On the other hand, the service was friendly and the food was excellent. We ordered the soto ayam (chicken noodle soup) and ayan penyei (smash chicken). The soup was quite flavorful and loaded with veggies, a nice texture and easily a meal - not your typical chicken and noodles soup. The smash chicken dish appeared to be a roasted free-range chicken, fall-off-the-bone tender and with crispy skin and a great flavor, which paired well with the accompanying rice. We were both quite impressed with the food. Overall, great food, but a horribly long wait for it. We'd like to return, but have to plan for the wait or maybe order to go.
