I have visited China several times and have eaten a lot of Chinese food. Many of my Chinese acquaintances confessed to me that they actually enjoy eating Chinese food in the US more than what they get there. Some flavors there can be pretty extreme. I found a restaurant that serves the kind of food that is welcomed by everyone. Not too extreme but still very authentic. It's the Rice Xpress in Princeton. Four of us ate there recently. We ordered four dishes. King Pao chicken. Mooshu shrimp. Mixed vegetables. Fried catfish. Everything was delicious. The place is clean, casual and the service friendly. You aren't paying for fancy interior decor. Prices are reasonable. My highest recommendation is not the number of stars but whether I will return for another meal. I definitely will. When I call its always driver left 10mins ago (we live 7mins away)! i've even asked if we can come pick up the order instead and they always say 10 mins driver on the way, today will be our last time ordering here! I'm new to Texas and what a sad disgusting way to be greeted by. As soon as I stepped into the restaurant the old yuk at the counter gave me the most distasteful look. ( which I put up with because I was really craving Chinese) however this man had no patience whatsoever. I asked for help on how to order and he kept getting frustrated with me and rolling his eyes. (Mind you I come from California so the serving style is a bit different). I ended up not ordering because his character made me upset. I don't know if this is the manager or just a sad worker but what a way to scare off costumers. I can see why this place had no people and a handful of bad reviews. The picture attached is supposed to be an orange chicken, and it tasted stale and rock hard I'm guessing fried in some type of old oil. The second dish was schichuan chicken . There was almost no chicken and the veggies were probably old or bad quality. I would like the owner to reach out to me and provide refund since this cant be called food....
