This is not at all the case here. Read on to be wowed. Robert at ABS computer services absolutely went above and beyond and exceeded all expectations. Luckily for me, his office is right down the street and within walking distance but I would happily sit in the notoriously horrendous L.A. traffic for hours if I ever need computer services again in the future. Our encounter started with a quick phone call to inquire about his services. I had assumed I would have to shop around and make lots of phone calls and deal with lots of less experienced individuals to possibly make some headway in my predicament. That being an older (4-5 years possibly?) Samsung laptop that I had little hope for reviving. The computer used to "work" the last time being over a year ago and in a very frustratingly slow and unreliable state, to say the least. It would over heat and/or crash on the few times it actually got into the operating system. Would have to try safe mode numerous times to even get past the boot up process. Nothing worse than being a few pages or more into a project to have it freeze up and lose any unsaved work to have to start again, often times from scratch, after numerous attempts to restart. The state it was in prior to Roberts outstanding work was horrendous dismal and depressing. I had considered recycling the machine as I had forgotten about it until recently when I came upon it again while doing some cleaning. When I found the beast again it brought me nearly to tears with all the memories of it quitting on me and nearly resulting to "Office space" printer tactics, I.e. taking Sam out to an abandoned field and performing some "surgery" with a sledge hammer. Robert asked me a few questions during that first phone call and I could tell he was the man for the job. I went into his office with the laptop and power cord and we discussed what the problem(s) were. We brainstormed together about the symptoms and possible solutions, basically I did my best to keep up with his wisdom while explaining what the stage of the device was. At this point the computer would turn on and say Samsung...that was it. It would not go past that screen to load operating system, or even allow access to setup, etc. Essentially the battery would chargeoo and then you had a Samsung display sign until the battery died again. I decided to leave it in his hands, and glad I did. Robert was in touch with me and very upfront about costs of his service. Robert did his magic, after a small deposit of $49, found it to be the hard drive. I confirmed with Robert after he gave me an estimate for parts and labor, to replace. Not only did he give me an accurate quote, but the work was completed quicker than estimated. He charged me for the replacement hard drive, and gave me back the original. He updated the operating system, installed Office suite, put chrome and Firefox and malware protection on the device and it works better than ever before with more storage! He took an extinct dinosaur and revitalized it evolved it to something better. If I could I would give 6/5 stars! Very fair price and excellent work and timely honest outstanding customer service. He even said if there's a problem in the future he will fix it! I sincerely doubt there could be any problems because I know he did things right the first time. Truly amazed! Robert YOURE THE MAN!

I received a defective GPU in my ABS PC. I sent the GPU in for replacement. Two weeks later after…read moreseveral back and forths with ABS I received a replacement GPU that was used. It was obviously damaged with bent radiator fins and one out of three fans that didnt work. ABS's only solution was to again send in the GPU with no guarantee when I would receive the second replacement part. Over 1 month with a new unusable PC is inexcusable, and I will not be buying from ABS again.

I originally took my phone to the uBreakiFix store in Redlands in May 2026 to have the glass/screen…read morereplaced. At that time, I also informed the staff that the battery needed to be replaced, and the battery was subsequently serviced. In early August 2026, I unfortunately broke the screen again. Because I had a doctor's appointment nearby, I took the phone to the uBreakiFix location in Rialto. After inspecting the phone, the staff there informed me that the phone was not repairable because there was old corrosion inside the device. I was specifically told that, when the battery was previously replaced, the phone had not been properly sealed afterward, which allowed moisture to enter the device and resulted in the corrosion. I explained to the Rialto employee that the previous battery repair had been performed at the Redlands location. The employee recommended that I return to the Redlands store and explain the situation to them. When I went back to the Redlands location, I was initially greeted politely. However, as soon as I explained what had happened and what the Rialto location had told me, the interaction changed completely. In front of another customer, a shorter male employee began yelling at me and immediately insisted that the problem was not their fault. He accused me of having dropped the phone in water. I explained that I do not carry or use my phone around water and that I had no reason to believe the phone had been exposed to water. He then stated that someone must have spilled something on it without my knowledge. Rather than attempting to investigate the issue, he continued to dismiss responsibility. I was then told that I could speak with the manager, who would supposedly be back in approximately ten minutes. I agreed to wait. After waiting the ten minutes, the same employee came back out from behind the glass wall and informed me that the manager would actually not be back for another 45 minutes. Throughout this interaction, I specifically and repeatedly asked the employee to contact the Rialto location to verify what their technicians had told me regarding the corrosion and improper sealing of the phone. On numerous occasions, he refused to call the Rialto store. I find this particularly concerning. If the Redlands location believed that the Rialto technician's assessment was incorrect, there should have been no reason to refuse to contact the Rialto store and verify the information. Instead, I was met with accusations and an unwillingness to investigate the situation. My concern is that the phone was not properly sealed when the battery was replaced at the Redlands location in May 2026. The subsequent corrosion identified by the Rialto location may have resulted from that improper sealing. I am not making this allegation without basis; it is based on the information provided to me by the Rialto technician after examining the device. I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of the original repair and the way my concerns were handled when I returned to the Redlands location. I believe the matter should be properly investigated, including communication between the Redlands and Rialto locations, rather than simply being dismissed by an employee who refused to verify the information. I am requesting that management review the repair performed in May 2026, determine whether the phone was properly sealed following the battery replacement, and address the manner in which my complaint was handled at the Redlands location.
