Misty followed through and in fact, did call recently to make sure our system is working. Thanks for that Misty... and as promised, if we actually had heat without having to have more service this fall, I said I'd give you that last star. What I am still not impressed with is the cost of running a heat pump by comparison. We chose this avenue when we changed out our old furnace, believing it was going to be very economical to operate. WHOA... shows what we get for believing what we're told. It is really NOT less expensive, though there are many benefits to having a heat pump over oil. If you choose a heat pump, please be informed that in addition to the cost of operation, it's recommended you "service" your system once a year and replace the filter. So, add another couple hundred on to your heating costs... just for the pride of ownership. Pacific Air Comfort is definitely trying to improve customer service and follow up with people until they're satisfied. Since even THAT is such a rarity in today's society (and in business) I do say "Hat's Off to Misty" for her followthrough. Impressive. Thank you Misty for caring about our situation and sticking with it until we have what we paid for. REALLY appreciate it.

This is why I waited 3-4 years before calling a pro to take a look at my mini split that has been leaking refrigerant. My handyman has tried & failed to find the issue for years. I would've been so much better off if I had called Alpha sooner. If I would've called them the first time I had an issue I would've saved hundreds of dollars. Jason, from Alpha came out today & looked at my ductless heat pump. He brought out his handy (& expensive) leak detector and quickly zeroed in on the leak, which was around the outside connection point. He just needed to tighten it and add more refrigerant. The leak detector verified the issue was remedied. He also took a quick look inside my other heat pump before leaving, to make sure that a common grounding defect of that make was fixed, it was. It's so rare & so refreshing to have a real pro that knows his trade so well. I will certainly call Alpha Heating the next time I have an issue!

In a few minutes Brandon called to explain that he'd made an error and sent the credit forms to the wrong power supplier. He sent me the right forms in less than an hour, and as soon as I returned them, he sent them on to Coos-Curry. And two weeks ago, when I checked their website, I saw a credit large enough to cover the next four or five months bill. So here's the thing: Brandon checked his files as soon as I asked a question. He found an error, told me about it, and fixed it immediately. That's five star service! If we ever need HVAC again, I know who I'm calling.

I am very happy with the job they did and the technicians have been very knowledgeable and very nice. I would be happy to have them back. And, I signed up for the twice a year service for more entailed service at a great price.

They didn't tell us we would be required to have yearly inspections, but when we found out a year later, we did it. It was costly. The following year, since their yearly inspection and maintenance costs were so expensive, we specifically asked them if it would hurt our warranty if we went somewhere else for our maintenance that had to be kept up once a year in order to maintain the warranty. They assured us it would be fine to get it maintained elsewhere, that it won't affect our warranty at all. What they didn't tell us was as soon as we did that, our life-time guaranty with them -- with Addcox -- was considered void. We found out just now, after 3 1/2 years, that, "Oh, well, your units are no longer guaranteed with us because you went somewhere else for your yearly inspection and maintenance." Wow. Really? How convenient for them. They should have been upfront. I feel I was lied to.

It was clear they had not properly checked/cleared the venting system in the chimney before or after installation. They refused to service/fix it and tried to blame the problem on the house having a central heating system that ran simultaneously. Since then, they have been out four times to repair it. Three times they didn't charge us to fix the broken parts. The fourth time they charged us $302 to do the necessary repairs. A month later the furnace is broken again. I called their company on Friday and left a message with their answering service. I called Monday and twice on Tuesday. Finally, I called Wednesday and got a response. I feel I receive a call back only because I threatened legal action. When Rick the owner called back he was rude and basically told me that I needed to be thankful that he didn't charge me the last three times for his service and repair of the broken parts of the unit. He didn't appreciate me threatening legal action. I asked him what he would do, if he spent $15,000 less than seven years ago on a furnace that continued to break and has no heat in his home for over five days. He said, "He was relying on his repair guy to follow up." He was also upset that I didn't purchase another unit from him three years ago. I told him that I put it out to bid and he was not the cheapest bid and that is what I went with. I've since cancelled my appointment with his company and asked Chamber Heating and Plumbing to come to evaluate my heating unit. They have put me to the top of the list and assured me that if my furnace is defective they will help me work with the company to get the necessary repairs. All Rick told me was his labor was only guaranteed for one year and parts for five. I asked Rick I thought it was warranted for 10 years and he asked me if I submitted the warranty paper work. I hate to say this, but I will not recommend All Weather Heating for any type of work.
