This is a lovely little place. The owner, Reshma, is a doll and she is excellent at waxing and threading. If she's busy you can ask for Dina, she's also very good. With eyebrows, just let them know you don't want them too thin. Otherwise, they are both great and very sweet. Dina is shy so she may seem unfriendly at first, but it's just shyness. My go-to place for threading! I used to go to one of the many places on Main Street ($5) but I live much closer to this location and for a dollar more I'll take it! I like that they take their time with my eyebrows and they let me know if I do a bad job tweezing between my threading sessions and offer me suggestions. This is a terrible salon. They double dip the stick with the bikini wax, burned my skin 3 times, and was on her cell phone the whole time during the Brazilian. I also was told I had to come back every 2 weeks and got horrible ingrown hairs and skin that was basically stripped apart. She also asked how much I was going to tip her after the terrible service. So happy I found this place, everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Its close to home and very clean inside. Never had an issue I'm usually in and out. Reshma who is the owner does great facials, I go every month. I usually get the sensitive skin facial and it feels so relaxing and my face feels refreshed, can't wait to try her other facials; she also does my eyebrows and lip. Stay far far away if you're looking for their eyelash extensions, if they can even call it that. They use the cheap clump lashes that you can buy at the drug store, these are not individual extensions. They glob the glue on, hold your eye open forcefully, and jab the lashes under your lash line and had the nerve to GIVE ME AN ATTITUDE because my eyes were watering. She was getting glue in my eyes and holding them open, of course they're going to water. They're ugly and unnatural, and ripped ALL my natural lashes out. Save your $25, and go down the block to Sweet Lashes to Summer or CeCe, they'll hook it up. read more

I came yesterday, and just like the last time I came, the girl spent the whole time trying to sell massage and facial while she was threading my eyes and lips. I go to Reshma's pretty often, maybe every other week or so. They do an amazing job on my eyebrows and they're relatively close to my house so it's extremely convenient. I always find it a chore to come here because I know I will leave with a sour taste in my mouth. This place gets a 2-star rating because their customer service is poor; they are rude and very unprofessional when working on customers. Every time I come here, I am completely blown away by the fact that every single employee here is capable of threading one's eyebrows while holding the thread in their mouth and carrying on a full conversation. What the heck?! I came here with a friend that understood their language and evidentially they talk smack about you while you're sitting there. Okay so let me get it right: not only are you carrying on a full conversation talking smack about me WHILE you're working (AND SOMETIMES SPITTING) on my face, but i'm paying you to do it? Professionalism at its very best, I must say. Its upsetting that every employee I have encountered is downright unprofessional and there is not one individual you can request for a decent experience. None the less, I always find myself returning because they always do a good job on my eyebrows; however, it should not be the case where I am dreading my next visit. This is the ONLY reason I am not giving them a 1-star rating. If I could give this place negative stars I would!!! This is the worst experience in my life. I went to this salon 3 times before for eyebrow threading. Although the work wasn't perfect, there were no issues. 4 days before my wedding I decided to go full face threading. I came to this salon and said that this is for my wedding and I've never done this before. I though how could you mess up threading??? Omg I was crying at my wedding day and for the next week. The dark lines stayed there for 3 weeks. They were very vivid on my wedding day. Do not go to this salon!!! They don't care. I will be reporting this salon to better business bureau!!! read more

Reshma is a goddess. I came here because I had a business meeting in NY and my eyebrows were busted and I didn't have time to get them done at home. The folks on Yelp rated her highly and it is well deserved. One thing to note is that the address is 33-19 not 3319. Parking (in the front) may be challenging but I came by cab. For $6.25 she transformed my busted brows into works of art. I have had my brows done at a high brow (pun intended) spa in Manhattan for 5 times the amount and it wasn't as nice. Went here today for the first time because of its 5 star reviews and because I live nearby. The place was great! Staff was really nice and the owner was super friendly. Clean and cozy. Can't beat the price: $6 for eyebrow threading. Parking is so-so on the block; meter parking is limited but it's ok. The surrounding area is residential so you can find parking there as well. Definitely coming back soon for a facial and hoping to have Reshma as my eyebrow upkeep place for every 2-3 weeks! And yes, my eyebrows look fab! read more

I came in for a Brazilian wax (I normally get it done in the city) and the lady that did the service for me was terrible. My tolerance for pain is pretty high but this lady just didn't know what she was doing. She didn't blow on the wax before putting it on my skin and burned me a few times and when she was pulling the hairs out she didn't even pull it in the right direction. I know that redness/bumps are unavoidable after waxing especially if you have sensitive skin, but I've gotten a proper Brazilian wax before and when I got home, there were red bumps everywhere and the area felt sore for the next two days. The redness/bumps didn't go away until then either. Now that it is growing out I notice that I have a lot of ingrown hairs and I would never return here for a Brazilian wax. read more

i went in today to get my eyebrows and upper lips done and this lady did an amazing job! i told her i wanted a clean up and not shaped. she did exactly what i asked her and i was satisfied with it. usually i go to the one in the city but i didnt want to go all the way there to get my eyebrows done so i had come to this place because my sister had told me it was great here. it was only $11 total, cheaper then the one i get in the city and they do it great! i would def go back. im just wondering how there facial is... been looking for a place. if i do decide to get my facial here i will write an update and let you guys know how it was! and the parking is so so.. the max you can put on the meter is bout a hour and you can hardly even find a parking spot cuz its always so packed but i got lucky today. read more

LOVE THIS SPOT! No one quite leaves my eyebrows as perfect as Reshma. After having terrible experiences with waxing at nail salons I tried threading and fell in love. The atmosphere at Reshma is relaxing and clean. There is never really a wait expect during the weekends. My only complaint is they close kind of early (7:30pm everyday) and the parking. The workers are kind and always listen to what you want. I am not a fan of pencil thin eyebrows or ridiculously high arched ones so when I tell the girls how I'd like them shaped they are great & give me the results I want. You can't beat $6.25 for getting your eyebrows done. Overall this is a great place with great service..I would recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

I've been coming here since the salon first opened. I get my eyebrows threaded and a full wax regularly. I love the option to have chocolate wax, as it is definitely easier on the bikini area. I highly recommend Simi or Dina, as they are both great with eyebrow shaping. I've been going to this salon since I first started threading my eyebrows. My eyebrows always come out perfect and no other place compares. I'm partial to Reshma though because she is the fastest, gentlest, and most precise. I also had a full body wax done here before my wedding and it was a great experience (other than the obvious discomfort of the waxing process itself). The woman that did my waxing was so capable. The wax was quick and she was kind. I took one star off because I had a facial done at Reshma's some time before my wedding and although it was nice I felt like it was a bit expensive. DO NOT GO THERE. I went for eyelash extensions that were supposed to last two weeks, every other day they were falling out and I ha to go fix them. They acted like I owed them the world for doing it for free when it SHOULD BE FREE because of such inconvinience. No customer should have to fix their eyelashes and then rush to work late every other day when they are said to last 2 weeks!! Reshmas was nice toe over the phone and agreed to give me a refund, when I got there they did not give me the full refund AND TO TOP IT OFF the man who is part owner was disgusting with me. This is the absolute worst place to have your eyebrows threaded, or any other service they provide!! They hire dirty women that hold the pieces of thread in their mouth and then take the thread out of their mouth and use it to thread your eyebrows. This is a dirty, filthy, Department Of Health violation! It's GROSS!! I went there to get my eyebrows waxed and asked to get them cleaned-not reshaped-just cleaned in between my brows and the woman threaded my eyebrows into one fine thin line making my eyebrows look crazy. They will now take at least several months to grow back!! I have an event coming up this weekend and I have absolutely no idea what to do! At first, I didn't look at them and went into the back for a full Brazilian wax. The woman had me remove my clothing and began my waxing. After she used the first strip of wax, she then stuck the stick back into the hot wax for a 'double dipping'. I ran out to the front desk as fast as possible!! This was a 2nd DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH VIOLATION! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND BEWARE... they have two locations-one in Bayside and one in Port Washington. Both locations are owned by Reshma. Do not go to either one of them. They are filthy, dirty locations that do not care about your health or welfare. After much complaining, I was not charged. However, the owner offered me free vouchers for further services, which, for obvious reasons, I turned down. I'd NEVER come back into such a filthy establishment that had absolutely no regard for their customer's health or well being. I'm sure they'll be out of business soon, as I'll be calling the department of health & the department of labor to do a 'check in'. After searching for a threading salon to get my brows done for the first time (I have been waxing them for years) I chose Reshma based on the reviews on Yelp. I walked in and there was Indian music playing and a large Indian family including young children sitting around yapping. An older woman waved me into a chair while still yapping to the family. She did not ask me why I was there, just pulled scissors out of her pocket and starting trimming my brows. She didn't ask if that was okay. Then she took out a string from her pocket and started to thread, the whole time yapping away in some other language. I tried to tell her I never had threading done before, but she wasn't listening. She did not ask me if I wanted a new shape (which I did not, just a cleaning) and I ended up with straight eyebrow that have random hairs around them. She coughed all over her hands and went right back to threading my brows. I was thinking about giving this place one star, but she didn't make me bleed or anything, so I will give them two stars. There was someone else getting her brows done by another tech when I walked in and she was still getting threaded when I left, so maybe the other tech is way better. She was completely focused on her client and paid no attention to the yapping. I may get threaded again, but it won't be here! read more

DO NOT GET WAXED HERE!!!!! I usually go to kamal threading on Francis Lewis but they were closed today and I needed a desperate underarm wax. I arrived and the lady brought me to the waxing room and rudely told me to lay down. The pain I felt during the wax was so unbearable that I was shaking. She kept waxing over the same spot and the strips even had blood on it. I couldn't put my arms down when I got out, but I thought that it was just some irritation and it would go away, but I was wrong. I had to go out for dinner and I couldn't even sit through without having to run out and buy baby powder to apply to my armpits !!! She burnt my skin horribly or waxed a piece of my skin off. I'm not sure what she did but I'm laying in bed now with tissues in both my underarms filled with powder. I seriously can't move my arms it hurts so much !!! Beware of this place. I wish I could go back in and show her this but I'm just gonna make sure I always go to my usual place from now on read more
