Maybe the usual, when I go to a restaurant, being greeted by someone upon arrival, being greeted by the server in a timely manner, being my drinks in under 10 minutes, having a half way edible meal, check backs from my server, seeing a manager anywhere in sight... Want to feel like you have superpowers? As though you posses the power of invisibility? Then this is the bar for you! Imagine the thrill of sitting at a bar while the bartender stands inches in front but cannot see you. Even the closed menu placed conspicuously before you doesn't reveal that a person ready to order is sitting right in front of him. Likewise, the presence of an empty plate, bearing only a crumpled napkin is invisible and remains uncleared for the longest time. An empty glass? Another mystery to the staff. Well, the food is OK but to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for a grilled pizza and a surf and turf is a deal breaker. The meal was not worth the wait. If it was custom food ordered, I could cut some slack, but this is from a menu and only 50% of the seats were occupied. I suggest you go somewhere that values your time to support their business. I like revolution. It was my third time there. We ordered byo burgers. They were excellent! They show string fries were good too. We had to wait for our wine. Twice. But other than that service was decent. The host was super friendly when I called to make the reservation. I think his name was Ryan. He was even kind enough to turn off that fan for us. It was pretty chilly sitting undet it. I've tried the penne w vodka sauce, jalapeño corn bread and the 1/2 chicken. All were tasty. Overall, it was a good experience. Food was average for me. The hostess barely greeted us as she wasn't upfront when we arrived & didn't say anything when we left. My bf and I ordered the calamari and the rustic pizza. The calamari was okay, I wasn't impressed at all with the pizza. They used some thin pita type like dough that couldn't hold the toppings so the whole piece just fell apart when you picked it up, it was also warm when it arrived to the table & the veggies on it weren't cooked through well enough. We've eaten a L'attitude a few time now, and it's always been quite good. Tonight however rather than a seafood or more elaborate dinner, I simply ordered a burger and fries. They have two or three "specialty" burgers on the menu which look very good, (not the over whelming lists you see a lot of times from places that can't seem to get any of them very good) but I decided on the "Build your own" with a simple Cheddar Cheese burger, onions mushrooms and bacon. This turned out the be the BEST Burger I have had in a very long time. Much better than the "Burger" places around Providence,. and better than just about every pub burger I've had in years. The mushrooms were a smokey grilled portabello sliced, three very delicious crispy slices of slab bacon, and a perfectly cooked HUGE Medium rare burger. The lettuce was good salad greens, the tomato a nice big red ripe slice,. .. and the Fries are excellent too. Add to this my wife's exquisite vegetarian grilled vegetable sandwich, a lovely garden salad and an excellent appetizer of Calamari, perfect quick service from friendly wait staff, and wow, you get a five star dinner. It's amazing how hard it is to find a REALLY GOOD BURGER. Kudos to L'attitude for taking the time to do the little things right! read more

Whenever I venture into pawtuxet village I make sure to stop by this place. The Mr myogi winds are the bomb and the boneless shortribs are really good. Let's get right into it: Positive: 1. Our waitress was very nice. No complaints about service at all. 2. The french onion soup tasted great. Not too salty-- just right. Cons: 1. While the french onion soup tasted great, the bread on top of it was very stale and hard to chew through. 2. The fish and chips were AWFUL. The batter was very chewy and extremely thick. Imagine a double-thick pancake on EACH side of the fish, except that pancake was left in the fridge overnight and soaked in oil. It was just awful. Thick and chewy like dough flavored bubble-gum. At one point I decided to remove the dough and just eat the fish. There was barely any fish inside at all. The filet looked big when I got it, but about 80% of it had to be the batter. When I opened the fish, I had to SCRAPE out the fish because the filet they used was so tiny. The fries were like eating McDonalds fries. Really salty, thin, and just cheap tasting. The coleslaw was also flavorless. Overall, a huge disappointment. Very weird seeing a restaurant sell wine upwards of $200+ right next to buffalo wings and burgers. The food itself was just not good, I don't know what to make of this place. I came here because of a Groupon, but won't be coming back. read more

I enjoyed dining here. I ordered the Classic Calamari and George's Chicken sandwich. The calamari was fried and came along with some banana peppers and black olives it was hot, crispy, and done to perfection. George's chicken sandwich came on two very thick slices of bread which overwhelmed the plate and seemed to overshadow the delicious piece of chicken that was hiding inside. Once i took away the bread and ate the chicken on it's own i was very happy with my selection. The shoe string fries which accompanied my sandwich were hot and crispy much like the calamari. Our server was great and very accomodating.The walls are painted in very dark colors which makes the dining area seem much smaller than it actually is and the decor was not much to look at. If it weren't for the bread debacle and the drab decor i would have given this place 5 stars. Either way i'm definitely returning. read more

This is a reasonable neighborhood place for an informal meal despite the owner's predilection for absurd names for his restaurant. The previous name "L'attitude" didn't work either. The burgers are excellent. My primary complaint is that it is very noisy and this problem has worsened with the recent remodeling. The open plan allows the shouting from the bar to dominate the entire place and the new brick wall along the dining room bounces all sounds back at diners. read more

I bought a Groupon for L'attitude based on the good reviews here. That was a mistake. Both the place and the food are forgettable, and best forgotten. We ordered French onion soup, crispy shrimp cakes, and the steak for two, which included salad and dessert. The soup was not bad, and in retrospect, we should have finished it and left while we were ahead. The shrimp cakes were neither crispy nor made of shrimp: they were fried, rubbery balls of dough. The mesclun mix salad consisted of a plate of greens surrounded by lifeless tomatoes and topped with a piece of white toast, coated with a gooey balsamic vinaigrette that would be at home in a Ruby Tuesday. The steak and the roasted asparagus that came with it were OK, but the potatoes looked like they'd been defrosted and dunked into a fryer. Dessert was mass-produced cheesecake with canned whipped cream on the side. Only desperate businesses now run Groupons, they should just put up a blinking neon "stay away" sign to ward off the unwary. I'd rather pay full price for a good meal than half price for a bad one. read more

My husband and I have been here a few times and its ok. Food and service are decent and the drinks are good. The last time we went my husband had the salmon and he thought it was really good. About 8 months ago, we ate at L'attitude's and had such a mixed experience that we decided not to go back. Recently, we heard they'd made some changes, and with visitors in town we gave it another chance. The food was so good, that we went again later in the week and same thing, AMAZING. Apparently, they have a new chef. Everything that we tried was super tasty. Maybe it's due to the recent addition of Sweet Indulgence, the renovation at Basta's and Felinni's moving in, but L'attitude's has really stepped up their game. The last two times we've ordered the Scallop appetizer, the beat salad, the crab cakes, the chowder, the Margerita pizza and the Broad St Pizza. We would recommend all of them, but am looking forward to discovering the rest of their menu next time. read more

This place is great. The new chef, Brian has continued to do a great job changing the menu to stay in sync with the seasons. It is hard to see my favorites fall off the menu, but it's better knowing I'll have new favorites soon enough. Brian's culinary creativity keeps me from falling into a rut of ordering the same thing over and over again. I have yet to have a bad experience here, me and my girlfriend love this place. We always tend to sit at the bar with Jenn, she's been there since day one and she is wonderful. I always start with the Billy's kicking shrimp which is out of this world. The chicken pesto pizza is another of my favorites runner up to the Bryube(spelling way off) Burger with the shoe string fries. Another great meal today. I stopped in for lunch and had a seat at the bar. Service was good, food was great. I had a veal parm sandwich with a side salad with the best salad dressing I've ever had. Got the same meal a month back and was hoping it was as good. Complete consistency, exactly what I like in a restaurant. I was craving this meal and it paid off. We live in the neighborhood and have been going here on and off for years. The food is usually good (but not great), the decor dated, and the ambiance laid back and friendly. Generally, it's been a reliable neighborhood joint. Today we went and found a new menu, an extra friendly vibe, Dean back in the kitchen, and homemade desserts made by a new pastry chef. Our food was really good - watermelon salad with feta, cupcake meatloaf, and a Salmon BLT. The chocolate bomb dessert was extra special. I'm reserving my judgement for a second visit with the new menu but hope to be bumping it up a star (or two). read more

Have been here many times for food and drinks... they just changed the menu and apparently the chef and it made a huge difference with the food! My group had a surf and turf special (steak and scallops) was amazing. We also had steamers that were possibly the cleanest and sweetest steamers I've ever had! I've been meaning to write this review for awhile...my husband and I met up with a friend for dinner a few months ago. We had been wanting to try it out and were looking forward to it. We got an amazing Brie appetizer and devoured it--it was delicious. Our friend got onion soup and said it was so good, until she fished out a cockroach . There aren't enough good things I can say about this place. The service was friendly and attentive. The decor is appropriate, given the historical ties to the revolutionary era. Being a history teacher, I more than approved of this choice. But the food. Let's talk about the food! Chef Brian came out and helped out with some suggestions for our entrees. One can certainly tell he has mastered his craft by the way he talks about his food. Per his suggestion, I opted for the Beef Short Rib and my Godfather went for the Applewood Smoked Pork Chop. Been here a few times on Sunday"s and enjoyed watching football, drinks, ..I brought a friend there today for lunch and was very disappointed. We sat at the bar and the place was very cold -temperature wise... I myself scanned the place for the thermostat to turn it up ...did mention several times that : It sure is pretty cold in here in front of the server but wasn't acknowledged.... I got the grilled chicken Caesar salad and was never asked how my meal was but the chicken was very rubbery and couldn't finish my meal.. my friend ordered the salmon Blt - he said it was very tasty but very cheap on the salmon and the fries were like shoestring McDonald fries...MIght give this place another try on a Sunday -not sure yet. read more

My husband and I met some friends at Revolution last Saturday night. Great beer and wine selection and such a creative menu. There were so many things I wanted to try. Creative wings etc. I was in the mood for pasta so I had the butternut squash ravioli yum! My husband asked what would be best and the chef and waitress highly recommended the pork chop. It was so so delicious everyone at the table tried it. Yum!! Definitely go in and order it. You will not be disappointed.
