I love the way the cosy club enhances the history of the building whilst bringing it up to date. The service was top notch, the waitstaff were attentive yet not overbearing. We were served and seated quickly and offered a supplementary vegan or gluten free menu which I thought was very convenient. There was an excellent variety on the menus and I thought the prices were very worth it as the food and drink was delicious. The music and ambience was lovely. I think the lighting overall was a bit dim for lunchtime but I think it would be perfect for dinner or later in the afternoon. Definitely recommend!

There's two floors to it and most of the seating is covered. The service by workers were all friendly and nice. We ordered with them then paid at the bar. We shared Duck and Orange Pate. It was thick, tasty, and complex but well balanced. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--the mixed leaves were tasty, the chicken crispy, and honestly it was a filling sandwich. I would say I'd like more in between the bread but it did fill me up. You've got plenty of pub options in Burford, but we quite enjoyed our time at The Angel. It's surrounded by rolling Hills and Dells and little rivers running through it. Burford is considered the gateway to the cot walls because it showcases several styles of very old architecture. that's still an excellent condition. But I have to say there is no question that when I got there And it was lunchtime that I selected the angel at Burford to eat the fine food that they serve there. It was a lucky dip that ended in a wonderful meal and a very nice experience thanks to the pub owners. We rocked up around 4pm and were told by a staff member in the parking lot, who kindly offered to take our photo, that they were probably out of roast being it was so late in the day but he would speak to the chef. 20 mins later we had a couple of beverages at a nice table in the lounge overlooking the water and a delicious beef roast dinner with root vegetables, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. We cleaned our plates and followed lunch up with a sweet and tasty slice of homemade carrot cake. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff were ever so friendly and really looked after us.
