My boyfriend and I finally found some time to visit this past Friday. (I have a never-ending list of places I want to try out haha). The decor was tasteful and the atmosphere casual. I ordered the Ayam Bali based on our waitress's recommendation and my BF got the Orange Chicken. She wasn't kidding about it being spicy! I was skeptical... I typically am with restaurants that encompass so many different cuisine styles. Trying to do too much usually means no standard in quality, but i have been proven wrong. The husband and i figured we should focus more on the Indonesian side of the menu since neither of us have much experience with its cuisine. I started out the night with the corn fritters. It was crispy, the insides were gooey and I didn't quite get the corn flavor. It also was a bit too oily. I had to blot every piece I ate of the excess oil. My main dish was the Indonesian noodles (mie ayam jamar); the noodles are perfect aldente, umami flavor of the mushrooms was prominent, chicken was tender, bean sprouts were fresh, and the crispy base kept its crispiness with the soup poured in. Thai green tea...utterly delicious. Not overly sweet. Great green tea flavor. Overall, it was delicious. Would definitely come back and try the other aspects of the menu. Try this place out and when you tell your friends don't say you are going for Japanese, or Chinese, or Indonesian, just tell them you are going for Asian food. read more

What a little gem in Missouri City/SL! I've only had their Indonesian special menu. Below is what I've ordered. Soto Ayam- this was my favorite. It comes with glass noodle vermicelli with shredded chicken. The broth is so flavorful. You can taste the ginger and lemongrass in there. I think this soup will cure any cold. I like the cabbage and tomatoes in it. Gives this dish a nice crunch. Soto Mie- this dish came with egg noodles resembling lo mien. The beef is super tender like pot roast. It came with the same vegetables as the Soto ayam. Very good as well. Overall, I am very satisfied with both dishes. The only thing is that portions are very small. I got my order to go and the bowl was really shallow. I was expecting a bowl like at pho restaurants. read more

Went there on Sunday night after bunch of friends recommending the place for legit Indonesian food Got the bakmi ayam jamur and IT WAS SO GOOD! a little bit too sweet to my taste but feels very close to bakmi in Indonesia (need to add tons of chili sauce). Came in around 7pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant quickly got busy but our server, who seemed to be the only one on staff still took the time to make sure I was aware of the menu and gave a great authentic experience. The guy had the job of 8 other employees and managed to run the restaurant smoothly. The food.. Where do I even start? We ordered nasi goreng, (literally could have died and went to Heaven) was amazing. I personally ordered the Crispy chicken and that was even better. A long overdue review. I've actually eaten takeout from here years ago, which I enjoyed very much, but never left a review due to not having photos. Well now I do! There's just something special about the cooking here...the flavors are just right. Not too sweet and a decent kick. Disappointed! We have eaten here a few times, and it was alright at first. Our dinner tonight was not good whatsoever. This is our go to Asian restaurant! Never disappoints and service is always quick and reliable. There was one time they forgot to include an item. The Manager offered to bring the item to our home, however since we live roughly 5 minutes from here, I just went to pick it up and they had it ready as soon As I arrived. I was a bit skeptical of a place that does Chinese, Indonesian, and Japanese. We ordered Agaedashi tofu for appetizer along with two traditional Indonesian dishes. All well executed very well and delicious. Since there's a lot of good Chinese places in the area, we're not sure if we would ever order Chinese dishes here, but will definitely go back for great Indonesian and Japanese food. Came here a few months ago to eat before going to the movies with the family. Slow service but also felt rushed while eating. Odd experience. We came here because the reviews were pretty good but perhaps we shouldn't have since it was a newer establishment. My parents were unimpressed and it was disappointing because they rarely eat out because of experiences that are just not worth it. This only furthered their proof that home-made food is better. Below is what we had. Walnut Shrimp: 1/5 way too sweet and tasted a little weird too. No one wanted to really eat it. My dad only ate the walnuts. I had to eat more than half the plate since I was the one who ordered it. I usually really enjoy walnut shrimp so this was extremely disappointing. Tonkotsu Ramen: 2/5 my brother had this. He didn't think it was very good. The egg was overcooked and there was barely anything in the bowl. Mie Ayam Jamur: 3/5 wanted to try something new and it wasn't terrible thank goodness but it was not anything special. Just tasted like some stir fried instant noodles with a tiny bit of mushroom Beef Teriyaki Bento box: 2/5 my sister could barely finish this box. Everything tasted so off. She is usually not a picky eater. The only thing she didn't complain about was the soup that came with it. Kung Pao Chicken: 1/5 my mom was so excited for this dish because she hasn't had Kung Pao Chicken in years and remembers that she really enjoyed it before years ago (elsewhere of course). Well, she couldn't finish this plate and had to force herself to eat as much of it as she could but in the end had to leave a third of it. She hates wasting food but could not finish it. The egg roll was also no good and they gave her white rice instead of fried rice like she ordered. Chicken with mixed vegetables: 2/5 not as teribble of an experience as my mom but my dad didn't enjoy his much either. It was below expectations but he finished. Mostly because he can't stand wasting food. He didn't find the calories worth it. It was too greasy and did not have flavor. He is a very health conscious eater. Beef Egg Foo Young: 2/5 my sister and I love this dish. Not here but we usually love this dish. It was okay. It wasn't disgusting...but wasn't worth eating. We couldn't get anything to go because we were going to watch a movie so we had to leave this dish unfinished as well. The lady kept cleaning off our table while we were eating. She would ask us questions then not listen to us answer before she walks away. We just felt like we were being brushed off and rushed to get out of there because of the way she kept taking away dishes. Okay, so we are done with the dish, but do you have to come that often? You took your sweet time getting back to us to place our orders. Anyway...we aren't going to be back. We wanted to like it. We were excited...but we left disappointed. read more

Loved our dinner we picked up tonight from Raki!!! Totally chose it because of Yelp Reviews....my kids wanted lomein and fried rice (which - the chicken in both dishes was incredibly tender and had great flavor).... and I simply asked the waitress what she would choose between 3 different dishes.... and she encouraged me to try the orange beef and it was delicious! My 5 yo/9 yo and husband all joined in and dinner was gone in a flash! Definitely a great spot for Chinese food!! We will be going back!! read more

The food was just OK but what we received in the containers was not the amount you would expect for paying $70. The containers were small black round containers holding very little versus other Chinese take out we have used in the past. INDONESIAN FOOD IN SUGAR LAND AREA?! Life is good y'all. Skip past the Chinese and Japanese menus and head straight for their Indonesian specials. The risoles, pempek, batagor, soto betawi, ayam kalasan, and rendang are all very tasty options that we'll definitely order again. Mie ayam jamur is also delicious and simple - very kid-friendly. There are additional specials not listed on the paper menu, so ask!! The only items we'd pass on next time are the kwetiau and pu yung hai - they were okay, but we'd rather save stomach space for their better options. Also, don't miss their martabak manis... they do chocolate, cheese, nuts, and any combo of the three. Tastes like home! The restaurant (and bathroom!) are clean and inviting, and service is quick, friendly, and helpful. You really can't go wrong here. We've been there three times in 2 weeks and planning to head back again soon. Bookmark this place to try ASAP please - we need it to stay open forever! read more

It is extremely hard to find a decent Indonesian dish in Houston! I am constantly craving my native dish. When I'm 12,000 miles away from home and there's not a single Decent quality Indonesian restaurant near me it can be a bit disappointing when other restaurants claimed they serve Indonesian food but just didn't meet your expectations. Raki hands down has the best a Ayam Bali, Nasi Goreng and more (full menu to try on my next visit). Quality and the experience was truly phenomenal. Our waiter guy is a professional and he was the only server that is managing the restaurant and I thought he did fantastic! We will for sure come back again! This place is pretty new, and a very convenient location for Riverstone/Sienna/Lake Olympia residents. I think this used to be New China Restaurant? It's next to Dawn Kolaches across from the Kroger in Missouri City. They offer a variety of Asian fusion cuisines which is nice - Chinese, Japanese and Indonesian fusion. We tried their egg foo young, an Indonesian beef dish and the fish cakes in banana leaves, they were all ok. It's nice to have an Indonesian place nearby instead of all Chinese and Japanese.
