    Indonesian Mie Goreng
    Celia S.

Rice was undercooked, Sesame Chicken was dry as well as Mie Goreng noodle dish with shrimp and chicken. Noodles undercooked like it had been precooked and sitting in the kitchen for a while. It had 2 shrimp the rest chicken. The Hot and Sour soup is excellent. Very disappointed as I have enjoyed my past dishes, Hopefully, they'll do better next time.

Tried the Mie Ayum Jumar, the Beef Rendang Sapi and triple delight. The portions were too small for the price. I believe I received 6 pieces of chuck roast for the curry beef and the chicken in the Mie Ayum was was less than 10 small cubes of chicken. I also tried the triple delight which was bland and and semi breaded. Not the worst food ever eaten but I do not believe worth reordering. Definitely not the best. I don't understand the almost 5 stars for the place. Maybe I ordered the wrong items.

This is my go to for quick Chinese food! Been coming here once a week for the lunch special, can't beat it! For $8 you get a starch, protein, soup, and a egg roll! Great deal! Now I haven't had anything else but the beef broccoli with fried rice, so I can't elaborate on the rest of the menu. But the beef broccoli is good! Lots of beef, just the right amount of crunch in the broccoli, not overly seasoned. Good stuff for cheap! The fried rice is meh. The egg rolls are okay, and the won ton soup is okay. But for the price, you can't beat this place!

All the hype in the reviews don't match the experience I got. Lunch Portions are a good deal however I wasn't blown away with the flavors. Service was good. I was in and out within 35 minutes and it was peak lunch hours .

Ok this place has flavor! At first I was worried but after trying this one dish on my lunch, I've realized I need to try other dishes! This place is quite small. Had the lunch special orange chicken, amazing! Very tasty and very yummy! Had really good seasoning. I want to try this place again and this time try more dishes! So I can give a detailed Yelp review. Service was attentive, I was the only one in the restaurant so that was nice.

This is the best Indonesian food in town! It is very authentic and the taste is so Indonesian. The other day, we tried the ramen and also the chinese food dishes and all of them are good. Today review is about their Indonesian food. This time we order the signature chicken dish called Ayam Kalasan. To me, this grilled chicken with sweet and savory sauce is the best. The meat is so tender and pull off very easy from the bone. It comes with a unique sambal as well. Another dish was a street food noodle from Indonesia, Mie Ayam Jamur. This one is a dry noodle with savory chicken and meatball soup. Very unique taste not like any other chinese noodle as this is not too oily and not spicy. I personally add some chilli on it as i like it spicy. On the interior, they have the oriental design that reminds you of Far East Asia. Don't worry about payment, they accept any major cards payment method. So bring your family/friends and order without worry of paying in cash only.

TLDR: Raki packs a punch! This spot has some genuinely awesome offerings that will have you down for the count and on the way to a food coma. Do it. Visit: Weekday (lunch/dinner) Order: Beef Rendang- 8.4/10 This richly complex coconut curry profile with large portions of succulently tender beef is a solid hit. At this point, Raki holds the top spot for the best version of this dish I've tried in Houston. Do yourself a favor and go with flavor. Do it. Pastel- 8.1/10 These were crazy interesting! Think of a cross between an empanada, chicken pot pie, and an egg roll served with a peanut sauce lol. Sounds crazy?! It is. I was pleasantly surprised because I had no idea how this was going to turn out and was glad I gave these a shot. Otak Otak Ikan- 7.7/10 Another unique dish that I'd never heard of and was happy to have tried. Think of an Indonesian tamale, made up of a grilled fish cake wrapped in a banana leaf. Slightly smokey with a springy texture (likened to a fishball) and served with a peanut sauce. Mie Goreng- 8.1/10 An Indonesian staple noodle dish with shrimp, chicken, and a slew of vegetables. The savory noodles are definitely worth a go. Mie Ayam Jamur- 8.1/10 Indonesian noodle dish served with flavorful diced chicken and mushrooms over a crispy wonton-like bowl. It comes with an excellently balanced chicken broth and meatball. Raki is a low key local eatery in Missouri City that is serving up some solid Asian style cuisine. They offer an eclectic mix of Indonesian, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine that in my experience, has been incredibly solid. Granted, I've gone here specifically for the Indonesian fare, I'll go on record to say that everything I've had has been worth it. If you're looking to try something new, I implore you to give Raki a go! You'll be powering through these delicious dishes to the Eye of the Tiger theme in no time. Do it.

He's been telling me about this place for a while, so I came in already expecting great sushi, and it definitely delivered. First off, they have all-day happy hour, which is always a win. We started with the yellowtail sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful such a great way to kick things off. For drinks, he ordered a Legend Old Fashioned, and I went with the lychee martini... and yes, I had two because it was that good light, slightly sweet, and super refreshing. For our rolls, I got the Hot Momma roll and he had the Julie Crunch roll. Everything came out perfectly fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put care into both the quality and the experience. Also, shoutout to Emilio he was so sweet and attentive throughout the night and really made the experience even better. Between the food, drinks, and the overall vibe, this place checked all the boxes. I can 100% see this becoming one of our regular date night spots going forward. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great sushi and a relaxed atmosphere!

Summary: Ever since Taotao, the boba place, arrived at the far end of Missouri City, I discovered…read morethere's a plaza there. Then my friend told me about Sapporo. The venue itself is pretty small, and the menu includes options for all-you-can-eat (AYCE), à la carte dishes, and a boba menu from Taotao. I assume they either share the same owner or are collaborating. I came in wanting to try everything to get a good sense of the restaurant, especially since a friend recommended it. Unfortunately, I couldn't bring myself to like it. Appetizers & Food: Looking at the menu, the AYCE selection seemed limited compared to other places. There were plenty of fried appetizers, but I was hoping for more sushi-style options. Most appetizers had jalapeño, which I'm not a fan of. When I ordered Udon Beef, I specified that I wanted Udon Beef Soup since the menu wasn't clear (and, side note, the menu had lots of typos). When it arrived, it turned out to be fried udon instead. I was then told they didn't have Udon Soup. Normally, when a menu lists udon, it implies soup, but I guess I was mistaken. Sashimi & Sushi: The presentation was decent, and I appreciated the effort, but I'm here for the food, not just the visuals. The sashimi didn't taste fresh; it lacked that buttery, melt-in-your-mouth quality; which I feel like my home-made Salmon tasted better. The sashimi seemed like a lower-grade cut, which highlighted a slight fishiness--not ideal. The scallops were served plain and raw with no seasoning or sauce; Scallops are usually dressed with sauce and some may add mayo or lightly seared to enhance their flavor. When I asked if they could make a scallop roll, they said it would be charged à la carte. While they're not obligated to fulfill my request, it added to the lack of customer-centric vibes. Overall, the quality didn't feel AYCE-worthy. While I know eating raw fish has a risk, but this is a high risk if the fish is not fresh. Rolls The rolls were underwhelming, with little to no sauce. Instead, they relied heavily on jalapeño. Each roll came with 8 pieces, which felt excessive, so we stopped ordering them after 1. I appreciated that Oma Sushi allowed four pieces per roll, reducing waste if you didn't like them. The hand rolls, however, were incredibly dry. For instance, the salmon mango hand roll only had three ingredients--no avocado, cucumber, or sauce to tie it together. It felt bland and incomplete. Service We had both a server and a trainee, and the difference between the two was stark. The server showed little enthusiasm and didn't seem to be guiding the trainee, while the trainee--despite it being her first day--was attentive and kind. For example, we had to ask the server for ponzu sauce multiple times, and she kept forgetting. When we asked the trainee, she brought it to us immediately. And it wasn't even busy; there were plenty of staff around. As for tipping, I wasn't sure how it was split, but I tipped as usual. If it were up to me, I'd give the trainee most of it and little to the server. The trainee was the highlight of the experience--thank you for your effort and professionalism! TLDR: I don't think I'll be coming back. While I enjoy exploring new AYCE places, I often leave disappointed, and this was no exception. I'll stick to my favorites for now. Wishing this business the best, but it's just not for me.

I've passed by Nishiki on numerous occasions so I was overdue to check it out. I stopped by on a Saturday morning with my mom for lunch. Free parking is easy in the shopping center they share with several other businesses including a bubble tea shop. Ambiance (5/5): Nishiki is an elegant restaurant without being stuffy. The decor is fresh and modern. Pretty much the perfect ambiance in my book. Service (5/5): Our waitress did a good job taking care of us. She stopped by regularly, she was efficient, and friendly. Everything you hope for in a service experience. Drinks (5/5): Nishiki has a full bar, but I opted for a Shirley Temple. No judgment lol. I used to love Shirley Temples as a kid. Not something you see on a lot of menus these days so it was a nice surprise. Food (5/5): The chef at Nishiki used to work at Nobu. No surprise as that level of excellence is seen in the food. Their sushi is hand rolled. I had the crunch roll which has tempura shrimp, crab, and avocado. I also tried a seasonal sushi item with scallops that's different from anything I've ever tried before. It was wrapped in seaweed and there is some plastic on the outside that you pull to keep your roll together. Cool concept! We also shared some gyoza and grilled edamame. Pro tip: go with the grilled edamame rather than the regular edamame. The grilled version has garlic and some other seasoning. Edamame to the next level. The food at Nishiki isn't cheap. But the quality is there. There's a reason the reviews are so good. It's now one of my favorite restaurants in town. Up there with Killen's BBQ.
