The drinks are well made and if you don't like it they are happy to make a new one usually free of charge. The "tap wall" is a fun way to try local brews and an affordable price and the duckpin bowling was very fun although had some minor issues. While we recognize this is not a 218 tap house issue and is an issue with the bowling company. It is the only reason they are getting 4 out of 5. The customers we have interviewed love going to 218 tap house for trivia, the tap wall, bowling, the atmosphere and the friendly staff. It's recommended by all and enjoyed by all. They sat us all quickly and efficiently, food was fast and the service was great. The cheese curds are like crunchy cubes of heaven served with a side of ranch. I had the Reuben and I can say I'd absolutely order it again. There were tons of juicy pieces of their tender corned beef and tangy sauerkraut. The cheese was perfectly melty, and the sandwich itself wasn't overly sauced or greasy. My partner had a burger and it was cooked just as he ordered and well seasoned - he enjoyed it! Definitely more of an up-scale place but they have a beautiful view, picture 'vintage supper club' vibes. Booth and table seating is available. Looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat while staying in Superior, we came across The…read moreShack. I said no at first because it looked like a depressed bar but what set it to a yes instead was the glorious smell that wafted from the restaurant during the afternoon before we went while they were freshly smoking their meats. So when the decision came to find a place, we said why not? We came on a Friday, which was even better, because we were able to take advantage of their Friday fish fry. I looked on Yelp to see what we should order while here and the fish fry got a lot of mentions so we decided to try that and some of their BBQ. The fish fry was worth the mention. It was AYCE but I would be surprised if you could want more after the first plate with their generous portions sizes. The fries were in-house hand cut and covered with Parmesan cheese. The fish was crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. It was a great Up North-style fish fry. The BBQ was very good as well. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it came on a giant bun. Once again, the portion sizes were very generous. The sandwich came with a side of homemade BBQ sauce but honestly the meat had such a good flavor I didn't even need to add any to the sandwich. I have to give them a thumbs up for making many of their items like sauces and sides in-house even though it seemed like they could get away with less quality for being a small town bar & grill. This place really hit the spot, we were looking for no frills comfort food, and that is exactly what we found at The Shack. Price point vs. portion sizes were great and the service was small town friendly and prompt. Looks can be deceiving but The Shack isn't the dumpy bar I thought it was at first and I am glad we gave this place a shot.
