We we walking along the riverside when we noticed lots of tables with people eating and drinking by the river. We decided to get a table outside and we were warmed by the server about marauding seagulls that dive to steal food from people. Luckily we didn't suffer any attack. The food was good quality, the portions were good and it al tasted great. The prices are also reasonable. On Tuesdays they offer 50% of main courses and special prices on steaks on Wednesdays. Beautiful decor and splendid service. I had a turkey, with stuffing and gravy. I didn't have a choice as I was with a group, company dinner for 15 people and the turkey dinner were ordered for all of us. It was well presented, not at all like an school lunch, but like turkey everywhere, rather bland. No fault of Browns. I was told turkey has long since replaced goose as a Christmas dinner. That's too bad. Some Brits at the table had been having it for so long, they did not even realize turkeys had been imported from America! They did take an order for a Negroni but made it with martini instead of Vermouth but that may be the British way, as it was made that way at another Wocester restaurant that way the next night. Great views of the river and swans. Terrific starters and main courses for lunch and dinner. Enjoyed the charcuterie board with fresh cheeses and meats particularly stuffed pepadew peppers. The crispy five spice duck was delicious. read more

Lovely place, situated perfectly overlooking the river. My partner and I visited two weeks ago on Saturday, but have since been back another two times with friends as we enjoyed it so much. Nice atmosphere, the staff were friendly and very attentive right from the very start. I am vegetarian and there were plenty of dishes on the menu for me to choose from. Very nice wine collection, but I have to particularly recommend the cocktails, two for £10 on a Saturday as well, which I personally think is fantastic value. I've previously worked in Birmingham and many times met the girls for drinks in the browns there in the city and even though I still enjoyed it there, think they could still learn a great deal from the staff here now I've visited this particular restaurant. read more

Browns is easily one of the classiest places I dined at in England. Five stars for staff, food, bang for your buck, and atmosphere. The staff was extremely accommodating in terms of modifying dishes to meet vegan standards. The beer list could use some love and attention but the cocktails were no consolation prize. read more

Browns enjoys a deserved reputation for good food in the pleasant airy surroundings of an old brick warehouse on the City's South Quay. British/West European menu is imaginative without being over complicated, and we've never had a bad meal here in several visits. Although prices can easily reach £30 a head (food only), the special lunch, midweek evening and Sunday lunch menus offer the same food quality and excellent service at a fraction of the cost (check website for details). Sadly offers don't extend to the wine list where the cheaper bottles are £18 - £22. Eat here 'off peak' for a top restauarant experience at reasonable prices. read more

I recently went to Brown's for an evening meal. Thankfully it was my inlaw's treat. I am used to paying curry house prices and my eyes nearly jumped out of my head when I saw the cost. Having said that the food was beyond reproach. the place had a feeling of exclusivity without being snooty. I would definitely recomend it and I am sure I will make a return visit, especially if someone else pays again. read more

Well, this is touted as Worcester's best restaurant and it is good. The location is fabulous, right next to the river, the staff discreet and service is great. However, I think that, whilst the food is good it's not as great as you would expect for the price. In my opinion The Little Sauce Factory is the better restaurant. read more

Had lunch at this restaurant in April 2008. It had been closed for several months following flood damage in the summer of 2007 - but has been well-restored and strengthened in terms of flood defenses. I had chosen from the 3 course table d'hôte menu - not cheap, but well worth the £25 per head. A superb meal in a lovely setting over looking the River Severn. I was impressed by the excellent standard of the waiting staff. Would happily dine there again. read more

My wife and I decided to go here for an evening Meal. The place has just been done up. The place was heaving. I was glad I booked a table in advance. Service speed was to be expected for the amoint of people in the place, but the food was fantastic. That, coupled with the reasonable price, I give it 5 stars. read more
