Rack of lamb. I asked to swap out the Au gratin potatoes because I lactose intolerant and they were very accommodating.

We had a wonderful meal here! We both ordered local lamb (I had the rack of lamb, my husband had the entrecôte) and both were pretty spectacular. We were seated in the back room with three large groups. Unfortunately the service was a little slow at first as a result, but they were very nice. If you speak a little German I would encourage you to try it with the staff. They also speak English, but definitely appreciated my stilted German. The ambiance was traditional Swiss with large windows and beautiful wood furnishings.

I can't stress enough how much you should come here. Amazing service - Emmanuel and Marcia were so amazing. So communicative, friendly, and always checking in on us. Food - Amazing. I would say tenderness over flavor for the meats. Get the Bison. Amazing taste and so tender. Everything is cooked to rare/medium rare. 10/10 would recommend to come here. A restaurant in a hotel that is so good. Lovely atmosphere. Amazing customer service. And great food. Definitely top restaurant.

This place is fabulous! The lamb entrecôte was simply the best lamb that I've ever had. It was extremely tender, mild flavor, and has unique taste. The owner said they only use local valais blacknose sheep. It has certainly raised the bar of lamb dish for me.

After an exhausting days of traveling to Zermatt, my hotel recommended this restaurant across the street. I hesitated a little, but I'm so glad I went in. I chose their 2 plate menu with the lox mango salad and cubed pork with risotto. The greens were super fresh with horseradish dressing. It was much needed after terrible plane food that I had to reject. Let me tell you about the wonderful initial taste of that pork. The wine sauce took me to a European restaurant that my dad took the family when we were little in Korea. I'm not sure how that particular restaurant got this pepper sauce right or how I even got a taste of this and have been wanting that taste again. I haven't been able to find this taste in the US. I wanted to finish the plate, but I was sooo full. It was a rather big plate. Compliments to the chef! BTW, the service here was amazing! My server joked with me even though I was too tired to receive them. He made my first night in Switzerland quite memorable. You just never know who you're going to lift with a good attitude. I've traveled for 2 days straight through multiple time zones, and I've never taken the train in Europe and had to learn on the fly. It was a stressful day to get to Zermatt from Milan, but my day ended well with this dinner. Thank you!

I came following recommendations by some YouTubers, and left underwhelmed. The good: The variety of lamb dishes on the menu is very impressive, and so is the wine list. The ambiance is quite inviting, and the photos of sheep are charming even though that's what's for dinner. Undecided: My wife ordered the lamb tongue, and found it very tender but gamey. This is likely due to the ingredient itself so I won't pass judgment. Needing improvement: The snapper portion size was too small for 40 Swiss Francs. The flesh lost its tenderness; either it was overcooked, or the fish arrived frozen and not fresh. The side dishes were disappointing. Both dinner plates came with two steamed baby carrot and a broccoli floret, which are more fitting for a lunchtime cafeteria. How about some roasted tomatoes or peppers? Even if you have to serve steamed carrots, may I suggest steamed carrot slices cut in decorative shapes instead? At least that would show some effort. Also served on the side are chili noodle that had no flavor and were drenched in oil. May I suggest some pappardelle with just a dash of olive oil instead?

Quick attentive service. Ambiance is very cozy. The price is high but on par with what you would expect in Switzerland in general. Everything was solid. Nothing blew me out of the water. But every dish was balanced out perfectly. The highlight of the restaurant is their black faced (Valais) sheep dishes. Unfortunately the lamb ribs aren't available for lunch. Dinner opens at 6. I would recommend coming in the evening for the full experience.

Excellent meal and the wait staff was outstanding! We sat out on their patio and enjoyed the summer evening and each other! Highly recommended.

Lamb dishes were incredible! We came back a second time as the food was so good . Wine was incredible and the dessert buffet was the best!

I ordered the Bison steak and my wife had the Lamb Knuckle (lamb shank) that our server, Christian, recommended.

Because we were a party of 3, we did not fit the number of chairs in the restaurant. She started to call 2 parties of 2 behind us. Since she's allowing parties of 2, I told her to just take my husband and my kid. I will not eat. After being the first to be seated in an empty 20 seats room, my husband and kid were served last. My husband said that she continued to be rude to them and other patrons. My kid said that his curry pork rice was the worst. The curry was clumpy and the rice was mushy. My husband said that his ramen was mediocre at best. The meat was dry and the noodles were clumped together. There are many other options at the Chamonix Village. There's no need to pay overpriced mediocre food and be treated badly. Definitely skip Tanpopo.

Although I can't agree with a previous review stating it was the "best ramen I've ever had," we enjoyed a tasty and comforting Japanese meal. They were not able to make maki rolls so we ordered the wakami seaweed salad as a starter that was nice and light. For entrees, we ordered the Tanpopo complet beef curry with boiled egg and a miso ramen bata with added spicy white sesame oil. One side note: I liked the kick of the spicy oil, but since that particular ramen comes with butter, it felt a bit too oily. My recommendation is to only add spicy oil to ramen that doesn't come with butter :) I felt that both the curry and ramen dishes needed some salt. Luckily, this was easily remedied by a couple shakes of the salt shaker. Overall, we enjoyed our first lunch in Chamonix!
