I was in between a 3 star and 4 star review but I decided to stick with three because I wasn't amazed by my take out experience (I think dine-in could potentially be better). First, the menu is awesome and I love the variety of options, but I was really disappointed they took off the cauliflower tacos because I would've easily ordered those. I ate the Big Boy Burger bowl which is essentially a burger in a bowl. I thought it was really good however I would've appreciated a lot more burger and lettuce as there were about 6 leafs. The cheese also wasn't amazing quality and would be better if it was sprinkled over the whole bowl instead of put into a melted shredded goo ball in the corner. Also too much rice for the amount of toppings in the bowl. My mom ordered the mexicali chicken bowl and said everything was really good quality. She also felt as though there was too much rice for the toppings and wanted more pico de gallo. Overall she said she would order it again. Definitely need to go back to Rev and try again. I would love it if they would highlight their most popular items on their menu so I can better gage of what the crowd favorites are to try for next time! read more

My wife and I were going to the North Shore Music Theater and we always try to find a place in Beverly to have dinner first. (The North Shore's food ain't that great.) We used to go to a great little intimate place closer to downtown called the Wild Horse but that closed. So we found Rev on a Google search. The food here is actually pretty good. (Except my wife couldn't really detect any booze in her sangria). She had chicken marsala with couscous which I tried and which was pretty good. I had steak frites, which was a small (I think) sirloin with fries and brussels sprouts. Also, very good. We topped that off with a (not on the menu) apple crisp with ice cream. Service was fine. So why only three stars? Well, it's mostly due to the ambiance which I would describe as 'sports bar with kids.' It's in an outdoor mall and I was looking out over CVS and places like that. Very noisy, so noisy that I had to repeat my order to the server on almost everything. But hey, if that's your bag, go for it. The food's not bad and the tab was about $100 pre-tip. Probably fine if you have kids or it's guys or gals night out. But for us, I think a place that's quieter and more intimate will fit the bill in the future. read more

My granddaughter gave two thumbs up for chicken fingers, real chicken, juicy and tender. I had the Shaved Sprouts, very tasty. Ben, our server was attentive and the hostess was very engaging with my granddaughter. Overall a pleasant experience. Thank you to Nick and his crew. read more

Absolutely love REV. They always go out of their way to make you feel at home and there's a very laid-back vibe. They've repeatedly bent over backwards to help make accommodations for our group, so it's always been our go-to. Service is always excellent and I've never had a bad meal here! read more

Food, service and atmosphere are always wonderful. Always a nice stop for lunch or dinner

Service was great and I can tell that this is the perfect place for people with allergies. They're very mindful and receptive to making changes since they're their an all scratch kitchen. I enjoyed my burger bowl a lot, though it seemed expensive for what it was. Truffle fries were not good though unfortunately. Overcooked and no flavor. In my opinion truffle fries should be really seasoned and the fries we ordered barely got touched. read more

Local spot that has good food, great service and super people watching. Sit at a table if you're with the family, or enjoy date night vibes at the bar if it's just you and the significant other. Never disappoints! read more

It was my son's birthday 18th birthday and we wanted a place that was as big enough that the 10 boys we invited would have room to enjoy themselves. The manager was a gem (Felipe) and let me come in early on Saturday to decorate. The waiter (Harry) read those boys like a book. The food was excellent, the space was lovely and comfortable. My husband and I had a corner to have our own meal and loved the ambiance and the warmth of the staff! Wonderful. 10 stars!! read more

This was our first time having dinner here. We tried several times before but was not able to get in so maybe plan ahead. This place is simple with a smallish menu but a great sample of pizza, sandwiches, bowls, and pastas. It's a scratch kitchen so every dish is made to order so you can have your meal the way you want it. The waitress told us that their bowls and pasta dishes are house specialties. We ordered the Banh Mi Cauliflower for our starter. We ate everything. The sweet pickled veggies were a great twist to old fashion coleslaw. For dinner I ordered the Mexicali bowl which comes with rice but you can substitute it with salad. It was very good and filling. My husband had the Re-Union CLub sandwich. He liked it and felt that it was the perfect size. He ordered it with a side salad and the salad was good size. He especially loved the fact that the bread was well toasted and not soggy. Service and food came out fast but we did not feel rushed. We actually didn't even order our dinner until we had time to enjoy our starter. We were in and out of there in about hour. Can't wait to got back to try something else. read more

Great service by Kelly and the Mexican Bowl was excellent. Their Pub Cheese is a new thing for me and it's terrific! Looking forward to returning and exploring more of their varied menu... they prepare EVERYTHING from scratch so custom orders are welcome. That's refreshing! read more

Rev is nothing short of amazing. We've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all consistently good. One of the biggest measures of their quality of food is how consistently good their takeout is in addition. IMO, similar neighboring restaurants' quality and consistency dramatically decreases for takeout, but not Rev. I'm addition to the tried and true menu favorites, I also enjoy that they routinely add seasonal menu options as well. Our family favorites are the Nashville chicken sandwich (perfect amount of heat), the burger (my husband's favorite burger anywhere), the chop shop salad (refreshing), the bbq chicken nachos (just yum), and the chicken parm. The pizza is also delish! read more

The food is delicious and the service is excellent! Have been here many times, and the quality is excellent every time. One of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Bang bang shrimp are awesome. Very well executed menu. And the service is friendly, attentive, fast, and always accommodating to any specific requests. Excellent local spot that we love to come back to. read more

Great place to go most anytime in the day--well, from noon on at any rate! Three of us ladies of a certain age, one of us lucky enough to now be living in Beverly, were there this past Saturday (9/2/23) after spending time at Lynch Park soaking up the views of the ocean and all the boats sailing across it. It was my third time and just as good as the previous two. I can't recall what I had the first time, but whatever it was, it made me happy to return for "seconds!" And what I had to eat this 2nd time convinced me to order it again on this 3rd visit: the Baja Shrimp Tacos. Yum, just as good again! My friends enjoyed the fish and chips dinner and the the salmon entree, Athena--no complaints from either of them! We all enjoyed our drinks as well, for me a nice glass of rose, and a watermelon "mocktail" and white whine sangria choices of my companions. And you know what? I'm thinking that the watermelon mocktail could easily morph in to a delightful summer cocktail with some vodka or run! Dessert? Well, I succumbed to the offer of a take-home , in this case who could resist Key Lime Cannoli? But THREE in my container brought to me? My lucky neighbor back home in Arlington got one and the third brought a lift to my dinner on Sunday! Can't quit without saying the service was topnotch on Saturday. She was so attentive and friendly, not forgetting us sitting out on the covered patio. I look forward to visiting my friend Dorothy again in the lovely Beverly and with another great dining experience at the Rev Kitchen and Bar included! read more

We are new to town and stumbled upon Rev. My 6 year old daughter has an extensive list of food allergies, so we've never been confident enough to let her order from a restaurant. The risk just felt too high. We always had to pack and bring a meal for her - which is both annoying and awkward to explain. A neighbor recommended Rev, specifically noting that they seem very allergy friendly. With low expectations, I emailed the owner, Nick, and explained our situation. Nick immediately replied to me, addressing my concerns - offering options for what my daughter could order given her allergy list, and also items to avoid due to cross-contamination issues. He also introduced me to the GM and Chef and assured me that if we chose to dine at Rev, we could rest assured that all allergy precautions would be taken. They use separate cutting boards, pans and prep materials for allergy customers - which is such an impressive approach to allergy safety in a busy kitchen. Our meal at Rev what phenomenal - both my daughter's "safe" pasta dish and our non-allergy dishes. To see the joy on her face to order "regular restaurant" food is something I'll never forget. Our amazing server KJ also shared that she too has food allergies - to normalize this experience as much as possible. I cannot say enough great things about Rev - whether for allergy sensitive customers, or anyone else. Wonderful service/staff, quick & delicious food and immaculate and warm ambiance. We look forward to being regulars! read more

Went back and they handled the issue phenomenally. Checked with us numerous times, refunded the previous bill and gave a gift card. They also followed up numerous times by email. I would recommend just for their customer service alone. read more

Service was very good, food was average. Fish and chips = too much breading, not crispy enough and fell apart...fries were very good with an insanely huge portion. Grilled chicken sandwich was ok, way too much balsamic glaze. Will try again and have the pizza. Deep fried pizza crust...what?!. Need to try that. read more

This was fantastic. I had chicken Marsala. And my husband had fish and chips . Good atmosphere

Great service, delicious food. Extremely allergy friendly! The perfect pre-show dining experience.

The food was ok. Basic bar type food for the adults. The bowls were average. The kids potions were entirely too small for how much it cost. Our server was great! Very attentive. The ambiance is nice but a bit loud for conversation. I bet the outside is a nice scene if warm enough. read more

Great bowls ! i highly recommend the crispy cauliflower bowl. But anything is amazing really. I've loved everything I've eaten there !

Second time ordering takeout and not coming back. Prices are absurd. Paid $15 for a Caesar salad with chicken. It was an extra $5 for the chicken with a couple scrawny pieces. My salad isn't even the half portion size. Totally ridiculous. read more

Usually pretty good. Lately some days are good and some days not so much. Last time we went we decided we'd take a break for a bit.

Great service, sat outdoors and traffic was a bit noisy, food was delicious, looking forward to trying more things on the menu.

I have never been disappointed with either the food or the service they've always been spot on

First time dining here and it did not disappoint. I don't know if I would've chosen this restaurant on my own but we were given a gift card, so we decided to try it and so glad we did. Our waitress was wonderful and so friendly, she was patient with us while we looked over the menu. I tried the potato chip crusted haddock sandwich it came with fries and I got them spicy and they were amazing. My husband got the chicken Parm sandwich and he said that the chicken was excellent. We will definitely go back we would like to try some other things from the menu. read more

Lunch so good the truffle fries give me the side eye as they approach my seat at the club. "Hey" they whisper into my ear as the loud music drowns out everything else. "My partner and I really liked your vibe" as a single fry points towards a booth in the back corner. A full 9" Buffalo chicken pizza waves back at me. "We were wondering if you wanted to put us in a take home box - we can stuff you now or later, whatever you prefer." I consider the offer for only a few seconds before agreeing. These two are gonna be so good. read more

We came for the first time last night and ordered the Rev burger which was excellent! Juicy and flavorful! The only reason for the 4 stars is the boring shoestring fries.
