Buyers beware. These people will tell you anything to get your money. Will not stand behind their word and basically rip you off. Put a $2000 deposit on a rv with understanding that the issues with the rv would be fixed by delivery. They were not and they would not refund the deposit. So basically I ended up with a new rv that is damaged. Their service department said it would have to be repaired under warranty. A brand new travel trailer? And it would have to be brought to their Menifee location access the repairs pick the trailer back up and brought back when the parts arrive. This is 82 miles away from my home. Well I knew it was too good to be true. My initial review of Richardsons RV was great....until....3 months in their service center and $2100 in repairs later. The leveling jacks never worked properly since day 1 and were reset the day we picked up the trailer (found that info out later), constant resetting of jacks for a year until we decided to take it in. All of a sudden it's our fault due to rodent damage. Being newbies in owning a trailer, we relied on the "experts" here. We had a crash course in our trailer's operation and off we went towing a beast with the wrong hitch size given to us. We went through email and phone call hell with the service Dept (Tony) and service manager (Michael) who somehow disappeared in the whole process and just didn't care to make it right. So here we are to pick up our trailer (finally) and the spare tire is on because a screw was found in the sidewall and immediately fault is tossed back at us cause "they don't carry those screws here". WTH?! I brought it in and the tires were fine! So now we have to fix our tire and buy the proper sleeve for the hitch cause again it's our fault they don't carry it. So lesson to be learned: 1) Do your research on trailers and towing weight of vehicle and hitches 2) Don't buy from Richardsons RV read more

We want to give a shout out and thank you to "Gunny" at Richardson's RV. We have been looking for a while for a travel trailer. We headed from OC to Temecula today to see what we could find. "Gunny", a Marine veteran was our sales guy. We hit the jackpot. He was so nice, and knowledgeable. He pointed out things we hadn't even thought of. He knows his stuff and not too pushy but gave us things to consider. I think we found what we want and will be back to visit "Gunny". Wow Richardson's.... Clearly you do not understand the concept that it is cheaper to keep the customer base happy, rather than disenchanting them and then wondering how you can foster up a marketing campaign to win them back. I just Tee'd up an incredible opportunity for you to improve your "not so stellar" 2.5 star average rating but you didn't take the bait. My friends bought a 2020 Open Range 26BHS that was delivered to the Temecula CA lot and the OEM (Highland Ridge) bolted the wrong spare to the back (six lug vs the correct 5 lug wheel) My friends never noticed the mistake, as most would just assume the OEM takes serious ownership of inspection quality control, etc... My friends sold it to me, and I experienced a flat on my first road trip. Was greatly inconvenienced to be stuck in Nephi UTAH Truck Stop, after jacking up the rig and finding we had a bogus spare. After fixing the tire in the parking lot and returning home, I visited the selling lot, Richardson's RV Temecula CA. The Sales and Service Staff were not inspired by my experience at all. Since the OEM (Jayco - Highland Ridge) shipped the rig, with the incorrect Spare to Richardson's RV Temecula, my thought was maybe they would take ownership. Not so... Was equally blown off by them as well. So... for the cost of a (roughly) $200 spare tire/wheel , Richardson's has lost a future customer and potentially his listening audience as well. Do not purchase from this dealership. Unprofessional product walkthrough, misinformed the manufacturer warranty, still waiting two months for a circulation fan sold as broken on new travel trailer. Service Manager and Business Development Manager passing the buck to those not in charge. We are ready to file a lawsuit against the dealership. Report to Better Business Bureau. read more

Service has seriously declined at this RV dealership, this is my second rig purchased from Richardson's, called to request emergency maintenance due to a kitchen slide not coming out and the refrigerators full of food, was told the first available appointment would be a month and 1/2 away. After 20 years of continuing business with this dealership you think they would have a concern for their customers. They referred a mobile maintenance guy named "Mike" I made an appointment with him, confirmed the appointment the day prior and "Mike" never showed up or even called..! So bottom line don't rely on Richardson's RV service when you need them! read more

This business does not care about you or your RV. If you purchased elsewhere you are treated as second class. They could not fix a sink drain leak after 2 tries I fixed it myself. They damaged my 5th wheel hitch twice and then argued with me about it. They did replace the part TWICE. I have never felt so unappreciated. I will not ever return to Richardsons. read more

Menifee Service department is everything these other reviews say it is. Horrible. The customer service is abysmal. Why do you act like you are doing us a favor by completing warranty work. We paid for that service people! Figure out how to not be rude and condescending. For the sake of humanity, fire you service desk people and put some people in who know how to talk to people on the phone and in person. I literally stood at the counter for 20 minutes waiting for someone to say hello, and after they started talking I wished they hadn't. Your service takes FOREVER to get an answer. It takes months to get an appointment and more months to get the work done. Last time my rv sat in some dirty ass lot up there for months. When I got it back it was filthy and you refused to wash it. Horsecrap! it was 6 months old and in for warranty work, which I understand, but losing the entire summer of rv'ing because it was in your shop...or collecting pine tree sap somewhere all over the paint job...is unacceptable. read more

Me and my wife went into Richardsons RV to look at a fifth wheel this should be our fourth RV we have purchased we have purchased the previous three from giant RV we have never ever had an issue we went in we spoke with several people found an RV that we really liked and purchased it a week later we picked it up the RV was supposed to be ready to go RV had issues that they were supposed to correct this was never done we took the RV back less than 30 days later to have these issues corrected they told us there was a 10 day waiting period before they would touch the RV this is day 32 and they still have not touched my RV and can't give me a good reason why worst customer service ever I will never spend another nickel with this company I will take my repairs elsewhere from now on read more

Worst customer service ever originally I went in and spoke with Ryan he gave me his card I told him exactly what I was looking for and I gave him a price only $5,000 under asking for a brand new $60,000 fifth wheel I told him to see what he can do and give me a call back he never called back I even gave him my email I never got an email a week later I tried calling back spoke with the front desk I asked if I can be transferred to a customer service sales manager it went straight to voicemail twice on the third attempt she transferred me to service department finally I drove down with my friend I spoke with Peter unbelievably rude I asked what the reason was behind never getting a call back he said he probably didn't call you back because of the price you offered I said that sounds a little inconsiderate wouldn't you say and suddenly he realized how rude he was being an agreed and went on to tell me his background in sales and how he went to school for it tried to pull me into a trailer that I had zero interest in just to show me paperwork on it and how the fees work finally after telling him my offer for the second time he replied I'm going to hand you off to my associate at that point I gave the original business card back to the manager or what looked to be the manager but never introduced himself and left.
