A little hidden from the main "street" a quite small restaurant with good service and great food from the grill - they really know what they are doing - it was delicious. Prices are on the higher end but somehow it is worth it

Wine and watching the chef grill steaks over wood fire

We ate here for the second time - came here 6 years ago from the US. Everything was amazing- the service, the ambiance and the food. We were there as a party of 6 with friends that have never been to Switzerland before and all were in agreement. The steak was cooked perfectly and the scalloped potatoes were amazing. Had the Syrah which was also wonderful. Will definitely eat here again and highly recommend to everyone.

Amazing food and service. We had great cocktails, grilled rack of lamb, and crème brûlée. Highly recommended by year round residents.

We started with the mushroom risotto, and then had a filet of beef and tiger prawns as our entrees.

Because we were a party of 3, we did not fit the number of chairs in the restaurant. She started to call 2 parties of 2 behind us. Since she's allowing parties of 2, I told her to just take my husband and my kid. I will not eat. After being the first to be seated in an empty 20 seats room, my husband and kid were served last. My husband said that she continued to be rude to them and other patrons. My kid said that his curry pork rice was the worst. The curry was clumpy and the rice was mushy. My husband said that his ramen was mediocre at best. The meat was dry and the noodles were clumped together. There are many other options at the Chamonix Village. There's no need to pay overpriced mediocre food and be treated badly. Definitely skip Tanpopo.

It's a charming ramen place in Chamonix in the Aiguille du Midi area. Although we came a half hour…read morebefore closing, they happily served us with no rush. Although I can't agree with a previous review stating it was the "best ramen I've ever had," we enjoyed a tasty and comforting Japanese meal. They were not able to make maki rolls so we ordered the wakami seaweed salad as a starter that was nice and light. For entrees, we ordered the Tanpopo complet beef curry with boiled egg and a miso ramen bata with added spicy white sesame oil. One side note: I liked the kick of the spicy oil, but since that particular ramen comes with butter, it felt a bit too oily. My recommendation is to only add spicy oil to ramen that doesn't come with butter :) I felt that both the curry and ramen dishes needed some salt. Luckily, this was easily remedied by a couple shakes of the salt shaker. Overall, we enjoyed our first lunch in Chamonix!
