What a great massage experience! Have had many massages throughout my life, but Zach has a very good touch and very deep without feeling much pressure. I had found him through Groupon, but I will definitely be visiting him again for other massages. I was able to schedule and book online and then fill out the necessary forms in advance. He was familiar with my medical conditions and medications and took note of those before starting the massage. He was gentle, yet firm, and continued to check with me to make sure the pressure was good and not too much. The office setting is beautiful. You really feel like you are in the woods somewhere away from traffic and any city. Yet his office is close enough to major highways and parkway's to get you both to his office and to your home. I originally found Zach on Yelp after many disappointing massage sessions that was an utter waste of money and did nothing for my knots. But after reading all the positive reviews of Zach, I decided to give his practice a try. He had sent me a text asking if I could come in later because he needed sufficient time to clean - which I was very glad to work around that and am thankful he's taking his/and our health seriously. He gave a tour of his office upon arrival and shows me the air filtration system and multiple fans he had going on in his office. Again, I was impressed with the cleanliness of his office. The massage itself was wonderful, I went in for a pain area in my shoulder, and can finally move my arms again after several weeks of chiropractor visits. Zach worked on my pain areas, and educated me on other muscle groups that contributed to my pain area. This helps me recover and re-focus on what I need to do at home to fully recover. As my former massage therapist is no longer in the area, I went to Yelp to search for assistance in finding a new one in the area with positive reviews (very positive reviews with good reason!) Zach was professional and calming. He walked though what he would be doing and everything about his space. This was by far, the best massage I've had in the last 15 years and I am very picky!! ZG really deserves 10 stars!! He's the best REAL deep tissue sports massage I have found in NoVA in more than 20 years living here. No hyperbole there. I've been seeing Zach for several years and have been remiss in not writing a review sooner - at least partially out of being greedy and not wanting others to fill up the appointment times I like....Anyway, he's the bomb, if you want a seriously great deep tissue massage you won't find anyone better. I routinely beat the s**t out of my muscles in the gym and otherwise and he is absolutely brilliant at loosening those tight spots and getting me through recovery and ready for the next workout quickly. He's not a big dude, but he's got unexpectedly strong hands - I'm 6' ~220lb, and even though he's not nearly my size, he manages to get deep into my muscles and forces them to release. It's common for me to experience a lymphatic drain during or after his massages....for those who know what this means, you get the importance (google it). Additionally, he's easy to schedule, the studio is in a convenient spot in Herndon, and he's hands-down the best value for money massage out there. Especially if you join the VIP club - sooo worth it!! He's very conscious of the "new normal" of COVID-19 and takes appropriate measures to ensure both of our health and safety before, during and after the massage - the studio is cleaned and disinfected between every client, he wears a mask during the massage, everyone washes hands upon entry to the studio, and he's got a UV disinfecting light and multiple fans in the room, and probably more that I'm forgetting. Even before the pandemic, his place was always spotlessly clean. Now he has somehow a space that is clinically disinfected and yet remains fabulously comfortable. I had a massage from Zach and it was one of the best massages I have ever had!! I usually get massages every 3 weeks or so due to an old injury that creates tightness on my legs and back. He helped relieve so much tension and stress that was built up and was able to listen to what I wanted and needed in getting massaged. He was professional, had covid safety measures in place, attentive, and the pressure was just perfect. From the ambiance, the warm towels, the pressure points, and oils he uses you will be in a state of tranquility beyond belief. I went to Zach today as I got a massage gift from my hubby for V-Day! I should say that I had a wonderful experience at his place. The studio is so calm and serene. Zach told me all about the things he do to make sure that the place is COVID / germ free. He is very calm and has super strong hands. Since I work on the computer most of the day, I have stiff neck and back. He worked through my knots and the pressure applied on them was just right! I have been to other places but they seem to be in a hurry as they want to move on to the next client. Zach was relaxed which made me feel relaxed too. Decided to book and appointment with Zach. There is a Covid disclosure that has to be signed prior to the appointment. Zach is adhering to all CDC rules. I had to book a last min appointment because of lower back pain that was killing me that week. I had seen a physical therapist and chiropractor the week before and was still hurting a bit so I figured I would try and see if a massage would help. I am 7 months pregnant and e eye thing hurts. I found ZG therapy on Yelp and Zach responded very quickly and put it in for that same morning. I had the one hour massage and OMG it was AWESOME!!!!! Perfect pressure, perfect ambiance and Zach was very polite and detailed about everything. Place was very clean, and we wore masks the whole time. He worked extra on my lower back and applied some gels, used a machine to help with the pain and voila... I have been pain free since then. I'm at the beach enjoying my 4th of July without pain!!!!!
