    Crepe suzette

Searching for a restaurant the day before, we were lucky that this place had one opening for us! Upon showing up, we were not too sure what to expect but ended up having a lovely dinner! The meal started with a palate cleanser: tuna with ginger. In the past, I have tried tuna and have not been a fan. Regardless, I tried it anyways and was very surprised. I found it to be quite tasty. If I wasn't told it was tuna, I wouldn't have guessed it at all. It did not have the typical tuna flavor to it, and the ginger was a nice flavor with it As an appetizer, we tried the wine soup. Delicious. For a meal we had the flambe and it was flavorful. Initially, we thought the plate was small for the price. However, it was pretty filling. Then we found out that there was another serving of it! We were not expecting that! Don't worry, we still managed to squeeze in a dessert - crepe suzette (order minimum is for 2 people). It was a flamby crepe with orange flavoring and a scoop of ice cream! The staff was very friendly and very attentive! Overall, the meal and the experience were very enjoyable

This dinner was an incredible start to our time in Zermatt. The Beef fillet Stroganoff Flambé was absolutely amazing. We left very full and happy! Enjoyed the service and ambiance as well.

We had dinner here while in town and although we did not do the flambé - we enjoyed the Duck plate and Steak plate. My steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and I enjoyed the 2 dipping sauces and herbed butter it came with. You get to pick your side and I went with the French fries, which were simple and perfect. The dining room is a combination of a hunting lodge and upscale mountain restaurant and the service was top notch.

Because we were a party of 3, we did not fit the number of chairs in the restaurant. She started to call 2 parties of 2 behind us. Since she's allowing parties of 2, I told her to just take my husband and my kid. I will not eat. After being the first to be seated in an empty 20 seats room, my husband and kid were served last. My husband said that she continued to be rude to them and other patrons. My kid said that his curry pork rice was the worst. The curry was clumpy and the rice was mushy. My husband said that his ramen was mediocre at best. The meat was dry and the noodles were clumped together. There are many other options at the Chamonix Village. There's no need to pay overpriced mediocre food and be treated badly. Definitely skip Tanpopo.

Although I can't agree with a previous review stating it was the "best ramen I've ever had," we enjoyed a tasty and comforting Japanese meal. They were not able to make maki rolls so we ordered the wakami seaweed salad as a starter that was nice and light. For entrees, we ordered the Tanpopo complet beef curry with boiled egg and a miso ramen bata with added spicy white sesame oil. One side note: I liked the kick of the spicy oil, but since that particular ramen comes with butter, it felt a bit too oily. My recommendation is to only add spicy oil to ramen that doesn't come with butter :) I felt that both the curry and ramen dishes needed some salt. Luckily, this was easily remedied by a couple shakes of the salt shaker. Overall, we enjoyed our first lunch in Chamonix!
