The food is ok and not that pricey. My favorite is bbq pork but sometimes it's lack of sauce. It's a hit and miss situation. Curry beef is pretty good but it could be better if the curry is thicker. You get your entree w/ rice, soup, and wonton/eggroll. However, the fried wonton doesn't have a filling...?? That one kind of through me for a loop. We were exhausted and tired and had no strength to leave our home to get dinner. So we found this place via yelp and thought we would try it out simply because they had a delivery option and the pics didn't look too bad. We noticed that the take-out plate had four holes at the top of the plate. This was smart because when our food arrived, the items that were supposed to be crunchy were still crunchy and the perfect temp for eating. Our 9 year old son didn't have to wait to cool off his food, it was perfect for him to eat when it arrived. The food tasted fresh and our son, who doesn't eat a lot, ate ALL of his food. I have tried lemon chicken at other places and just stopped ordering it. I thought it wouldn't hurt for me to try it since I ordered another dish as my main entree. I am so glad that I did. The sauce is what makes this dish yummy for me. It was SO GOOD that I was bummed when I finished the dish the next day. Our delivery took less than the time they quoted us when we ordered. The food here is really good, but it is so cluttered in that restaurant. I always get my food to go, I never eat in the restaurant. They use the front part of the restaurant as a nursery for their kids and a storage space, instead of a place for their customers to sit. The delivery is always quick and the food is always hot. The orange chicken, orange shrimp, fried crab & cream cheese wontons, and pineapple fried rice are amazing. Although good food, delivery is awful. They forgot my drink 2 different times I've ordered. And they were late I had 10 mins to eat. When I called the delivery man he said he could come with it in 10 mins. And then I called the restaurant. The lady asked me what she should do? Only future answer: Deliver on time and accurately! Ordered the crab Rangoon wantons, chow mein and the Mongolian beef, mine and my boyfriends typical faves. They were....just okay. The lo mein and crab Rangoon were easier on the taste buds than the Mongolian beef, which was really just onions and beef. You know how Chinese food from certain places has that quality of each dish tasting exactly the same? This one tastes sweet, this one tastes salty, this one tastes like oyster sauce...it was that type of Chinese food. If your expectations are high, you'll probably be disappointed. I was. I haven't written a review for a while, but I was so offended today that I had to write right away! My wife ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Broccoli Beef dinners for delivery. Well, yes, the Kung Pao was good until I bit something really hard. When I spit it out, I discovered that there were some stones in my food! Two small off white rocks! We called and spoke to the manager, Katie, and advised her of the rocks. First she said she did not put rocks in my food. She said I could bring the food back and show her, but again, there are no rocks in the food. We then explained we didn't order delivery to have to drive to this place to show her the bad food, so we asked for a refund...which Katie refused! To make matters worse, she told me that I need to "respect her time" because she needs to take other customers' orders! She also kept placing me on hold for long periods. I hesitantly rave about Rice Kitchen because it is the nicest couple and their baby (literally a Mom and Pop shop in a little strip mall with the yummiest food ever) and if everybody goes there, I will be sad because it is rarely busy and just sofa king good...I'm not kidding. All of the family is picky as heck, especially me because looking at MSG puts me in ICU (allergy) and I detest salt (see last point) AND grease makes my stomach turn - I have ordered Rice Kitchen over a dozen times and NEVER felt bad after...rare for me and Chinese food but I digress.... The kids order orange chicken every time...yum: the ginger, lack of grease (ik, digressing) and the flavor is just yummy. I get chow mien (did I mention lack of grease?) or wonton soup and both are really good, husband gets the combo fried rice (ok, now if the owners read this they totally know who it is :) and it is all freaking great...ijs. Please don't go there though...I hate crowds. OMG, they just delivered and I am not even going to tell you how the cute delivery driver had on a red sweater (its December) and was just sweet as can be...no I am not bc you guys are just going to ruin my perfect little place...happens every time. DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE. Trust me when I say this. We ordered many, many deliveries from here in the past. The containers and the food inside all look well prepared. The lunch specials were always delicious. Why the 180? It's only when we actually decided to stop and DINE-IN at the last minute did we change our opinion of the place. First thing we noticed is the gold Camry the driver uses to deliver food. The driver's door has BUILD-UP from his dirty hands. When we went inside we saw a man preparing food in one of the dining room tables! We noticed the window sills are low and you can see years of BUILD-UP crud on them. There were two toddlers running around NUDE on the bottom. One of the kids handed our Soda cans nude on the bottom and ran around, tripped, and fell on the ground. The kids also used the steel mixing bowls as hats and I saw them use it immediately without washing it. The lady that answers the phone orders also works at the counter. She had to mop up a mess but ended up scooping my rice right afterwards WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. Her thumb was deep into the bowl. We ate our shrimp with lobster sauce without the rice when we saw that. Lastly, the cook came out and he wore a wifebeater and apron after we were done eating.
