    Mixed greens salad

Probably one of the best meals we had in Zermatt! We came per a friend's recommendation, and were definitely not disappointed. We tried a salad and a couple pasta dishes. The salad was both creative and dressing was fresh, while the pastas were cooked perfectly al dente. Our pastas came with veal and seafood. The veal was very tender and cooked to just the right color. The seafood (shellfish and fish fillets) were fresh and not overcooked. The only negative comment I have is when we were paying, we were asked on the credit console if we wanted to tip. No other restaurant in Zermatt or Zurich asked us. In fact, many purposely bypassed that screen for us. Very awkward to have them standing there asking if you'll tip in a non-tipping culture country. Please don't rip off the Americans! All in all the food was really a great meal and definitely worth a visit.

The food was delicious, the service was ok. If you don't have a reservation you are seated in a back room. The prices are $$$$...the wine list is adequate. The location for us was great...barely outside our front door. I had Veal it was fabulous, my daughter had lamb...also delicious

Excellent discovery in Zermatt. Very cute restaurant and friendly service, the chef also came over to speak with us which was lovely. We had been in Switzerland for over a week and there were different food requests from each person in the group- this place had it all! The lobster, tuna, and prawns on our various dishes were very fresh and tasty. The standout was the lamb fillet! Had never had that cut before and it was so tender. I recommend if you are in town!

This might be one of the best restaurants in Zermatt, hands down! And you of course need to have the lobster tail dish. If you wonder how they are able to get some really fresh and tasty lobster delivered to the middle of no-mans land - well, I don't know - but, the lobster is fresh and absolutely amazing. It's also a massive portion that you can easily share between two people. Also massive and also tasty is their meat plate appetizer. It can easily feed 5 people. The vibe is great and the folks working here truly care about their guests. Make sure you have a reservation though as the place is booked out every night. I can't wait to come back here and try some of the other dishes and enjoy the warm atmosphere of the interior and service.

The lobster tail and prawn with spaghetti and cheese sauce is delicious- a generous serve which won't leave you hungry. Friendly service and a relaxing setting with a great drop of chianti makes for a great end to the day in this beautiful village.

Very nice service although we have had better fondue. Nice touch that they give you some kirsche to add to the fondue yourself.

Because we were a party of 3, we did not fit the number of chairs in the restaurant. She started to call 2 parties of 2 behind us. Since she's allowing parties of 2, I told her to just take my husband and my kid. I will not eat. After being the first to be seated in an empty 20 seats room, my husband and kid were served last. My husband said that she continued to be rude to them and other patrons. My kid said that his curry pork rice was the worst. The curry was clumpy and the rice was mushy. My husband said that his ramen was mediocre at best. The meat was dry and the noodles were clumped together. There are many other options at the Chamonix Village. There's no need to pay overpriced mediocre food and be treated badly. Definitely skip Tanpopo.

Although I can't agree with a previous review stating it was the "best ramen I've ever had," we enjoyed a tasty and comforting Japanese meal. They were not able to make maki rolls so we ordered the wakami seaweed salad as a starter that was nice and light. For entrees, we ordered the Tanpopo complet beef curry with boiled egg and a miso ramen bata with added spicy white sesame oil. One side note: I liked the kick of the spicy oil, but since that particular ramen comes with butter, it felt a bit too oily. My recommendation is to only add spicy oil to ramen that doesn't come with butter :) I felt that both the curry and ramen dishes needed some salt. Luckily, this was easily remedied by a couple shakes of the salt shaker. Overall, we enjoyed our first lunch in Chamonix!
