We were approached by another solar company who promised us free solar and a new roof at no cost,…read morewhich sounded too good to be true. After talking with friends we reached out to Valley Solar and they explained that there isn't such a thing as 'free solar and roof replacement'. While I think we knew this it was good to hear from the experts. The team walked us through the federal, state and utility incentives and explain in detail how the technology works. We are so glad to have found an honest local company. We have almost a dozen friends, neighbors and family members that have used Valley Solar and all sang their praises - now we know why!

We made it clear we were hot-to-trot, and ready to spend real money to go to solar. Instead of taking our money, Mike told us that it would not be worth it because of the directions of our roof lines. That was really nice and deserves a call out. Thanks Mike.

Enter Tim from Hometown. I called to request an air conditioning repair, and he squeezed me in between other service appointments that same day! Within minutes, he had the problem (a faulty capacitor) diagnosed, a new part in, and was on his way! The pricing was fair and transparent and amazing for same-day service. I highly recommend going with a local, fully-integrated provider like Tim if you want reliable, efficient, friendly, and accommodating service. Thanks again, Tim!

I wanted to install central AC in a 1950's ranch with a 1970's addition. Hot water baseboard which…read moremeant an expensive option for central air and so the decision was to go with Mini-split/Heat pump. And two types - ducted in main house and wall mount in addition. After several quotes from several providers, Matt at Hometown had not only the most cost-effective quote by a mile, he was more than patient and understanding in dealing with some family issues causing many delays in making the decision to proceed. 2025 changes to regulations meant getting contracts signed by year-end 2024 and once decision made, Matt was extremely prompt in getting all done so that it hit 2024 regs. Work began in early Jan 2025. Matt and his partner Dave were prompt, timely, professional and neat! Workspace always broom swept each day of the 5-day job. When a mid-course correction to installation occurred, Matt was more than accommodating in making the change with no impact on budget. Inspector came today and commented on the quality installation. Matt and Dave took the time to explain what they are doing and answered all questions. Matt handled all regarding application with State and any Federal potential for rebates. These guys provide a quality product, excellent service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend them!

Had some electrical updates done around the house, and the whole process was smooth from start to…read morefinish. Everything was handled efficiently and with clear attention to detail. The communication was excellent -- easy to reach, quick responses, and everything was explained in a way that made sense. The work was completed right on schedule, and the results were clean and professional. One thing I really appreciated was the option for a virtual consult -- it made things move much faster and helped set clear expectations. Definitely felt like I was in good hands. Would absolutely reach out again for future projects.

It is not easy to find a reliable electrician. Much less one that provides free "virtual" estimates…read more(over video conference), fixed price quotes, and fast responses. I also really liked that I could schedule online on Jon's website to make it easier to align my schedule with his availability on my own time. In short, excellent customer service up front and through the whole process start to finish. He might not be the cheapest, and definitely not the most expensive, but it is reasonable and he provides fixed-pricing which he sticks to as long as scope doesn't change. He also pulls all necessary permits and has passed all inspections with flying colors. Jon has now completed two projects for us. About 6 months ago, he installed new bathroom fans in 4 bathrooms and he recently installed an Electric Vehicle charger in our garage (along with a 60 AMP breaker to support it). I received a word-of-mouth recommendation from my neighbors who had Jon perform a much larger project which included significant re-wiring of their entire house, as well as a new breaker panel among other items. Another neighbor had Jon install a bathroom fan as well as some other work. They could not say enough good things about him and they were 100% right. I have nothing but praise for his work quality. I am one of those customers that likes to do a lot of research up front before I buy items for my house. Jon was patient during my bathroom fan researching as well as my EV charger purchasing and provided me his input as-needed. He let me buy my own fans and charger to ensure I got the items that I wanted. Along with all the excellent electrical work that he performed, he also makes sure to check in with the homeowners if there are unexpected decisions that need to be made during his process and he does not push "the expensive option". There were some moments where he had to cut into drywall and he warned me up front that he does not fix drywall (no electrician does). A big bonus goes to his patience, not just with homeowners, but with my kids too. One of my kiddos had a ton of questions and Jon took the time to talk to him and explain how everything worked and some of the fundamentals of electricity (and safety around electricity). Attaching a few photos of the EV Charger. The Bathroom fans just look like bathroom fans (not interesting).

They requested a 1/3 deposit that could not be paid electronically. This should have been my first clue. Then it took a month for the window to arrive. They then scheduled and showed up with a regular window. And they of course ripped out the existing window before checking. So I had to have the wrong window installed and then wait six weeks for the correct panes to arrive. Then spend two weeks going back and forth to schedule a new installation date. Then they flew in and out on the date and I finally had my window. And it took only 10 minutes following the job being finished before someone showed up from the company and demanded payment.
