Visiting my mom in Coos Bay. Second space heater tripped the circuit but it wouldn't come back on. Three nights with no heat from Christmas Eve. Called couple days after Christmas and they took my info but said they'd try to get someone out by the time I flew out in January because of the holidays. It just depended on the scheduler. They called back within an hour to say "someone could come now." Great! Grady came by and fixed the circuit for lights and outlets in our bedroom and bathroom right away. Aside from the numerous problems we had (failing to pull permit until night before inspection, pulling wrong permit and having whole job not pass inspection - they pulled a permit for a dishwasher circuit when it was a whole house remodel AND THEN never did the dishwasher circuit) owner Brandy is rude, difficult, unprofessional, unethical and unorganized. While I'm happy that other's have had such great luck with Kyle Electric, my experience hasn't been so charmed. I did try to work this out with them prior to posting my review, by the way. I hired them to install a bathroom fan in my very old house. Then I waited months while they did nothing. Finally, they got over there. They drilled two holes, found out it was constructed with 2" thick planks and stopped all work, while deciding how to install the fan. Then i waited for a couple more months again. They were supposed to meet with my contractor, but that didn't happen. The bill I received for this bit of handy work? $280--$180 for labor for the two test holes they made and $100 for a bathroom fan that I do not have! Supposedly, if I pay the $180, they'll give me a new estimate. Well, I paid the $180, which is excessively expensive for two small circles. (My son lives there with room mates and said they were only there a short time). As far as the $100 for the fan, I'm not in the habit of paying for things I don't actually have in my possession. They did install a very nice living room heater and redid some of the electrical in a very timely manner, so I would give them a thumbs-up on that work, although, once again, I thought their charges were high. Then again, this is Coos Bay/North Bend, where you expect to be over-charged for any reputable work you ever get done. read more

My experience with Kyle electric was not good. work preformed was installing light switches and outlets- I supplied specialty plugs for the worker to install one in each room- wasn't done- we had the back half of the house with no power couldn't figure out the issue? spent hours trying to figure it out. plugs and switches were put in crooked so plates after we had texture and paint done didn't fit? have no idea why he couldn't tell they were not level? had a gfi installed in a room that doesn't need one and one not installed in our wash room- called the company and spoke to a lady named Brandy who was rude and asked me to pay my bill only having received it 2 days before- spoke to a man named nic asked if he could come back out and fix the issues and was told they would not unless they came out to do more work- why would i want to have more work done when the the work i had done was sloppy and unprofessional and i do believe that is called extortion. do not do business with this unprofessional company you will regret it. read more

The woman on the phone was extremely rude and unwilling to work with us in resolving issues with their service. She was very unpleasant hard to keep in touch with, left us in the blank, but the amount they charge is unequal to the service (especially the customer service) decent to any business. I was out of town in California when neighbors and my niece noticed my garage door acting possessed. Then, my niece saw smoke coming out of the box. I frantically called Kyle Electric after hours, and Ben was at my house within 20 minutes. He disconnected the defective opener and checked diligently to ensure there was no fire threat from the wiring. He told me not to worry and that they'd bill me, assuring me the charge would be small. I can't even tell you how relieving it was to get such a quick and concerned response...not to mention the professional reassurance. I am trying to settle my uncle's estate here in California, so this meant the world to me in my already-way-too-stressed-out state. I am so grateful! read more
