my expectation that an electric vehicle would include a charging cable was unreasonable. Unfortunately, no satisfactory resolution was provided. I also attempted to speak with a manager regarding my concerns and was directed to Steve Fricks, but I never received a response despite my efforts to reach out. Additionally, I took delivery of the vehicle during a heavy rainstorm and quickly discovered that the windshield wipers were not performing adequately, making visibility difficult. When I asked about having them replaced, I was informed that the service department had already deemed them acceptable. What has been most frustrating is the lack of communication, accountability, and customer support after the sale was finalized. As a long-time Hyundai customer who has purchased multiple Hyundai vehicles over the years, this has been the least satisfactory dealership experience I have encountered. While I am happy with the vehicle itself, the post-sale customer service has left a great deal to be desired. ***Edited to add: 8 hours after pick up for the SECOND TIME AND THE SCREEN JUST STOPPED WORKING*** We dropped off my Genesis (still under warranty) bc the all wheel drive light came on. We did not receive a loaner. Communication was terrible, we would be told it would be ready the end of the week, then hear nothing, then be told the next day, then the next week, etc. Long story short, a part took a few weeks to arrive, then my car was "stuck on a broken lift but no one can come service the lift" and multiple other excuses we pulled out of the service department (there was little to no proactive communication). After almost 9 weeks we were able to make the 1+ hour drive to pick it up. The "promised" wash and wax (for the inconvenience) was not done...and ten minutes into the trip home the dash display went out. Turned around only to be told we would have to bring it back the next week. I know car dealerships are notoriously awful but this takes the cake. I would drive twice to distance to avoid dealing with these folks. Only a month after purchasing my 2020 Nissan Murano my brakes and transmission need service. My first issue I reached out to my salesman about an alignment. Braxton never scheduled me a service appointment nor did he follow up. I ended up spending 4.5 hours of my day waiting for an alignment. I told Braxton at the time about my transmission needing service. Do you know this clown suggested I pay 250.00 bucks to used my warranty and I had only had the vehicle for 2 or 3 weeks at that time. Nissan Murano also had specific brakes that it uses that only comes from Nissan. I called to the dealership and spoke to a real jack ass Steve. This fool didn't even try to do anything besides have me come in so they can tell me what kind of brakes Rick Case put on the vehicle. The brakes for that vehicle are Nissan specific! Steve spoke to me as if he were saying you get what you get! Braxton and Steve have a lackluster,poor, condescending, rude and dismissive attitude towards providing customer service! While at the dealership for my alignment, my mom was at the Hyundai dealership in Johnson City Tennessee looking for a vehicle. Before going to the dealership she suggested that she come to Atlanta where I purchased my 2020 Nissan Murano. I replied and explained that I didn't this it was a good idea because my salesman Braxton hadn't even gotten back to me about a simple alignment. Please, whatever you do find a different Hyundai/Genesis dealership to go to. We bought a genesis from a 3rd party, very gently used with low miles. Still under warranty-manufacturer, and additional warranty was purchased on top of that plus a 6k bumper to bumper coverage from date of purchase was also included with the purchase. We had some issues with the power outlet and charging pad in the car and the parking sensor kept going off despite not being around anything. We took it here the first time and were told they couldn't figure out what was going on with the sensor because they couldn't replicate the problem. They ordered the parts to fix the charger issues. So we came to pick up the car while waiting for the part since they said it could be up to a week. When we arrived at the dealership, we found our car parked up to the side of a curb, not in a proper spot. So we inspected the car and saw that someone had hit the side of our bumper-small scratch. At this point, we went inside to talk to the dealership, however, the service department was already closed so the front desk said to call them in the morning. The next day we called and they said that looking at the camera, it looked like another customer hit our car and they are not responsible for that. Even though they have a written in print when we dropped our car off initially that they are not responsible for damage to the car if it was something out of their control. Which they claim that this was out of their control since another Customer hit our car. However, what was in their control was where they parked our car. Not in a designated parking spot, on random curb. So ultimately it was their fault bc they had control in where our car was parked. If it was in a proper spot and got hit, I would understand. They said they can look at the damage and maybe buff out the scratch however, they will not repaint/do touch up. A week later we returned, after the charger parts arrived, and also for them to assess the damage from the hit. They were able to buff out the scratch and fix the charger issue (small win). As the week went on, our sensor continuously went off. We recorded videos of everything and brought the car back to them. They worked it up and said that the sensor was not part of warranty due to "damage" of the sensor being pushed in. Even though there is no sign of damage around the sensor. Also, before we bought the car, a full inspection was done and a full history report was pulled, indicating no prior damage or accidents. Car had original paint; no signs of bodywork done. They said the sensor will cost about $1000, however, they recommend us replacing the whole bumper for $3000 bc that would be the preferred/proper way to repair it the issue. We asked if we can take it for a second opinion in which they said because it's not covered under warranty we would have to pay the diagnostic fee of $250 in order to pick up our car. At this point, we reached out to the original dealership we bought it from and several other people like the another Genesis dealership. We also reached out to Genesis warranty underwriting team, and the additional warranty company that is supposed to cover bumper-to-bumper for the first 6k miles from purchase. Everyone we spoke to all said that this should be something that is fixed under warranty because it could've been a manufacturer defect. And with colder weather the sensors can be triggered which is why it was sounding off more aggressively because the weather has been dropping but shouldn't be malfunctioning. Well, we finally got a hold of the manager of Rick case Hyundai, and she said that they will fix it under warranty. But they of course, they only fixed the sensor, not replaced the bumper, even though that's what they suggested would be the proper way to fix it when they expected us to pay out-of-pocket. After all of this we were asking around about rick case Hyundai, we've learned that this is a common thing they try to pull to avoid fixing things under warranty. I also have an Audi that I've had serviced with rick case here as well on several occasions and had a very terrible experience each time. But that will be in a different review. After our experience with Hyundai rick case, I've come to realize it wasn't just with Audi themselves. That was the problem it was the "Rick Case" name and how they do business. ***Scammers and Very rude Customer Service! Stay Away! *** I have been a regular customer at Rick Case Hyundai, Duluth, primarily due to its proximity to my workplace. However, interactions with Service Advisor Andre Johnson have consistently been challenging, as he tends to be very difficult and rude, it always has been a challenge when faced with him. On one occasion, I experienced malfunctioning sensors immediately after having my rear bumper repaired. When I brought the vehicle in, they asked me to replace two rear and two front sensors, even though nothing happened to the front sensors till then, asking for an exorbitant charge of 4,500. The service fees alone was $750 for replacing each set of sensors. They couldn't justify why I had to do for the front, and their technician admitted there may not be any problem with the front ones and would like to do it for the rear first. Ok, let's see the funny part! They said that they need to run the car for 3 hrs to tune the replaced sensors. They charged $750 per each set replacement, this means that instead of replacing all the four together and run car once, they chose to run separately per each set of sensor. They could have been more creative to charge $750 per each sensor, meaning they could have charged $3000 for 4 sensors, thank Got they are yet not so smart, lol! I had a very disappointing experience at this dealership today. First, I want to acknowledge that the sales consultant who helped me, Eric Lee, was excellent. He was kind, knowledgeable, and respectful throughout the process. He took me seriously when I explained my bottom line and was willing to advocate on my behalf with his manager. I truly appreciated his professionalism and effort to help. Unfortunately, my interaction with the manager, Steve Fricks, was extremely unpleasant. While I completely understand that a dealership may not be able to meet every customer's requested price, the way I was spoken to was unnecessarily rude and condescending. When I showed him the offer entered into Edmunds' dealer price calculator - which indicated the price was at the very highest end of the range - he told me that I should call Edmunds and have them buy a car for me instead. He also said, "good luck finding anyone who's willing to work with you." I also want to share some context as to why this experience was especially upsetting. In December, I was involved in a traumatic car accident where my vehicle was T-boned with my two young children in the car, and the crash totaled my car. In the months following, I was diagnosed with PTSD and my son with acute anxiety disorder. We are both currently in therapy as we work through the aftermath. It has taken me until now to feel strong enough to begin driving again and start the process of purchasing another vehicle. Because of that, the car-buying process has already been emotionally difficult, and being spoken to in such a dismissive and condescending way made it much harder than it needed to be. My husband and I have purchased two vehicles from Rick Case dealerships in the past - a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2022 Kia Telluride - and both experiences were wonderful. That positive history is exactly why we came back. Unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect the level of professionalism and respect we previously experienced and expected from the Rick Case brand. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. This was one of the most frustrating dealership service experiences I've had. I brought my car in for an appointment at 1:30 PM on March 6th for what should have been a routine oil change and a quick scan for a check engine light. The service advisor, Hailey, told me they would hook the car up and let me know what code was triggering the light. Nearly three hours later, I was told that the technician couldn't tell me the code because there were "too many codes" and that I would need to schedule another appointment for a diagnostic. That explanation didn't make sense. If the vehicle was already scanned, there should at least be a list of the codes available. Instead, it felt like a tactic to push me into paying for an additional diagnostic service. Spending nearly three hours waiting for a basic oil change and a code scan with no meaningful answers is unacceptable. The customer service during the entire visit was disappointing. There were no meaningful updates while I waited and no sense of urgency or respect for the amount of time I had already spent there. When I asked to speak with a manager, Tammy eventually came out but appeared bothered and dismissive. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or provide any clarification, she simply repeated that I should schedule a diagnostic appointment. Overall, the experience felt very transactional and not customer-focused. The lack of transparency and the push toward additional paid services left a very negative impression. Experiences like this are the reason customers lose trust in dealership service departments and begin questioning the transparency of their service practices. Feedback for management: Customers deserve transparency and clear communication when they bring their vehicles in for service. Waiting several hours only to be told the service that was promised cannot be completed is unacceptable. We are beyond disappointed with our experience at Rick Case Hyundai -- especially as repeat customers who have purchased several vehicles from your dealership over the years. This time, shortly after purchasing our most recent vehicle -- before the temporary tag even expired -- the check engine light came on. About 10 days after purchase, we brought it in for service. Instead of properly repairing the issue, your service department chose what appeared to be the cheapest possible option rather than fixing the root problem. We were later told the issue involved the water pump, yet this necessary repair was refused. Instead, an "update" was performed on the vehicle, which clearly did not resolve the problem. The vehicle was not fully repaired, and we were forced to return again -- still before the tag expired. At that point, we asked to speak directly with the General Manager, Mark Johnson, hoping someone in leadership would take responsibility and ensure the situation was handled properly. He refused to speak with us. That level of avoidance speaks volumes about the lack of accountability at this dealership. What makes this even more frustrating is the so-called 10-year/100,000-mile warranty that is heavily promoted. Based on our experience, that warranty does not protect customers the way it is advertised. If a clear mechanical issue like a failing water pump is dismissed in favor of a temporary software update, what exactly is the warranty there for? It certainly did not provide us with peace of mind or real protection. We have been loyal customers, purchasing multiple vehicles here, yet loyalty clearly means nothing. Instead of standing behind your product and honoring the spirit of your warranty, we were met with resistance, minimal repairs, and leadership unwilling to engage. Your dealership lacks accountability, transparency, and genuine customer care. Buyer beware. Bought a certified used car that had obviously not been checked over. Talk to the sales person on the way home from the dealership who assured me he'd have it taken care of in 24 hours wound up having to show up at the dealership couple of days later to be told. They didn't know anything about the problem. The customer service rep was the highlight of my entire experience she was absolutely wonderful and the only thing that kept me from just trying to return the car as a lemon. They were able to fix the car in less than two hours, but they have no communication between departments and are absolutely horrible to try to deal with unless you're physically on their property. read more

Do not do business with this place. I will start off with the good. The only good experience was with Sergio, our salesman. He was very attentive and a pleasure to be around. Now the bad. Their finance department seems like they have no idea what they are doing. First, they do the paperwork on the wrong car. I caught it when we were almost done signing everything. They probably wouldn't have ever caught it. Then I find out they did the finance application wrong so they have to resubmit 2 weeks later so now I have 2 separate hard inquiries on my credit from the same bank but 2 weeks apart. Then they don't send all the right documents to the bank. The bank sends me a letter saying my application will be denied in 2 days because they are missing documents. I call the bank and they tell me what's missing but it has to come from the dealership. They said they have been trying to contact the dealership but nobody will return their calls. That is a fact because I left so many messages with that dealership and nobody returns calls there. I finally speak with the David, the general sales manager who gets Maceo, the finance manager to call me back. He said he sent the documents over and has a confirmation to prove they received it that morning but it hasn't been uploaded yet. Lets fast forward to today now. I went to the dmv to get my tag because my temporary tag expires in 2 days because they never mailed me my tag because it took them almost a month to get all the documents to the bank to get the application approved. The dmv tells me they cannot give me a permanent tag because the papers still haven't been filed. They said they cannot extend my temporary tag because the one issued to me from the dealership is an out of state temporary tag even though I live in GA. So another thing they screwed up. So I go to the dealership to try to figure all of this out. Steve is at the front desk so I speak with him first. Then I speak with Maceo who eventually becomes aggressive and threatens to hit me. I hope nobody else has to experience what I have experienced at this place. If you insist on going, talk with Sergio. He is a great salesman and the only part of the entire experience that I enjoyed. read more

When you have an issue here anyone working there that can do something about it, WONT trust me. If they don't like you they won't give you costumer service that they would give to the next person. And watch out for BINGSUI. He's the worst offender. My family came here and has purchased multiple cars. Only because the first service years ago was so spectacular. That has dramatically changed. They say they take care of their costumers but their costumer service leaves a lot to be desired so do not drink the kool aid! They misrepresent everything and BONGSUI! Ong if bingsui is your sales rep....RUN don't walk. They need to let him go because he doesn't not represent Hyundai costumer service well. He leaves you with a bad experience every time! He is a penny pincher for the company and unfortunately the costumer service suffers. I won't be coming back. I watched the service center give a girl a free complimentary oil change and then they turned me away even though they left a sticker on the car that misrepresents their complimentary maintenance promotion. And I bought my car from them 2 months ago! A Criminal Enterprise: The service department at Rick Case Hyundai, in Duluth is currently running some sort of racketeering operation! Three months ago my passenger front door was no longer able to open from the outside. Opening it from the inside works fine. I finally decided to get this taken care of and did an internet search to make sure it wasn't a simple issue I could resolve myself. Within several minutes realized that this problem is common with Hyundai Elantra owners of cars from 2017 - 2021. Definitely a manufacturing issue but no public recalls on the issue. There a quick one time temporary fix but once the door is locked the problem comes back so owners have to take the cars in to have the door lock actuators replaced. I'm a single man, in my 50's whos children are grown and out on their own. I barely have passengers in my car unless it's the grandkids who sit in car seats in the back. So there's no way my door lock actuator should be worn out due to normal use. I've never had to get one replaced with any car I've owned previously. I scheduled a service with Rick Case, in Duluth, to have this resolved. They call me about 4-5 hours later to say we have to replace the door lock actuator and parts and labor will cost $589.59!!!!! GTFOH! I said absolutely NOT. I'll be there to pick it up don't fix anything. I'm not going to pay you to resolve what clearly is a manufacturing issue. I finally arrived to pick up my car and these fuK!ng criminals hit me with a $243.32 DIAGNOSTIC fee! Are you kidding me?!?!?!? How much diagnosing did you have to do to determine the door lock actuator has to be replaced. It took my several minutes doing an internet search. So on top of the diagnostic fee they charged me I can now bring it back anytime to pay $589.59 to fix the door lock actuator. A total of $832.91 to have them fix an issue with their manufacturing with their 2017-2021 Elantras. Now here's the kicker. I called my local independent mechanic and had him give me a quote to get that door lock actuator replaced and the total including parts/labor....$345!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say the criminal enterprise at Rick Case Hyundai, in Duluth, will never see me again. I will also report this to the BBB. I'm curious about manufacturers over charging customers to fix known manufacturing issues on their automobiles. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have experienced the WORST possible customer service with Rick Case Hyundai's service department. I have a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe that has recently experienced a "shifter system malfunction! Service immediately" on my display panel. The first time I took it to Rick Case, I drove into the service bay with the error on. I instructed one of the techs standing there to visually verify the error code. He stated "wow, I've never seen that". I was contacted 8 hours later stating "Unfortunately we could not find any codes". Okay, I pick up the car and drive 2.7 miles home and the same error code comes on! I call the dealership (Rick Case Hyundai) and state it came on again. I was advised to make ANOTHER service appointment for an "extended diagnostic" meaning they would keep my car for 24 hours and try to recreate the problem. I dropped of my car again, and stated I needed a loaner vehicle as I have to get to work, and this was the second time my car has been in for service. I was told "we are not authorized to give you a loaner car until Hyundai approves it" and you need to contact Consumer Affairs for approval". I obviously was not happy, but had no choice. I received a call the next day stating that the technician drove it for 30 miles and "could not duplicate" the problem. I again was not happy with that response as between myself and my wife, we have 15 time stamped pictures of the error code. I spoke with Tammy Baker the service manager at Rick Case Hyundai and was spoken to somewhat disrespectfully and with no compassion to my situation. I reluctantly picked up my car the next day. I drove out of the dealership, turned right and drove half a block and the SAME error light came on! I drove back to the dealership extremely irritated and pulled into the service bay. I asked my service advisor what was going on with the car and my frustration was evident. His response was not the most professional, after which he walked away from me. I did take pictures in the service department while I was waiting for the keys. All the service advisors had plates of food at their workstations while customers are waiting and watching them eat. I took several pictures and sent them to Tammy Baker, the service manager, asking her if this was acceptable behavior from the service advisors; and if Rick Case would approve. I have yet to receive a response. *1/31/25* I have STILL not received a response from Rick Case Hyundai in Duluth in relation to this post. I bought my brand new 2022 Palisade during the car shortage and since the day we drove off the lot, it has been nothing but issues with this car and dealership. Our buying experience was less than a 1 star rating as we already had our cashiers check sent from our bank that was overnighted to us, to only bring it Steve the next day for him to argue with us that it was off by $7. A $50,000 car and you're not going to take off $7?! He didn't like that the girl selling it to us was not a regular sales associate (he's a huge racist too, just look him up on FB, I had to in order to understand why someone is so misogynistic). He was probably upset because we didn't finance through them and thank god we didn't. Fast forward to today when this car that only has 50,000 miles on has 3 open recalls and just had to have the entire transmission replaced after an epic battle. Again, thank god it was under warranty still, but it definitely took a lot of fighting and persistence to even get them to consider a transmission (which is a known recall with Palisades- again beware). I had 2 rental cars through them and it took 7 weeks to get this done. 7 weeks. Of fighting, of them trying not to pay at every corner, manipulation and scamming to the highest degree. I finally go to pick up my car today, and what do you know. A scratch on the rim "that definitely was not there before." They tried to charge us $250 because regardless of what they say, nothing is truly covered "under warranty." They will get you some way, somehow. Then, to my surprise, the service lady, Tammy Baker, tells me I'm not even supposed to have been driving the car because my name isn't on it. Except, we have all the documentation and email communication that says I was in fact added, along with our insurance information. I called Hyundai corporate and spoke to a lovely lady where I filed a formal complaint against this specific dealership, and also let me know, after being repaired, my car still has 3 open recalls, one there isn't even a remedy yet! Lessons learned here: this specific Rick Case Hyundai will try and scam you no matter what, they will try and not pay out parts and replacements under the warranty and if they do, be prepared for an epic battle, and if you ever have a loaner from them, take pictures and videos of the rental cars because they will try and get anything they can out of you. They decided to wait until after we dropped off the rental to tell us that. After having it for 5 weeks. "Oh, your husband should have taken his own photos." Oh, did you tell him that? "No." My eyes can't roll back inside my head far enough. So buyer beware. And maybe look elsewhere other than Hyundai. Because this was the first and last Hyundai I will ever buy. read more

Just like you to know how terrible an experience my wife and I had at your dealership and a sales rep name Braxton. We will be getting a new vehicle in the very near future and had stopped earlier in the day at Jim Ellis. It was a very pleasant experience which focused 100% on customer service. We decided to stop at your facility in Duluth to compare. That was a big mistake and one I will be sharing with many of our friends. We arrive and meet Braxton who speaks with my wife indicating that he will see "who is in the cue" and have them help us. After speaking with Braxton, my wife said to me that something didn't feel right. We stood around for 5 minutes and no one helped us despite a half a dozen of the staff just hanging at the counter. We decided to look around the lot and after 10 minutes we returned to the front desk area. We stood there for another 5 minutes (I had started a clock to time how long when my wife told me that something didn't seem right). I finally spot Braxton sitting in a cubicle shooting the breeze and lift my arms and ask if we are going to be helped. He jumps up and starts coming at me in a very aggressive and agitated motion and I had to take some steps back as I thought there was going to be physical contact. I was taken aback and appalled at his condescending attitude. He started to be a real jerk by telling us we were taking him away from another customer which was a bold lie as my wife had observed him putting his stuff in his backpack as if he was leaving. When we said never mind and started to leave, I then got more of his condescending attitude as he mentioned to give him 5 stars in the ratings along with many other antagonistic statements. While Braxton was the target of this message, it should be noted that no one else even lifted a finger to help us which added to the lackadaisical attitude that prevailed throughout the facility. You do not have to respond with the customary "we are sorry" response. We just felt that individuals representing your company would have been more professional and customer oriented. This dealership engages in fraud, false advertising and deception. They list vehicles that they have no intention of selling and then they lie about the condition of the vehicle. They list vehicles at a price that in reality the vehicle 's value is much less. They do this to trick consumers into coming in, wasting consumer's time, money, gas, energy and thoughts. They also demand that you finance through them even though you have your own financing, that's when they REFUSE to sale you the vehicle and kick you off the property, claiming trespassing. This was our first stop in our car buying adventure. Salih was our guy we explained what we were looking for our price range and this was our first stop of the day. He listened to everything we told him. He was kind, patient, and understanding that we were not going to buy in this moment and we were going to check out a few other cars before making this big purchase. They did give us an amazing offer and we did leave but after several hours and a less then satisfying experience at another dealership where I felt like I was a hostage because they took my car to get appraised and kept bringing cars I didn't want to look at because they didn't have the one I did want to test drive after checking their inventory before going and it was false information. After almost 2 hours there we called Salih and let him know we'd be coming back wanted to make sure that deal was still on the table. We finally made it back and was able to get the car we should have gotten all along!! Everyone was so nice sales, finance, and management....we would highly recommend buying from Rick Case Hyundai best experience ever!!! read more
