We drove into Savanah for one night and had brunch here before continuing our road trip and the food was delicious. The restaurant had a very clean chic vibe, fancy but also cool and casual. The bathroom was exceptionally clean the service was great! Would highly recommend. read more

What a great experience. It was technically brunch and it wasn't on our 'list', but we were tired and sometimes you just have to wing it. Got the fish sandwich and wife got the Caesar, both were tasty. Kids loved their fingers and fries. The highlight was the ambience and service-- quiet and friendly away from the hustle and bustle. Ask for Lilian for honesty and attentiveness.Technically part of the Marriott, though it had its own distinct feel. Bathrooms were impeccably cleaned. This is a must do if you need chill quiet and good food off the beaten path. Oh, and water was served sans ice, which means I actually drank it. read more

Food was great, service great, ambiance great. What else can you ask for? Avocado toast that wasn't very skimpy, asking for an extra egg was easy- which it should be, I don't typically eat the bread. Served was server was attentive without being intrusive. read more

What a wonderful elegant restaurant! The inside was gorgeous & staff were very friendly. We stopped in for breakfast without a reservation (silly us), but they thankfully had a perfect table. We had brunch and the wait was rather long, but there's a nice bit of tourism to do around the area especially across the street at the Marriott lobby. I saw the pictures of the coddled eggs on Yelp and I really wanted to try them, and was quite disappointed when we got there and the menu had been revised for kovid to much less. No coddled eggs. We trying to ask for a few things to be added in and substituted, this was a bit of a negotiation. The hostess treated us especially well, and all hostages were returned. (I accidentally disappeared with their knife attached to my magnet closure on my purse! Oops!) Social distancing was good. Sausages were excellent. read more

Ok, I'll be honest: the reason why it took me so long to complete this review was because I was searching for the receipt when I returned from Savannah so that I can properly give credit due to our wonderful server, because y'all know by now I am very absent minded when it comes to names but not faces. Just ask any of the Elites, I had to ask for their names a few times when I first met them! LOL ok sorry I'm side-tracking (another bad habit). But our group had a wonderful, young African-American lady as our server and she did such a fantastic job taking care of our group of seven people. Even though I'm typing up this review a month after our visit, the experience at Rhett was so wonderful that it was one of the memories that really stuck with me for our weekend trip to Savannah. We came to Rhett for brunch since it was a short walk from our hot do and after consulting trusty old Yelp. Everyone ordered different things from the brunch menu so that we all can have a taste LOL. My mother and I decided to order the mussels and requested if we can have two empty plates to come with it since we are sharing. But our server went above and beyond and actually had our order split so that we each have our own serving, and seriously it looked like two orders! All for the price of one order, now do you see why I want to give credit where it's due? I decided to get the espresso martini (yes for brunch and I was on VAYCAY! LOL) and it was delicious. Not too sweet like other places I've had this martini at, and it was strong too. Woo! What a way to wake up and at the same time feel a bit tipsy haha. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dishes and food was so good and filling that we spent the next hour or two just walking along River Street to burn it all off. I'm coming back to Rhett the next time I'm in Savannah again, and I hope to find out our server's name so I can let the management of Rhett know what a fantastic employee they have there. I hope my rave of her in my review somehow reached them. Just hoping. Lol. read more

I had to come to Savannah for work and I stayed in the Alina hotel. This is the restaurant associated with it. It was dark in this restaurant but that was fine, most people there were singles and likely staying at the hotel too, after all it is a Monday night. The food is pretty good. I liked the fries. There is a big array of beers, some are local. We did not have any alcohol tonight but overall a nice place. The wait staff is good and they are pretty quick in delivering the food, so all is good! read more

The Design of this place was by sharp shooter, a perfectionist; no little flaw passed this design team. Their interpretations of a warm industrial vision is a wow in this historic building. If that wasnt just enough to come in for the service was also top notch. The open kitchen effect brings a feel of approachability. The brunch menu was one of the best I have seen. Down home cooking with touches of flair as It was not just a order of fruit ..it was a presentation of fruit. I appreciate this place for the total concept they have and fully recommend it to all ages and taste. read more

Went to Rhett last evening. My wife and I were impressed. The restaurant has a dark low key vibe. We were seated promptly at a window table for two. We had the calamari appetizer which was enough for two. It was excellent with mostly tender rings and few tentacles. The sauce was excellent and just a little spicy. My wife had their famous smashburger which was two patties cheese pickles and a slow sauce on a sweet brioche bun. It was juicy and flavorful. The side was truffle fries which tasted great crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I had the chioppino which was full of clams mussels squid and scallops along with fresh corn and andouille sausage in a slightly spicy tomato broth. Two slices of sourdough bread was served with it The ambience was fun and loud but we could still talk across the table. Service was good but a little lacking in attentiveness. I would gladly eat here again read more

Upscale but casual dining/brunch spot. It felt clean and classy when entering. For me, it was too plain of a menu. No complaints on the food quality as far as eating. The price was a bit steep for the plainer selections. You are paying for ambience and location. read more

Absolutely a beautiful atmosphere. It's located on the ground floor of The Alida and the entire building has been designed in a modern wood accented way. The food was hands down the best breakfast I have ever had. I ordered the "Two Eggs Your Way" which came with eggs (cooked to your preference), choice of bread, breakfast meat, and breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside, but still soft on the inside with immaculate flavor. Eggs were light and airy, sausage cooked to perfection, and bread buttered ever so slightly. If you're looking for a breakfast place in the area you have to try it. Side note: We all know how easily paper straws come apart in drinks, but the ones at this restaurant stayed in tact the whole 30-45 minutes we were sitting there. Good for the environment and stress free! read more

Amazing food! Service was amazing as well. Adrian was our waiter and he was terrific and attentive. We will be back

My favorite restaurant to date as a foodie! The Rhett is beautifully designed for conversation with a big parties, but also can morph into a cozy lounge feel. I love how the attention to detail in design allows you to see the staff at work creating your special dishes. We ordered cheddar drop biscuits, she crab soup, Lobster Scampi & braised short ribs. Service was quick & efficient. Our food was delivered by several staff. The biscuits were absolutely delicious, fluffy & buttery. It was such a great flavor combo added with the glaze & ham. At first glance the she crab soup looked like it was straight out of a magazine- almost too good to eat. Again, the flavor combo of the broth, crabmeat & the saltiness of the smelt roe was chef's kiss. I kept asking myself could this get any better?! When the main courses arrived & we tasted them we could believe it. The lobster was cooked perfectly & went well with the creamy pasta sauce & broccolini. The braised short ribs with the pomegranate sauce, mashed potatoes & Brussel sprouts was a comfort dish in itself! We will no doubt visit again!! I'd give this place 100 stars if I could!! read more

All I can think is this place was fine in a pinch- it was open on Xmas, so that was a plus. The food was very average. Had a decent mushroom toast (a little more cheese than I would've preferred), and a salad, to which I added shrimp- which would've been better grilled than how they cooked it (I'm guessing a quickie sauté). The desert buttermilk pie sounded so great but it was mostly crust with very little filling. Again, edible, and I've had worse, but very average and missed the mark. read more

When looking for a place to eat we stopped in for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by not only the food (the grit bowl was amazing) but it was the service that made the experience so good. This afternoon my husband and I drove in to Savannah for lunch. The Rhett has been a place that we've been wanting to try and YELP has been hinting to us. It keeps showing up as places to eat. To start we took full advantage of the courtesy valet parking. They offer two hours free parking for restaurant customers. It was quick and easy. We walked into the Alida and quickly got confused. We got on the elevator to go down to the restaurant, but it wasn't working. We asked the hotel front desk how to get downstairs and he didn't know, nor did a housekeeper. We kinda just thought we would try to see if we could walk around..and we made it without help. What a journey! We walked into what we thought was a closed restaurant with no customers besides ourselves. The front of the house manager greeted us and sat us. I didn't catch her name but she was pleasant and certainly knew the menu. She offered help with different opinions since the dish we came for is no longer offered. Cuddled Eggs. Service was quick, but we were the only people. Mimosas came super fast as did the biscuits. The menu does read warm biscuits and they were barely warm and the seasonal jam was strawberry. I personal wish they had something seasonal for December. I ordered the Smoked Brisket. The menu reads root vegetable hash, sunny-side egg, leek soubise, and arugula salad. I personally don't like sunny side eggs, so I ordered over-easy. The eggs came sunny-sided. The waitress quickly changed my order, but with us being the only two customers it is a little alarming. My food was great. The leek soubise was beautifully made, so flavorful. While the arugula salad had the perfect oil citrus taste. My husband ordered the Catfish Reuben. The menu mentions horseradish sauce that we could not find. The CATFISH however was cooked perfectly. The pumpernickel bread was toasted just right. The fries were more than enough. The atmosphere is very well thought out with modern industrial decor. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the service was good. There were a few hiccups that could have been avoided. We may be back.. I do want to say Thank You for the 15% off yelp coupon! That was a plus!!! read more

My favorite dinner spot while in Savannah. Ever dish was great across the board. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Scallops and shrimp cooked so well that they were buttery. Their Caesar salad is soo delicious. I loved the croutons and okra in it and really enjoyed the dressing. It's a Caesar dressing that I've never tasted before so I'm pretty sure they make it in house. It was really really great. Add the cheddar biscuits. They are fluffy and light without being dense or heavy. They come with a seasoned butter that I've never seen done anywhere else. read more
