This was my 1st time, So very polite fast and painless 10 out of 10 recommend, this will be my new spot.

No frills but good job on eyebrow & clean. Would definitely recommend! Shapes my eyebrows perfectly not too much

Best threading place ever. Finished in half the time it normally takes, barely hurt, and had a good sense of humor when I joked about how my eyes water a lot. Def recommend read more

Extremely good service, everyone is very kind and caring. The ladies here have years of experience more than 10+ I believe, and they're some of the nicest people you will find. They're very light handed and never make me bleed or leave red. This is something that's really important to me because I have contact dermatitis so my skin is especially sensitive. The prices are really good for the value! Please don't forget to tip read more

This is my go to spot for eyebrow threading. I like this place because the service is always great with no wait time. No appointment needed.

I don't ever do reviews, but Gina a real one. Been going to her for a year and converted a handful of people over to her :) read more

Very friendly people upon arrival. Usually the wait is not that long for eyebrow threading, but if it is they tell you to have a seat on the side. The eyebrow threading is clean and efficient. They ask you how you want it and when they're done they pass you the mirror to see if it is ok. If not, you let them know and they tweek it to your liking. For underbrow, they tell you to pull your skin tight with both your hands so they can get a better touch up. In the end, they would ask if you want lotion for the dryness from the friction or some refreshing rose water. This is the closest threading salon near me and I would come once a month. read more

Been wanting to get my eyebrows threaded for the longest time and I finally found a place! Got my eyebrows and was recommended to get my upper lips threaded as well. Total came out to be $12, plus $3 tip! read more

Maldi Beauty Salon - Mehndi by Gina - Hair Removal Near Me - Flushing, New York

Great service, and super affordable (especially for those of us who have to be back after hair grow back in just a few weeks...) Know what you want when you're going in and tell the gals who are working on you what you're looking for. I always want my brows thick, and I let them know that, they never disappoint. Facials are also on point. My skin is always super soft and clear of blackheads when I'm done! Warning though - this place can get pretty crowded fairly quick on weekends and other holidays. read more

Maldi has been opened since 2003. I've been coming here to get my eyebrows threaded for 8 years now. I love how I can come here and know that I won't leave disappointed. All the workers here do a great job with brows. Gina is my favorite person to go to. She is friendly and easy to talk to. She always does my brows quick but perfect! She knows exactly how I like my brows without me telling her. Highly recommend coming here! read more

Very hurried service (granted, it's $5 + tip) but I didn't expect such uneven brows, one was thin and arched while the other was thick. Also, it hurt quite a bit more than other places... Edit: I went back and the same lady was nice enough to fix my brows until I was satisfied for free. Make sure to walk out the door only after you're satisfied! read more

I've been coming to Maldi Beauty Salon for 17 years and they have always provided wonderful service. My mom and I usually get our eyebrows and upper lip threaded, we don't have thick eyebrows which makes it somewhat hard to shape but Maldi beauty always does an incredible job of making our eyebrow look thicker than they are. All the employees are so nice and great at what they do. Right now with covid they've made the necessary changes to make their customers feel comfortable including getting vaccinated and using a threading necklace to avoid having to put the thread on their mouths. It feels very safe to go even now :) read more

I got my haircut done today with Maldi and she did a fantastic job. I showed her a reference picture and she was able to do my hair exactly like it. I am extremely happy with the results. She is also a friendly and kind person and the price is very affordable. Highly recommend the salon :) read more

This is my #1 go to spot to go to for eyebrow threading. They have been around for over 20 years and I have been going her for the last 10 years! Gina is the absolute best and makes the experience so much better. She is so friendly and her skills are unmatched. The prices are also super reasonable and there is usually no wait. I am super picky on who I let touch by brows so whenever I am not in town, I always wait to come back to Maldi's salon because they are the only ones I trust. You must visit Maldi's soon! :) read more

more than a year of pandemic living has led to some unruly brows and this was the first order of business after i became fully vaxxed lol! before that, i've been coming here consistently to get my brows threaded. nowadays, there isn't physical barriers between the work stations, but they sanitized the area before and after my session. the staff really took her time and did a good job with my brows (threaded first, then trimmed some extra unruly brows with a scissor). lemme tell you, it's really nice to feel like a civilized being again! read more

I've been coming here since 2003 and I haven't changed it since then. This is the best salon for your eyebrows. I drive here from Astoria because the service is unmatched. Geera is the best read more

I hadn't had my eyebrows done in months and was so worried whoever I found to fix them would mess up the shape. I found Maldi through yelp and saw the great reviews and decided to try them. Gina was amazing! She knew exactly what I wanted and made my eyebrows look even better than before. I'm extremely picky with who does my eyebrows but I left there so happy! read more

I was charged $38 for a facial wax! the owner is an unprofessional idiot that makes a mockery of her customers in Hindi. if you don't want to be overcharged or made fun of in Hindi please stay away from this place. I will never step in this disgusting place again. read more

Couldn't be happier finding this spot! I haven't gotten my eyebrows threaded for 2 years (because of skin sensitivity) and they were a hot mess. Thank god for Gira who listened to what I wanted and was super personable as well as friendly. She's been doing this since 2003, and it shows that she has a lot of experience. I had no skin irritation nor redness when I left, which is like a miracle to me. This will definitely be my go to place from now on! read more

I had A DOCTORS appointment across the the street from the new location. Needed my eyebrows to be done . she did a great job on my eyebrows. I loved it. I will go back again read more

I waited 4-5 visits before rating Maldi Beauty Parlour. 1st Visit--- The first time I visited Maldi, it was GREAT. The owner (?) walked me to a room where my Brazillian was to be done. She kept drilling the fact that they use expensive wax and NO double dipping! (EVER) She then points to a handwritten sign that says *WE DO NOT DOUBLE DIP* Great, I thought. It was cheap, quick, and she did a good enough job. 2nd Visit--- I got some other lady (they never introduce themselves, I really don't know what her name was) and this time the wax experience hurt like hell. I was left with a sore (you know what) and lots of ingrown hairs 3rd Visit-- I really don't know why I came back, the ingrown hairs turned into some sort of bumpy mess, but I was desperate. This time the experience was even worst, the lady DID double dip and I was just too nervous staring at her to say anything (my fault, really) near the end, I said "oh you guys don't double dip right?" then I see her hastily reach and grab fresh sticks. I think I used about 4 sticks for the ENTIRE wax. 4th Visit-- I'm sure by now you guys are wondering why the hell I even came back, this time the lady did it right but when I told her about my scarring incident (from the overgrowns) she immediately said "no no, it's not from here, no" Yes, it was from here..maybe not by you. Overall-I think it comes down to who you get, once you find a good person, please..get her name so you don't end up with an experience like mine. Side note-I get really peeved when they ask me "oh, did you shave??" EACH AND EVERYTIME I get here. NO, I haven't been shaving, and if it looks like it due to all the ingrowns, it's probably a sh*tty job done by one of your employees. And it's not due to the fact that I don't take care of myself, because I exfoliate, EVERYWHERE. *fumes* read more

I come here every so often to get an eyebrow + brazillian wax. The ladies here are very professional and do an amazing job. I refuse to elsewhere. What stands out about this salon is that they don't do the conventional honey brazillian waxes that most other places do. They use chocolate wax which is known to hurt much much less. My experience with the Chocolate wax was by far the best waxing experience I've had to date. The post-wax results were great too. I do not know of any other salons in the area that use chocolate wax. Another plus side? it smells darn good too! The room immediately begins smelling like chocolate. Very soothing. This method is also GREAT for people with sensitive skin.I highly recommend this service. See Nita if you ever decide to go through with it. It is so important to find an esthetician that makes you feel comfortable and Nita does just that. TRUST ME, you won't regret it. read more

This is my go-to place for all my threading needs. Quick, painless and efficient, not to mention extremely affordable. There is rarely a language issue but then again, all you do is point to the body part you want taken care of and they get right to work. I've heard that they do great waxes, so I will have to come back the next time my legs get a little fuzzy and try it out :) read more

Maldi's Beauty Parlour is a great neighborhood waxing and threading place in the Flushing area where the ever-shrinking Desi enclave is present between Franklin and Elder Avenues in Main Street. The owner herself, Maldi, is an affable woman, along with the rest of the workers. What I found reassuring was that there weren't any language barriers-- they alternated between Hindi and English seamlessly. I asked for an underarm waxing, and I was led to a small, but cozy room with pink paint and Disney princess wallpaper... very feminine, but also comforting. The process was very quick, and the woman who was doing the waxing was competent and soothing, knowing that I was jittery and anxious. Best of all, the waxing was only $8, unlike other salons that go for exorbitant prices. Maldi's offers cheap prices for excellent service. My mom and sister have had their eyebrows threaded for only $6. A Brazilian wax is only $30. What more could you ask for? read more

Maldi used to be where I go every month to get my legs waxed and my eyebrows threaded. I liked it here because of Dasson, she always does an excellent job waxing or threading. Recently when I went back I was told she moved which made me so sad! Anyhow I decided to go back to Maldi still because I've been going there for so long. But my last two experiences with different technicians left me less than satisfied. Both times it was to get my lower legs waxed. I remember one girl would use the same wax strip for my entire leg... and she would spread the wax over the entire front part of my legs and then proceed to use the strip instead of working on smaller areas at a time. Hair would start to grow back within the week. The women at Maldi are sweet but services haven't been up to par since Dasson left. read more

I'm so glad I found this salon. I've been looking for a good eyebrow threading place and this is the best I've found. I like leaving my eyebrows thick. Thankfully the woman who helped me listened to my request to leave them that way. She cleaned up my eyebrows and I was so happy! I'll definitely be returning soon. read more

Came here for eyebrow threading. The girl did a pretty good job and it was only $5. Cheaper than city places that are usually $7 or so.

I have been going to maldi for 10years.... Gina is the best. That's the only person I go to.. I come all the way from jersey to come get my eyebrows and a Brazilian wax. THEY DO NOT DOUBLE DIP AND THE PRICES ARE PERFECT. The salon is kept up to standards with cleanliness. Gina has the best experience. If I come all the way from jersey and pay toll, then you know it worth it! I recommend this place %1000. Definitely go check it out! read more

Maldi Beauty Salon - Gina is the BEST! - Hair Removal Near Me - Flushing, New York

I have been coming to this location for a few years now, and i dont think i will ever stop. This place is by far one of the BEST eyebrow threading places in flushing. this salon has been open since 2003, not to mention the super great and friendly staff. Gina is my go to lady. She is super sweet and always takes care of me. highly recommend this place especially if you live near or just want to try a new place! read more

So I have to say I am super disappointed. After two years of coming here, I came here tonight for my monthly Brazilian wax and the girl who was doing it double dipped. That is NOT okay in my book. I immediately asked her to not do that. I'm sad because I really liked this place but because if this, I will no longer come back here. Sorry Maldi, but you are putting your customer's health at risk! read more

I come here once a month or so, but for eyebrow threading only. I've gotten underarm wax before but I noticed that they double dipped into the wax which really concerns me. I was never able to get her name but im assuming shes the owner; dark curly hair thats clipped half way and she wears glasses. She always does a clean job with my sparse brows and shapes it in a way where I can actually admire them! Although shes AMAZING, the other threaders pinch and over do the threading and I can feel the burns around the area the day after. Eyebrow threading is 5 dollars. Unbeatable, but I would only consider it a steal if you get the right esthetician. read more

I had a woman named Julie help me today. I never had professional waxing or threading done so I went in a little wide-eyed. I told her I wanted my underarms waxed and she led me to a little room in the back. Not very clean or special looking, but I guess it served it's purpose. She had me lie down but I realized afterwards that she never replaced the paper sheet on the bed before OR after I used it...So who knows how many people laid on that same sheet of paper... At first, the wax was reallllyyy hot and she noticed that I was cringing and asked if it was too hot..So she blew on the wax a little bit more so it wasn't scalding hot anymore. She did use the same piece of wax paper over and over again. I guess few stray hairs didn't come out because she started threading my armpits which was nice since she was making sure all the hair was gone. When it was finished, i noticed I was bleeding a little bit though.. I felt a little courageous so I asked for my eyebrows and upper lip threaded as well. The outcomes were great except for a little blood on my lip....I was a bit unhappy about that but I wasn't going to cry and demand why there was a spot of blood. My brows had stray hair EVERYWHERE and she just handed me a tissue to wipe them off. It took me like 5 minutes to get all the hair off my face... Overall, I'm happy that I'm hair-free and it was only $17 + 2 tip for all 3 services. But I felt like she was a bit rough with my skin and just wanted to get it over with...so I think I'm going to try a different place from now on who will be more sensitive and gentle with my skin... read more

We went for waxing, eye brow threading and hair cut and it was great! Gina was cordial and gentle and I really appreciate her warm attitude towards us.
