The bathroom was clean as can be and the staff is friendly. I have never had problems talking to anyone there. Vivian was my masseuse for today and she mixed it up between light and medium massage. I found myself at times starting to fall asleep. Since I did not get to shower this morning in order to attend the 5k race, I figured I would try the body shampoo for 20 dallors more. My skin is now so fresh and clean I feel better in my clean clothes. ............................................................................. The only thing that kept this place from getting a five star rating was the missing foot masssge, and the door to my massage room being open by a staff member...and the possibility of others guests seeing me. At Lucky you're covered with a sheet most of the time and they only uncover what they are working on. I like that because it doesn't feel so exposed. Temperature is good, no ceiling fans blowing. The price is reasonable at $70. With the bad economy and high inflation, it's a miracle to even find a place this reasonable. The only annoyance I have, if you can call it that, is that it can get busy and the cell phone vibrates a lot. The music might mess up every once in a while. A polite word of caution: Very little English is understood here. I have never found this to be an issue, and suggest to be clear and upfront with what you want. Liu will take great care of you.

*Part 2 Of 2* 9/22/23…read moreTHE MASSAGE: Since massage is best when nude, this is exactly what I did.  I lay on top of the new sheeting, because  was suspicious about the sheeting underneath the new sheet  laid out. It might have been clean, but I didn't take that chance.  I also do not stick my face in the massge holes.  This is a very good way to get sick.  I think so anyways. Kathryn waited about 4 minutes before knocking on the door before entering.   I wasn't concerned about draping and apparently neither was  Kathryn.   Kathryn started on my neck with a great amount of pressure. She continued this by working on my arms, hands and back.  What really impressed me was the Thai Stretching Kathryn incorporated into my massage.    Kathryn continued with the preliminary massage by stretching the glutes maximus, legs and feet.  When I say stretching, I mean stretching.   It is not for the weak of heart.  When Kathryn was done with the preliminaries, she started back at my neck and shoulders, but with massage oil.  The Massage oil is unscented so have no fear ladies and gentleman.  The massage pressure Kathryn applied to my skin was steady and consistent.    Kathryn continued massaging my arms, neck, back, glutes maximus, legs and feet.    Ordinarily I prefer to have me feet massaged last, but I didn't let Kathryn know this at the time. I will do so the next time I am here with whoever the staff member...no,...massage therapist.     Massaging feet is not always done at massage palors.  Same can be said for face and head massage. This doesn't seem the case for Massage Joy:) The feet, legs and glutes maximus massage were the best part of the massage for me.  Whether on my stomach or back, Kathryn spend more time on those areas because I asked her too.    If there was any tension in the gluteus maximus, legs or feet, Kathryn eliminated this problem. Kathryn finished how she started the massage.  Kathryn did the Thai Stretching again and finished with the massage slaps I have experienced at so many other massage palors. If there is a more professional name for these massage slaps, I can think of it right now.  I don't feel like looking it up right now either. AFTER THE MASSAGE: Kathryn used a hot towel to remove some of...,  no,...a lot of the oil that was applied to my body.  I like to keep some oil on my body, but this time a little to much oil was used. Nevertheless, I think Kathryn (who might be the manager/owner of this establishment) did a fantastic job.  I do feel cleaning the oil off the walls might...will help improve the look of the business.   This is just one room I saw, but it left an impression on me. The bathroom looked neat and orderly; as well, as smelling "so fresh and clean, clean." From what I saw of the layout of the business, the employee hang out spot is straight down the hall from the front desk.  There are 4 massage rooms and the bathroom is on the left hand side past the first massage room on the right. In case I didn't say it,  Massage Joy is located on the second floor in building 241.  Very close to Sugar Spa.  A two minute walk away...if that long. I know I will try this place out at least two more times.  I love Thai Massage incorporated with the Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage. Horrible Experience - Avoid This Place!!…read more I went to Relax Spa through a ClassPass booking for a Swedish massage, and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had. As soon as I walked in, the masseuse immediately tried to upsell me to a deep tissue massage for an additional $15, insisting that the Swedish massage would be too light and not firm enough. Despite my previous experiences with Swedish massages being both firm and gentle, she continued to pressure me into paying more. She even called her manager to upsell the deep tissue service. Reluctantly, I agreed to proceed with the Swedish massage I had initially booked. The massage room itself was dark, dingy, and unwelcoming. Once the massage started, it was clear that she was merely rubbing my back without any real technique or pressure. When I inquired if this was how the entire massage would be, she confirmed it. Frustrated, I agreed to pay the extra $15 for a deep tissue massage. To make matters worse, the massage was repeatedly interrupted. Her manager barged in at least twice, yelling at her in Chinese, which was extremely unprofessional and unsettling. At one point, the masseuse even left the room because she felt hot, only to return a few minutes later. Despite my specific requests to focus on my feet, ankles, upper back, and shoulders, she spent 60 minutes solely on my back. The final straw came when her manager rudely interrupted us again, accusing me of only booking a 60-minute massage and demanding the session end immediately. Even though the masseuse had initially confirmed a 90-minute session, the manager insisted it was my mistake and refused to complete the massage. We argued for 10 minutes, but she was adamant that the session had to stop, leaving my massage unfinished and my pain points untouched. Despite telling her I was an angry customer she didn't do anything to make me feel better but offered free 15 mins for next time. Unfortunately I will never be returning here and would advise you all to steer away. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience 3 week postpartum, but I left feeling furious, frustrated, and more stressed than before. The customer service was atrocious, and the entire experience was far from professional or relaxing. I strongly advise against visiting Relax spa. They clearly do not prioritize their customers' needs or provide the quality of service they advertise. Save your time, money, and stress & find a more reputable and professional establishment.
