My bro and I decided to go on a "retro videogame crawl" over the weekend, and this is one of the places we stopped in at. It's a narrow, long shop making the best use it can out of limited space- prepare to crane your neck to try seeing everything. It's rather disorganized... some stuff is in glass cases, requiring you to ask for assistance (for instance, the basket of SEGA GameGear cartridges was impossible to see what they had without asking), other stuff is higgledy-piggledy on shelving, and nothing makes much sense in terms of separating games from DVDs/VHS from collectible cards from board games from action figures. Mind, some folks might definitely enjoy this kind of experience that feels like digging through a garage sale for unique finds to uncover treasure, so I can't knock it too hard, because there was definitely a lot of cool retro stuff to look at. The employees are... well, disengaged. I think they're tired. Apparently they deal with thefts on a rather regular basis, due to their location close to downtown Austin. When we asked to see GameGear games, we had to wait quite awhile, because one employee stayed behind the counter the whole time, and the other was busy with another customer... then finally when he was done with them, he sat beside us to watch us the entire time. ^_^;; So apparently everyone they don't recognize as a regular gets treated with suspicion. It's just not the best circumstance. This location does have a bathroom! It also has a small area with tables and chairs for customers to play board games (probably during scheduled times). Another thing to know ahead of time is that parking is challenging, since it's just along a major road with no parking lot. Your best bet is to pull in at Torchy's Tacos if there's room. bad customer service and lying about the condition of the cards. i was willing to send proof of pictures of the 2 out of 8 cards i bought but instead, the seller called me a liar. i was asking nicely for a partial refund because they said it's lightly played but i received cards that are heavily played with very visible damages. i believe they are guilty of their own mistake for having a bad quality assurance and not letting me send proof. definitely not worth the money if they are lying about the condition. buy at your own risk! read more

I love local game stores and try to support them whenever I can vs shopping on ebay. Unfortunately, their customer service needs some serious work. Recently I visited the store looking for a specific game, but was also in the market to pickup a few extra items. I asked the owner if they carried the specific game I was looking for. Instead of saying: "Sorry we don't carry that product anymore. Anything else I can help you with?" He choose to laugh at me, treated me like an idiot for asking for such an old game. I get it, not all used games stores will have all the used games. That's why I asked. However, in the past, I had seen the game for sale in this store. So it wasn't unreasonable to ask. Instead of being kind and helpful, the owner offered nothing more than snarky quips and treated the customer like they were an idiot. To add salt to the wound; the owner doesn't wear a face mask; publicly displaying his lack of care about any customers walking into his store. TL:DR the owner doesn't care about customers. I found this place on Apple Maps in my area, I always came in excited to find some old 360 games, I used to come in often. Not anymore, coming in the store what I get when I arrive is service that is far below average, the workers always seem aggressive and annoyed. Extremely unprofessional. If you know what you're looking for you'll be fine, although be wary of the customer service. read more

Please do research prior to buying from here, they do sale fake games and if you are not knowledgeable you can be easily fooled. Now I don't know if there's anything against them being able to do that, but the fact that they are charging vintage prices is what makes it worse. Dude was rude and short. The other dude that was labeling new packs was sitting in front of the glass case with all the Cards displaying. The prices were outrageous as well. Rude, no customer service, and they allow their customers in the back were YELLING f-bombs. read more

Shopping here was a pleasant experience. Yes the items here are more expensive than online but that is the cost of supporting local business. They host weekly yugioh tournaments, and when I came in to pick up cards for my deck the guy working was very helpful to me and found some very good cards as well as giving some good recommendations for booster packs. My only reason for not giving a 5-star review is that when I arrived at the store, the clerk was in the middle of a duel and I had to wait a solid 10-15 minutes before he got up to help me. That was certainly annoying, but I had his full attention after and it gave me more time to check out potential booster packs. Aside from that setback, I highly recommend this store. read more

They sold me an off brand gamecube controller that was brand new and they highly recommended it due to its durability. I plugged it in and didn't work. I've never written a bad review in my entire life but I felt like this was needed... the store had good selection but the staff was NOT helpful. The guy working was nice though but wouldn't let me look at any of the cards behind the case because the owner wasn't there. Very dissapointed in the fact that the owner puts people in charge but they can't help anyone. Almost spent $1000 on at this store but I'll take it to CoreTCG or DOLLY Games on TCGplayer.
