I received a defective GPU in my ABS PC. I sent the GPU in for replacement. Two weeks later after several back and forths with ABS I received a replacement GPU that was used. It was obviously damaged with bent radiator fins and one out of three fans that didnt work. ABS's only solution was to again send in the GPU with no guarantee when I would receive the second replacement part. Over 1 month with a new unusable PC is inexcusable, and I will not be buying from ABS again. read more

My computer had some blue screen problems due to a bad memory module so I left it here. Job was efficiently done. I don't need to worry about contacting the manufacture about warranty - the guy here took care of it. I got everything I expected. I'm new to this country so I don't know how much the service is supposed to cost. Testing memory cost $49, installing windows 7(was using windows 8, it sucks) cost $149, and ordering, installing, and testing a new memory module cost $95. I thought these are kind of expensive, but he told me beforehand so I can't complain about that. read more

Robert is a great IT resource. My work had to update all it's medical workstations to Windows 7 from older XP. Robert was able to work around our patient schedule, come early, stay late and was great to coordinate with. Robert is hands down the best computer whiz there is! I very rarely if ever write a yelp or other form of business review, and if so usually only for negative service. This is not at all the case here. Read on to be wowed. Robert at ABS computer services absolutely went above and beyond and exceeded all expectations. Luckily for me, his office is right down the street and within walking distance but I would happily sit in the notoriously horrendous L.A. traffic for hours if I ever need computer services again in the future. Our encounter started with a quick phone call to inquire about his services. I had assumed I would have to shop around and make lots of phone calls and deal with lots of less experienced individuals to possibly make some headway in my predicament. That being an older (4-5 years possibly?) Samsung laptop that I had little hope for reviving. The computer used to "work" the last time being over a year ago and in a very frustratingly slow and unreliable state, to say the least. It would over heat and/or crash on the few times it actually got into the operating system. Would have to try safe mode numerous times to even get past the boot up process. Nothing worse than being a few pages or more into a project to have it freeze up and lose any unsaved work to have to start again, often times from scratch, after numerous attempts to restart. The state it was in prior to Roberts outstanding work was horrendous dismal and depressing. I had considered recycling the machine as I had forgotten about it until recently when I came upon it again while doing some cleaning. When I found the beast again it brought me nearly to tears with all the memories of it quitting on me and nearly resulting to "Office space" printer tactics, I.e. taking Sam out to an abandoned field and performing some "surgery" with a sledge hammer. Robert asked me a few questions during that first phone call and I could tell he was the man for the job. I went into his office with the laptop and power cord and we discussed what the problem(s) were. We brainstormed together about the symptoms and possible solutions, basically I did my best to keep up with his wisdom while explaining what the stage of the device was. At this point the computer would turn on and say Samsung...that was it. It would not go past that screen to load operating system, or even allow access to setup, etc. Essentially the battery would chargeoo and then you had a Samsung display sign until the battery died again. I decided to leave it in his hands, and glad I did. Robert was in touch with me and very upfront about costs of his service. Robert did his magic, after a small deposit of $49, found it to be the hard drive. I confirmed with Robert after he gave me an estimate for parts and labor, to replace. Not only did he give me an accurate quote, but the work was completed quicker than estimated. He charged me for the replacement hard drive, and gave me back the original. He updated the operating system, installed Office suite, put chrome and Firefox and malware protection on the device and it works better than ever before with more storage! He took an extinct dinosaur and revitalized it evolved it to something better. If I could I would give 6/5 stars! Very fair price and excellent work and timely honest outstanding customer service. Great services - I had dead laptop repaired when they replaced power board and saved my daughters school work. Also thought I had lost all my digital pictures because I hadn't backed them up like they told me and they were able to retrieve them all from dead computer. I now back up my pictures!
