I ended up going with a build your own burger, which had a veggie patty (very good, perks for not being a black bean) with swiss, onion straws & mushrooms. I had a side of pickle fries that were baked to perfection- I reaaaally enjoyed those! We also got their medium sized wings with sweet chili sauce- perfect amount of spice and some meaty wings. They had a small size on happy house which we'll get next time! The inside was a bit slow, but that's also because it was 9pm on a friday lol! The service was wonderful again, so im looking forward to coming back.

They also have bar seating, a number of high top tables and a nice outdoor seating area with a mix of high and low tables. Our server, Eva, was very pleasant and helpful. We weren't in a hurry so we sipped our waters, studied the menu and visited. Eva was understanding and patient. We ended up ordering drinks. The little one had a kid's vanilla shake, two of had draft beers and one of us stuck with water. A bit later, we ordered food as follows: - Fried Pickles appetizer - Soup (Chili) Salad (Mixed Greens) and Bread Stick - Mushroom and Swiss Burger with Ranch Fries - Cheesesteak Sandwich with Cajun Fries - Kid's Burger with Apple Sauce The food and drinks were decent. We'd return to Boulder Tap House.

Looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat while staying in Superior, we came across The…read moreShack. I said no at first because it looked like a depressed bar but what set it to a yes instead was the glorious smell that wafted from the restaurant during the afternoon before we went while they were freshly smoking their meats. So when the decision came to find a place, we said why not? We came on a Friday, which was even better, because we were able to take advantage of their Friday fish fry. I looked on Yelp to see what we should order while here and the fish fry got a lot of mentions so we decided to try that and some of their BBQ. The fish fry was worth the mention. It was AYCE but I would be surprised if you could want more after the first plate with their generous portions sizes. The fries were in-house hand cut and covered with Parmesan cheese. The fish was crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. It was a great Up North-style fish fry. The BBQ was very good as well. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it came on a giant bun. Once again, the portion sizes were very generous. The sandwich came with a side of homemade BBQ sauce but honestly the meat had such a good flavor I didn't even need to add any to the sandwich. I have to give them a thumbs up for making many of their items like sauces and sides in-house even though it seemed like they could get away with less quality for being a small town bar & grill. This place really hit the spot, we were looking for no frills comfort food, and that is exactly what we found at The Shack. Price point vs. portion sizes were great and the service was small town friendly and prompt. Looks can be deceiving but The Shack isn't the dumpy bar I thought it was at first and I am glad we gave this place a shot.
