Beer wasn't the absolute best. It was just beer and they were packed. I do want to give it a try again, next time I am in town because it has a lot of potential.

We love Rhingeist Brewery in OTR! A giant open space that has a rooftop option for nice days. Kid friendly and you can order food into the brewery. There are games (bocce, cornhole) for kids or adults. Super cute merch as well!

Updating my review from a previous visit from a few years ago - holidays at Rhinegeist are so much fun! We had a great visit, and checking out the special holiday beers. Going for football Sunday was also fun, and it's a great space for gathering, families, friends, couples, and more. Service is great, but only limited to one bar. Food options are limited, but for a few beverages, you cannot go wrong with Rhinegeist while in Cincinnati.

This brewery is spacious, easy to find and has a great selection on tap! They have a rooftop deck, which is perfect between April and October in the nicer weather. It's great for a date, birthday party dinner or even a large convention of 150+ people. I love the dark stout ink, but there are plenty of other lighter beers to choose from.

We've been here a number of times. It's a really cool brewery and is always a must stop for us any time we go through Cincinnati.

Such an awesome spot! I'm from San Diego where our craft brew scene is huge but I was absolutely floored by this place! First of all the space was HUGE with all kinds of areas to hang around (can't miss that rooftop!). All the beers we tried were delicious (and there were so many options!) with friendly beertenders!

I'm from Indianapolis but love to stop in for some games and a beer when I am in town. My brother took me here to start my bachelor party as a meet up spot and everyone seemed to have a great time and the rooftop is awesome!

What a massive beer hall, the staff were very welcoming and the beer was very good. I got the chocolate stout and it was excellent

My lady and I have been to Rhinegeist a few times and always enjoyed it. Great beer, great staff, and the place itself is very cool. When we heard about a plant swap event coming, it gave us a great excuse to go again, and we enjoyed it too. They had plant vendors and other vendors all over the place. They had food vendors there as well and we loved The Empenada Box so much we bought one of every empenada they offered. Of course, the brews were pouring, as well as specialty cocktails made for the plant swap. I really like that they do so many special events like this and do many more. Even if an event isn't going on, the place is great to visit for some epic brews. There are plenty of bars all over the place to get a pint or two. Definitely check out the rooftop bar. Don't worry about seating because this brewery is big enough to accommodate LARGE parties and still have room for more. Even if you don't drink, they have something for you with lots of nonalcoholic options. I think my lady and I should visit more often.

Really good IPAs, Truth IPA was my favorite. Large, very spacious brewery, lots of tables. Sucks they don't have a kitchen but do have some not so good pretzels and pizza.

I love Rhinegeist beers and it was fun to visit their taproom in the heart of a historic Cincinnati brewing district. They had a great selection of special beers to try in pints or flights, including imperial and blood orange varieties of Bubbles, ciders, sours, and more. There is a ton of space and seating and even areas to play beanbags. There were families hanging out with kids on the picnic tables. Food options were mostly snacks like soft pretzels and a pizza vending machine (?! I want to see this in action). I'd love to come back in the summer and try the rooftop.

Ask the Community - Rhinegeist Brewery

Do they have dart boards? (Real ones, not that plastic tip crap)

We do not (yes, this is late... sorry!). We've got ping-pong tables, cornhole, rings and other games for special events.

Has anyone had a wedding since the pandemic and were you happy with the way it turned out with all the safety guidelines?

It was different, but I think they handled it really well, food and drinks served at your table, dance floor 10 ppl to a group, catered food buffet done by table , and two separate aisles (one for bride and groom side) during wedding . Spacious .… Read more

Do they sell liquor as well?

Hi Brett, we do not sell liquor.

Is it kid friendly?

Absolutely, they have ping pong, corn hole and esp on weekends there will be kids running around. I don;t think they can access the rooftop though

Are children over the age of 18 allowed to drink with their parents there?

Hi Ariana! Nope, we only serve alcohol to taproom visitors ages 21 and over.

Do they allow dogs?

They do not allow dogs.

Do they serve wine?

Yes, they carry a few wines

Are those under 21 permitted in the brewery?

Yes, but not to the upstairs portion.

Do the serve food?

Great question. Conveniently located in the taproom, the Sartre Carte offers burgers, fries, grilled cheese, fresh pretzels, cured meats, brasserie-inspired sandwiches,… Read more

We got a cozy nook to sit in and enjoy our beer. I had the Cuppa, which I should have started slower. It was like a fine dessert cocktail and winding down your night. The hard root beer in a can was the way to go, luckily my friend shared! Definitely plan on coming back to take my time and try more beers !

I don't know that there's any way to know this, but they were closed to the public for a private party until 4:00. Not a big deal. We grabbed a tea around the corner and returned after the party ended. This place is great! What a fabulous selection of brews. Even more extraordinary was the massive selection of alcohol free beers. I've never seen anything like it. Though the partiers lingered a bit, we were able to snatch a comfy table for two by the window. It's the perfect spot for two. Unfortunately I don't recall what I ordered, though I'd remember it if I saw it. Mark had a AF beer and he really enjoyed it. I tasted it and it was delightfully unique. The selection of beer to purchase and take away was huge. I intended to return after dinner, but it was cold and I was too ready to go home. The gentleman running the place was super helpful even though he was managing the party and the remaining party guests as they cashed out with drinks to go. We will most definitely return!

To start this place is a "sit down" but you have to order at the bar and they bring it to you. We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.

The chicken sandwich was juice and unique with flavors. It surprisingly has kick to it. The Brussel spouts were chard to perfection. Love the staff and how friendly and accommodating they are.
