This restaurant is responding to Covid by serving drive-through service *only*. However, they are still accepting phone-in "take-out" orders. When you arrive to pick up a take-out order, you must wait in the drive through with all of the people who have not ordered in advance. This food is not quick to prepare (nor should it be), so we waited in a drive-through line for an inordinately long time for food that is prepared and sitting on the countertop getting cold, while people ahead of us in line who have not ordered yet wait for their food to be cooked. When I called to ask if we could pick up at the door, the woman informed me that we are in a pandemic many other restaurants who wish to be this careful have successfully transitioned by placing a long table across the front door, not allowing customers inside, but accepting payment for takeout orders at the door. It's the same amount of contact as drive-through service, and has the benefit of making some semblance of sense. Or, if they insist on drive-through only, don't accept take-out orders or at the VERY least, explain that we'll be waiting in the drive-through line either way, so might as well wait to order when we arrive and get it fresh. We'd love to be back after Covid because the food is great, but this is the most nonsensical response I've seen from a restaurant, so we'll wait until they reopen to return. read more

This is a good, quick, chinese food place. It's not fine dining, but they don't claim to be, either. They fill the niche of a fast food Chinese restaurant, and they do it reasonably well. I have eaten here several times and overall I like it. I have personally had the Sweet & Sour Pork pretty much every time I have been here. My wife has had the Cashew Chicken and said that it's good but not great. For what the place is, it's decent. If you're looking for a great place for a family night out to celebrate something, this is probably not the place for you, but if you're a local who just wants a quick meal to go, I'd recommend it. read more

"Take out" got thrown out, into the garbage. Not sure what's happened to the integrity of their food lately but it was horrible. We were in a hurry and super hungry so clearly rice-EXPRESS seemed like the way to go! It was so delicious!!! They have lots of choices on the menu and for a good price. My husband and I like it better than Panda Express! The only complaint I have is the chicken was a little over cooked, but the rice and veggies were cooked to perfection! HIT OR MISS/NICKLE AND DIME YOU When I first moved to the area in 2019 the food was really good. The last few times I visited the food wasn't all that good. A few weeks ago I ordered the Mongolian Beef. It was to much sauce on and very little meat in it. Today I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai it was runny.. Needless to say the majority of it was trashed. We order from here a little too often but the food is always solid. One time they messed up our order and I received the wrong entree which was a huge bummer because everyone else was happily chowing down while I sat with the wrong meal, and I tried calling and no one picked up, so I lost a few dollars there. But that was literally one bad experience when they were extremely busy on a weekend night. The other thousand times we've ordered the food has always been the same great quality. Super delicious, the wait is a little longer for me because I always order so much food for our large family, but everyone else seems to go through the line really quickly, so I think the wait time is great. I guess they changed their hours for the COVID-19 situation, but I still got there before 8 and I was told they were no longer serving people. Couldn't back out of the drive thru, because there were people behind me... so I got to wait until 8:10 when the person in front of me finally got their food and I could leave. I've been in the service industry for years, and you don't get to just set your own hours because you don't feel like serving people until the time you close. 8pm on a Saturday is already ridiculously early. read more

Stopped in here on way home from vacation. Did not want usual burger and fries. This is located right behind the gas station in Anna, TX. Was really good. We both had the General Zho chicken. Delicious. They also had a great menu with teriayki flavor, lo mein, and even fried cat fish. Stop here instead of the burger and fries joint. read more

We were in town from Georgia and picked up some food at this Rice Express location to take back to our rental house. The food was delicious and they offered lots of different choices that matched up with everyone's dinner request. Now here's the best part of the story... I left my credit card at the counter and did not realize it until I flew home to GA the next day. I called the restaurant and Fred answered the phone. He had saved my credit card in a safe place and asked when I could come by to pick it up. I told him him I was already back in GA so he offered to mail it to me! Fred gave me his personal cell number and I texted him my home address. Within a couple of minutes he texted back a photo of the addressed envelope and my credit card. This has become a staple in my family! We come here at least twice a month. Everything is great and I have tried over half the menu at some point! I actually love the hot and sour soup! Dining in or take out are both fantastic. The takeout window can back up a bit sometimes but that just proves they are making your food when you order it. read more

Gave this a chance against my judgment (thought it would be fast food quality)...big surprise. Food comes out on glass plates with silverware. The serving sizes are generous and the flavors are complex and mind blowing. The beef and pork are both tender and delicious. Not a fan of the shrimp however but the general tso chicken is the go to plate my husband gets (he's gotten at least 6 times in the past few months). I have a picky 11 year old but she eats the orange chicken like it's NOT orange chicken. Don't pass this place thinking it's standard fast food. They also deliver. read more

This is an odd review because I'm actually a big fan of this place. I've been getting takeout here for years and the food is excellent. The management and staff are always friendly. However, the last two times I've ordered takeout, I've been forced to sit in the drive through line for up to 30 minutes, behind people who have not called in their orders. This is ridiculous! Most other restaurants will at least let you walk in to pick up your order at the counter. There is also plenty of room inside for Covid limited seating. Simply no reason to keep the door closed and force everyone into same drive through line! If you are really that afraid of the mutated cold germ with the .02% mortality rate, let customers call from the parking lot when they arrive and have a runner take the food out to them. We just moved here so figured we would try the nearest Chinese takeout. This blew our other usual place in Mckinney out of the water! We both got General Tso chicken and hot and sour soup. It was hot and fresh and the chicken was so juicy and tender. Seriously did not expect it to be so delicious as it is just usual takeout but WOW. Can't beat the prices either. Either as a dine-in or takeout, the food is pretty decent and served quite hot. I'm particularly fond of the Szechuan dish, because it is a meal with plenty of heat and spice. The veggies have a fine crisp and crunch to them, and the egg rolls aren't bad either. Fried dumplings are really good, you can get them steamed too. The food takes awhile to cook so you will be in line for 10+ minutes usually but it's worth it. Egg rolls are really good and so is the General Tso Chicken. Sometimes the chicken is a little gristly especially the larger pieces but I've found this true in most American Chinese fast food places. The portions are large. The only negative really is that they only have one size drink and it's quite small after all the ice. read more
