Alpha Heating & Air - HVAC tech doing repairs inside an Oregon home

Alpha Heating & Air

(8 reviews)

Alpha heating and Air installed a heat pump for us. Couldn't ask for better service. Everyone we…read moredealt with was friendly and professional. Kyle, Logan and David are awesome! Fast and efficient. From getting our quote to installation was less than a week and some of that delay was a weekend and our delays. The whole business worked to get our installation done quickly. Thank you! You now have loyal customers.

I haven't had much good experience w/ most local HVAC techs. Too often they have come out to just…read morecharge me an easy $100 or more and then leave w/out anything done. This is why I waited 3-4 years before calling a pro to take a look at my mini split that has been leaking refrigerant. My handyman has tried & failed to find the issue for years. I would've been so much better off if I had called Alpha sooner. If I would've called them the first time I had an issue I would've saved hundreds of dollars. Jason, from Alpha came out today & looked at my ductless heat pump. He brought out his handy (& expensive) leak detector and quickly zeroed in on the leak, which was around the outside connection point. He just needed to tighten it and add more refrigerant. The leak detector verified the issue was remedied. He also took a quick look inside my other heat pump before leaving, to make sure that a common grounding defect of that make was fixed, it was. It's so rare & so refreshing to have a real pro that knows his trade so well. I will certainly call Alpha Heating the next time I have an issue!

All Weather Heating & Air Conditioning

All Weather Heating & Air Conditioning

All Weather was hired to install a new gas fireplace in our family's home near Sunset Bay. Shortly…read moreafter installation we noticed smoke/soot leaking into the room and staining the walls/mantel. It was clear they had not properly checked/cleared the venting system in the chimney before or after installation. They refused to service/fix it and tried to blame the problem on the house having a central heating system that ran simultaneously. When we followed up one final time they said it wasn't their responsibility because they ended their relationship with the property management firm that helps us with the house. Inexcusable.

We hired All Weather Heating in 2005 to put a Trane Heating/Air conditioning unit in our new home…read more I believe the unit and installation cost approximately $15,000. Since then, they have been out four times to repair it. Three times they didn't charge us to fix the broken parts. The fourth time they charged us $302 to do the necessary repairs. A month later the furnace is broken again. I called their company on Friday and left a message with their answering service. I called Monday and twice on Tuesday. Finally, I called Wednesday and got a response. I feel I receive a call back only because I threatened legal action. When Rick the owner called back he was rude and basically told me that I needed to be thankful that he didn't charge me the last three times for his service and repair of the broken parts of the unit. He didn't appreciate me threatening legal action. I asked him what he would do, if he spent $15,000 less than seven years ago on a furnace that continued to break and has no heat in his home for over five days. He said, "He was relying on his repair guy to follow up." He was also upset that I didn't purchase another unit from him three years ago. I told him that I put it out to bid and he was not the cheapest bid and that is what I went with. I've since cancelled my appointment with his company and asked Chamber Heating and Plumbing to come to evaluate my heating unit. They have put me to the top of the list and assured me that if my furnace is defective they will help me work with the company to get the necessary repairs. All Rick told me was his labor was only guaranteed for one year and parts for five. I asked Rick I thought it was warranted for 10 years and he asked me if I submitted the warranty paper work. I hate to say this, but I will not recommend All Weather Heating for any type of work.
