Visited my friend who introduced me to matcha years ago. Seeing a lot of new hype around matcha and some places don't do it justice... however, Rhythm Zero really knows how to provide a delicious matcha beverage. I'm more into sweeter matcha lattes (aficionados don't come for me) & really enjoyed the blueberry puree matcha latte with oat milk. The matcha was still very decadent and not too overwhelming. I would like to see a little more matcha to milk ratio but I was already on my second matcha of the day so I had no complaints! This on a warm summer day really helped me get through all the NYC walking. The baristas were super nice and had a nice candle from the candle shop next door! read more

I got the seasonal matcha they had (blackberry pie matcha latte) and the taste was not very good for almost $10 a cup. I did not like the aftertaste and the syrup (maybe it was the pie syrup ?) tasted very artificial - I threw out most of my drink. My friend got the matcha americano and it tasted like nothing. I had high expectations but we were both pretty disappointed in terms of the taste and quality of the drinks here. read more

After trying it, I think I'll stick to strawberry matcha lattes instead. This place is totally worth the hype! The blackberry pie matcha really does taste like eating a flaky blackberry pie - insane. I got it half/less sweet with skim milk and it was amazing! Probably would also be good with oat milk. If one drink wasn't $8 plus tax and tip, I would probably return more often than a special, once in a while treat. Staff was also really kind and when they made someone's latte iced instead of hot they immediately remade it! read more

Rhythm Zero is a growing chain of matcha cafés in NYC, with this particular location set in the West Village. The service experience was a bit hectic. The line was long, seating was minimal, and the staff seemed overwhelmed by the volume of orders. There also wasn't an organized way to announce drinks, so ours ended up sitting out for a while before we realized it was ready. We ordered the blueberry matcha, which was decent overall. The flavor wasn't too watery and the matcha base came through, though the blueberry syrup leaned a bit too sweet. Stopped by Rhythm Zero on a weekend morning and ordered a matcha tea, which was really good, smooth and well-balanced. However, it took about 15 minutes to get my drink. The barista was working alone, which made things understandably slow. It's a nice spot with quality drinks, but they definitely need more staff during busy hours to keep things moving. read more

Wow. What a all-around wonderful experience. Sam helped us at the front and couldn't have been nicer. I had a lot of modifications and questions since I have never been and he was so sweet to answer them all and give such great recommendations between the group. We got an ice blueberry Matcha, which was very delicious. The blueberry wasn't too overpowering where you could still get a taste which sometimes I feel like with fruit flavor added, and you don't taste much at all so I really enjoyed that The regular iced Matcha latte was also delicious. The coconut Americano was fantastic. It was coconut water with an espresso shot on top, but they frost the espresso shop and it was phenomenal. The flavor and texture of that was incredible! They have limited seating inside, but we got lucky and got a table for sure we'll be back!! read more

didn't love this place. the line was quite long and the space was quite small. my friend and i both ordered the same item (blueberry matcha) but the amount of blueberry and amount of matcha was inconsistent across drinks. mine did not have enough matcha (could barely taste it) or blueberry, and also had too much ice (despite asking for less ice). i did love the blueberry flavor though. the matcha also had a few powdery chunks in it. read more

Beautiful interior design. Small café located inside the Bandit running store. Not a large menu, but everything looked really good and as a matcha enthusiast I can confirm that the blueberry matcha latte really hit. Strong taste of both natural blueberry + matcha, which is not something that can be said for all fruity matchas. I thought it was hilarious that you're not supposed to use your phones/computers while sitting at their tables, so I guess keep that in mind--this is definitely not a place to do work. I read a book for a while here but it also didn't really feel like a place to sit and lounge around despite the nice interior (maybe it was too nice to feel comforting lol). A grab and go spot, but still really good and would definitely recommend to matcha lovers. read more

Nestled inside of a joint store with Bandit Running. Super quiet but not on a weird level. Not a ton of seating but extremely modern inside. The Cappucino had a good balance of milk to espresso with the espresso flavor shining through. The Coconut Americana is something I would 100% get addicted to. The mix of the coconut water with the frothed espresso was an amazing combo. You still got that slight sweetness from the natural sugar in the coconut while being extremely light feeling in the stomach. A perfect summer/spring drink! I absolutely love this cafe!!! It's very minimalistic and clean, so it's perfect to get aesthetic cafe pictures. I heard about their coconut americano and I was fascinated by how it came out. Surprisingly, it tasted actually pretty good. For some reason, it took a while for the drinks to come out (maybe around ~15-20 minutes) and the workers felt bad, so they gifted us a truffle brownie for free! Thanks to bri j for their tone deaf reply. If you work in the coffee biz and don't know what a venti is, you're in the wrong biz. It was an obvious comparison to Starbucks size and pricing of which you are overpriced, but if I have to explain it... Coffee shops in low traffic areas do close early, but the famous Bleecker St destination isn't one of those, and do you close the attached clothing store too? Coffee and clothes? Perhaps stick to doing one of those well and affordable, rather than wasting our time defending your misguided position on a platform for free speech for consumers to share their reviews with like-minded customers. I went to the Brooklyn location and absolutely loved the Pear Brown Sugar Matcha Latte. If you're looking for a matcha latte in NYC with the creaminess of the ones in Japan, that's your place. I was interested in trying the espresso/coffee drinks here as well but was disappointed when the Pear Brown Sugar Latte didn't stand out to me as much as the matcha latte. Still, the latte was good. The space wasn't as cozy as the Brooklyn location and all its gallery-like nice decor, but it wasn't too busy mid-day on a weekday and I saw someone working on their laptop. read more

Was super excited to try this cute cafe as Don rated this place a 8.9, but was sadly disappointed. From the bland and milky matcha to the rude cashier, Rhythm Zero did not impress me at all. The interior design and layout was clean and unique, and the seating as well, but it came down to the coffee. We got the vanilla latte and matcha latte. The vanilla was good but not something I would get out of my way to get again. The matcha was made with too much milk and the powder itself had no strong flavor of matcha. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

I walked around looking at everything, the music very loud and hard for people sitting to have conversations, the place is very colorful and with many PR sayings, however the place also feels very Americanized with the music and layout. I still awaited my name to be called minutes later, but nothing. I approached the cashier, who was just standing there, to ask about my coffee and she wasn't able to tell me so she asked the barista steps away from her. He pointed to a cofre sitting on their counter, it had my name, and when I pointed out that I was waiting for my name to be called, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled like she didn't care. The coffee by now was not all that hot, I never tasted any rum or coquito flavor and felt I wasted my time at this place. What's more upsetting is that I left a nice tip for a service that was not provided. They couldn't even bring the coffee ti my table once they realized it was sitting there and they forgot to call my name. You can find better service elsewhere.

I really wanted to like Rhythm Zero Matcha, but unfortunately it just didn't live up to the hype for me. I waited in line outside, which I didn't mind since I assumed the drinks would be worth it. The space is beautiful, the service was friendly, and everything looked great aesthetically. The staff was kind and the overall experience felt thoughtfully curated. What disappointed me was the matcha itself. I was especially surprised because they advertise using Kettl matcha, which I know is a high-quality brand. Unfortunately, my drink tasted almost entirely like milk. There wasn't much matcha flavor, sweetness, or complexity coming through, and it ended up tasting very flat. It looked pretty, but flavor-wise it just didn't deliver. I kept hoping it would grow on me, but I honestly didn't even finish the drink, which is rare for me. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but for the wait and the price, I expected something much more memorable. The service and atmosphere were great, and I appreciate the effort put into the space, but I left wishing the quality of the drink matched the experience. It was just the best matcha experience I've ever had. I had the Blackberry Pie Matcha Latte w/ oat milk + a shot of vanilla on the side because I like lattes to be pretty sweet. The matcha that they use is of amazing quality. I'm also impressed by the creativity of the flavor "Blackberry Pie." The service is quick, but the latte doesn't taste rushed.
