So obviously I stopped at Rhythm Zero while shopping around the West Village on a Monday morning. There was no line! I have seen this all over my social media. I went with the Yuzu Matcha. I enjoyed it. It was nice and acidic from the yuzu. I was not in the mood for anything that tasted like dessert but now I'm kicking myself for not getting the blackberry pie matcha. Next time!

Cute matcha spot with a decent amount of options on the menu. There's usually a line on weekends but if you go during off peak hours on the weekday it's usually emptier inside. There is some seating but not a lot. Matcha was good, standard tasting. Definitely a lot of hype around matcha shops recently so it was interesting to see what the hype was for this spot.

stopped by yesterday with my friend for a well needed fun drink! i've seen their blackberry pie matcha everywhere & really wanted to try it. there was a line but it moved rather quickly which was great - i ordered the blackberry pie matcha with oat milk + the matcha yuzu. the blackberry pie matcha tasted exactly like a blackberry pie/sweet pastry - definitely more of a dessert matcha. i also tried their matcha yuzu and it was refreshing, i wish i tasted more of the matcha and the yuzu part was a bit more sour but they were both decent drinks. would stop by again if i'm ever in the mood for a dessert matcha :)

There's a couple of seating available inside but place was packed on a weekday when I went. They also have a shop next door. I tried their signature blackberry pie matcha and it was very good. Good balance of matcha flavor with the fruit syrup. The blackberry pie syrup is just so unique and it was really good! Taste exactly like it.

This place was one of the busiest coffee stops we visited in New York. We came on a Saturday around 1 PM and the line was already stretching all the way through the shop... and when we sat down for our drinks.. the line was out the door. We waited about 20 minutes to order and another 15 minutes for our drinks. Seating is extremely limited, so we got lucky when a table opened up right as we got our order (seems like a common theme for us thankfully!!) They also have a small clothing shop next door, connected to them but not sure if it's owned by them. We ordered the Coconut Americano, Matcha Yuzu, and an Iced Americano. The Coconut Americano was so so good. It was incredibly smooth and refreshing, with a clean coconut flavor that tasted like actual fresh coconut water rather than the artificial sweetness you get from the coconut juices at the store. The coconut complemented the espresso very well. The Iced Americano was also excellent. Bright, citrusy notes came through clearly, and the coffee was smooth and easy to drink without tasting bitter!! The Matcha Yuzu was the kind of disappointing... I was excited for the yuzu, but honestly couldn't taste much of it. The mint completely dominated the drink, making it taste more like a mint mojito than a matcha yuzu. Would I wait 35 minutes again just for a drink here? Probably not.... But I'd say for its reputation it's worth trying at least once.

The blackberry pie matcha was decadent. I got it with oat milk. The blackberry flavor really comes through and the I love the taste of the "pie". I can also taste the matcha which was pretty rich. The service was fast and good. Nice ambiance. Not too much seating but it's connected ro a clothing store so there's some space to browse while you wait for your drink. Wish the AC was a little stronger tho lol.

Went in on a rainy morning and had no wait. Service was super quick and there are just a couple seating spots in the shop. The matcha was fabulous! Definitely more of a treat than a traditional matcha but tastes ridiculously like an actual slice of blackberry pie, although was not overly sweet. I do think it is worth a try for every matcha enthusiast as it is super unique!

Rhythm Zero 328 Bleecker St. New York, NY 10014 Latte Prior to stirring, the espresso over the milk looks like an abstract work of art. I requested less ice and the drink was not filled to the top, but this is the way to go if you need a caffeinated jump start to your morning. As a bonus, if you are in the market for new attire, this location shares its space with a separately owned clothing store. #WestVillage #WestVillageNYC #rhythmzero #latte

One of the viral matcha spots in WV. On a summer Sunday, the wait was about 30 minutes. For the blackberry pie matcha it was definitely worth the wait. The flavor is indescribable. Perfectly sweet however not overly, high quality matcha. Lines were out the door but once inside, the service was quick. Approx $9 for a matcha, seems pretty standard at the point. Worth the wait if it's less than 15 mins.

Giving this matcha cafe a rating is interesting... On the one hand, it was very difficult to taste virtually ANY matcha flavor in the drink. Usually, the quality of the matcha flavor plays a massive role in what rating I give a matcha place. But this place might actually be the one exception, their blackberry pie syrup was so one-of-a-kind and tasted so genuinely like blackberry pie that it was enough to have me enjoy the drink SO MUCH that I actually somehow didn't mind the lack of matcha flavor that much??? I would say come here if you want a good drink, because it is good (in the same way Taz Matcha in Seattle makes good drinks but not good matcha), but do not come if you are a Matcha purist.

Lovely lil cafe! My partner and I went on my birthday for the e infamous blackberry pie matcha and I was not disappointed! They really were generous with the amount of glaze and the matcha notes was very smooth and delicious. It's a small cafe but the service is very fast and friendly! I will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by on a whim at around 2:30pm on a Tuesday. There was still a bit of a line but it moved quickly and the drink came out fast. I ordered the instagram-famous Blackberry Pie Matcha Latte with dairy milk for $8.71 (alternative milks are +$1.) They use Kettl matcha which I buy for myself. The color is pretty good but looks like the powder may have oxidized a bit. They may be pre-whisking since the service is so fast. The early sips with the full blackberry pie experience were the best, towards the end it was mostly a smooth but maybe a bit watered down matcha flavor with occasional tart blackberry. I didn't ask how many grams they use but I didn't feel much of a boost. I wouldn't go out of my way and for a fancy drink I think I'd rather hit the Matchaful nearby, but I didn't feel like i'd paid for a cup full of slightly green milk. I think the ideal audience for this would be someone who would otherwise be going to Blank Street because you'll get a trendy flavor but a much better matcha. For the real matcha snobs it's probably a one off. For me, the specialty matcha options are plentiful in the city and there are too many to try to swing back around here (though a blueberry pie... maybe that could tempt me.)

When we got there, although there was a line, it looked like it was moving fairly quick! Still, our order was ready for us at the pick-up station so we walked in and found a corner spot. It's pretty snug inside, and although there are a few tables and some standing areas, most people got their food and left. There are also some tables outside if you're lucky to snag one! - FOOD - Salmon on Everything Bagel: Nicely toasted bagel, yet still has a nice chew on the inside. Huge portion of Salmon! The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. While it was a fun and unique drink, I probably should have opted for something else. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

It happened to be 787 Coffee which I have visited plenty of times on the island and enjoy. With excitement and in Spanish I tell the cashier that I was happy to come across this place as I have tried them out in PR. How is it that this "jibara" apparently from Maricao, spoke to me in broken English while I am talking to her in our native language, total fail. Anyhow, I ordered the coquito hot latte with an extra shot of rum and oat milk, fine, I paid $11 for a very small coffee. Now what I can't believe is that the quesito pastry was $8. I really wanted it but it was not until I paid that I then noticed the price. I sat to eat it while I waited for my name to be called as mentioned by the cashier. I walked around looking at everything, the music very loud and hard for people sitting to have conversations, the place is very colorful and with many PR sayings, however the place also feels very Americanized with the music and layout. I still awaited my name to be called minutes later, but nothing. I approached the cashier, who was just standing there, to ask about my coffee and she wasn't able to tell me so she asked the barista steps away from her. He pointed to a cofre sitting on their counter, it had my name, and when I pointed out that I was waiting for my name to be called, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled like she didn't care. The coffee by now was not all that hot, I never tasted any rum or coquito flavor and felt I wasted my time at this place. What's more upsetting is that I left a nice tip for a service that was not provided. They couldn't even bring the coffee ti my table once they realized it was sitting there and they forgot to call my name. You can find better service elsewhere.
