Totally enjoyable, sometimes its really busy on a Sunday as they take Christening parties etc so book. Most of the time its really peaceful. I'm new to the area so recently discovered this place, its popular with the locals, as I understand it the pub changed management and was closed for a while hence the fact its not busy all the time. The food is consistently very good, Sunday lunch is awesome (£12), we were there with 18 friends a couple of weeks ago and every meal was great, our friends loved it, even through they had a Christening on plus the restaurant was busy. The have a few good ales behind the bar, the staff are friendly and service good. I can't fault it. plus they have a great playground area for kids, a small pool table in its own room and a large screen in the bar showing sport although the volume is at a level so its non intrusive.
Eat in the bar, or in the restaurant (white table cloths etc) plus its an inn with 19 rooms i believe. Havent seen the accomodation yet. read more
