This was our first experience at a Brazilian restaurant, and our first time back at a buffet since COVID, and we were very impressed. I appreciated that all efforts were made for patrons to wear gloves, masks, and to sanitize before handling anything in the buffet area. All the food we had was incredible, especially the steak that was cut right in front of us, perfectly medium rare to our liking. We did feel the food could've been hotter, but it's always tough to temperature control with buffets, so we understood. The food was still delicious and I would absolutely come back here. Though they try their best to distance everyone in their dining area, they're working with a small space. If you feel uncomfortable being in a smaller room with a good amount of people, I would suggest doing take out instead. read more

This is a lovely, family owned Brazilian Churrascaria, or steak house. I prefer this place over any of the other Brazilian steak houses I've tried in the past because you only pay for what you want to eat instead of the typical all you can eat. Basically, you pick what you want from their buffet and then select from their grilled meats; your selections are weighed and you only pay 7.99 a pound. I'm already a big fan and I adore how their buffet features different selections every day. The owners are very welcoming and I look forward to returning often. read more

Got there at lunch's time and there was only a cold little bit of pinto beans left at the buffet and when I asked if they were gonna put fresh beans they just said no and no one cared about it. OMGGGGG so good!! My sister, her boyfriend, my 2 year old nephew and I went here after being at the aquarium to get quick food and we were BLOWN AWAY!!! Everything was juicy and tasty. I am Brazilian and this place was awesome!!! Even though we came at 5pm, right when it closed, they let us in and the meat was fresh!!!! They had a selection of American foods to, such as fries and chicken tenders, but it tasted better then the American version. Didn't try the desserts, but I am guessing they would have tasted great! Also had awesome costumer service, letting us in right when it was about to close and being super friendly. The food at this place was great when the restaurant first open. Since then, I think the quality of the food has diminished. The staff is generally courteous but sometimes it can be a bit frustrating when they open at 11am and you walk in at 11:30am and they "don't have" this or that. I mean, do they fire up the grill when they open? About a week ago I went in and was very disappointed because the restaurant had lost electricity. The son of the owner was very kind and apologetic and joked, "we have no electricity but we still have food." I went to the back of the restaurant where the buffet is and as I picked up a container, the co-owner(also his mother) said, "I'm sorry Honey but the scale is powered by electricity and I'm afraid I won't be able to weigh your food." I couldn't believe she was refusing me service because of a scale. The food was going to go bad anyway!!!!! I've grown extremely frustrated with these people and their poor entrepreneurial skills. This is a fun spot to go to anytime of the day. There is always a buffet with everything from salads, corn, mac&cheese, black beans, chicken wings, fried plantains, quinoa salad, fruit, you name it! You grab what you want and weigh it for pricing. The real crown jewel of this place is the meat selection. They have the Brazilian-style skewers rotating with different meats in the oven. You can select, sirloin, chicken thighs, chicken, bacon-wrapped chicken (delicious), spice or sweet sausage, pork, and a bunch of other options depending on the day. (You can also pick how you like your meat cooked, and they'll find what you're looking for). I'm a big fan of the steak, bacon-wrapped chicken and sausages, as well as the fried plantains. One of my favorite places to get a quick lunch or dinner. I like to come here whether it's to sit-in or just grab-and-go. All times are good times, I've always felt welcomed here. There's a well decorated interior with lots of colors and pictures along the walls. The food is always delicious and I can get exactly what I want at the self-serve buffet. (I prefer this so that I get just the right sized portion that I select at the buffet, no more and no less). The fruit-drinks and the desserts are delicious too, especially the flan! The staff is really friendly and parking in the back parking lot is really easy because there are several 10-minute parking spaces nearby the back entrance to the restaurant. My tip is, don't forget to tell the guy how you want your meat. I, per say, love it medium rare and I always get what I ask for. As if the food wasn't delicious enough, they have a variety of Brazilian desserts which by the way, is not easy to choose only one. My company recently moved to SoNo and I've been exploring the many eateries. This has become one of my favorite lunch spots. While they have a regular menu, the thing to do is the buffet and grilled meat. Buffet is very good but not spectacular -- no complaints -- however the grilled meat is absolutely fantastic and really makes it a place I return to again and again. Staff is very friendly as well. I was happy to see that a restaurant had finally filled the empty store front where Jeff's Cuisine used to be (there was another restaurant after Jeff's but it had a very short tenure). It took me a couple of weeks to work up the nerve to actually walk in - I had some trepidation about entering because even though the sign said "Brazilian Steakhouse" it looked like a buffet from the outside. One Saturday night after catching a flick at the SoNo Regent, I finally decided to give it a shot. I walked in with my wife and... it was a buffet. I saw lots of fresh vegetables and some unique Brazilian dishes, including a few meat dishes such as roast pork, but nothing that gave the place the right to call itself a steakhouse. Though the food looked good - it wasn't exactly what i was looking for on a Saturday night - I was strongly considering making a run for it. Fortunately, the nice Young Man (I didn't get a name and will have to get it next time, for the rest of this review I'll call him YM) behind the counter greeted us and said, "Grab a plate or takeout container and take food from the stations. Once, you're done there select from the Meat Nirvana that is positioned so that you can only see it once you are well into the restaurant and happen to be looking at it from a very specific angle." Clearly I've embellished a tad, but behind the counter in the kitchen area is a fire pit with a wide assortment of meat: top sirloin (Brazilian style with the nice strip of fat going across the top), brisket, bacon wrapped chicken, sausages, etc... I've started drooling just remembering what is a carnivore's dream! After gaining a better understanding of the food options, staying for dinner was a no-brainer. We loaded up on some veggies, rice, and beans and then made the quick trek to the counter to select our meats. The YM was super helpful with recommending cuts, selecting meats to the right level of our desired doneness, and giving us our requested amount of meat. We went with the top sirloin, brisket, and bacon wrapped chicken (recommended by YM -- super yummy!). He weighed our containers at the end and I was shocked at how little it cost at the end - barely over $20 for a TON of food. The meats are the star of the show - very flavorful due to the seasoning and cooking method - and are perfectly accompanied by the rice and beans that are available. Restaurante da Graca is a great new addition to SoNo that is unique to the many restaurants area due to the cuisine served and the low cost of its food. For both of these reasons, I'm giving it 5 stars. Also, don't forget some of the hot peppers at the counter - they are hot but tasty! read more

You're a restaurant in SoNo at 9pm on a Friday night. Your sign says Brazilian Steakhouse. You are open for business. I've been in your establishment for several minutes now. You wait until after I come to the grill counter with my to go container of plantains, rice. & beans to tell me that you have no meat left to serve that isn't cooked to boot leather. Perhaps it would have been more professional to let me know that meat selections were less than limited when I walked in the door. Had you done that I would have said no problem and tried you another time. It's not like you have any hours posted on the door either. And the "good deal" you were going to make me on the side dishes really is no consolation in a so called churrascaria. This place is great especially for a quick lunch or dinner. I always come here, when you come around 11-12:30 food is very fresh. Afterwards it's kinda sitting there but that's how buffets are. Workers are also always changing the trays too which shows they don't let the food sit. Grilled meat is spectacular. Good service as well. read more

Very casual place for a quick dine in, but better as a take out. I tried their buffet and while it was good, not much for entree options, though. I also thought it was a bit pricey. I ordered take out for dinner one night. I ordered one of their "skillet" entrees. I ordered their chicken. I was not impressed with the chicken. It was dry and had no flavor. Luckily, I got a side of hot sauce, which helped. The vegetables we're very fresh and I liked the yucca and plantains. We had such a great celebration! Restaurante da Graca made my mother's birthday so special! The table decoration with birthday balloons (that she was allowed to keep!) was a wonderful surprise. All I did was called for a reservation for 8 and mentioned the occasion. I never asked for anything special. The food was absolutely, deliciously, incredible. We can't stop talking about how nicely the sirloin was spiced. I was particularly impressed that we could select the exact cut of meat to the done-ness we liked, with the fat trimmed off. You don't get that at a typical buffet. Thanks also for watching over our parking meter and helping us get handicapped parking for my elderly parents (their car was right behind the window next to our table - it couldn't be any more convenient to the back door!). I looked at reviews on Yelp about this restaurant before coming here, and found most were very helpful, except the one that described "meat glue." After eating here, I can only say that you can prevent "meat glue" by choosing meat cooked to your preference. The hostess slices it right off the skewer in front of you, so you can see how red or brown it is, and then gives you only what you point to (both selection in color/texture and quantity). Hit or miss. We've been here several times, and every time it's like flipping a coin. First time the food was hot and tasted good, next time the food was cold and tasted bland. Tonight we're sitting here after eating yet ANOTHER COLD MEAL and to top it off it's freezing in here since they don't turn the heat on and the place is virtually empty with about 4 people here. I moved to Norwalk from Mid-Town Manhattan and have tasted my fair share of steaks. This place is right up there with some of the $100+ meals I've had in NYC but at a fraction of the cost! I'm really debating whether to even mention the price in case they see this review and raise the cost... Basically you can get what you would pay $50-100 for in NYC for the price of a McDonalds meal. But as I mentioned before, at the same level of quality as an NYC steakhouse. Really crazy. Unbelievably great tasting steak and the buffet selection is great as well. I go here a few times a week as I find myself constantly craving their steak (even in the middle of the night).
