This is the second time I have had an issue with Republic Boot Co., and unfortunately neither matter has been resolved. The first incident occurred in 2024 when I purchased a pair of Houston Boots. My order included custom white initials on a black boot pull-up strap. The boots were delivered with the customization completed incorrectly. Republic Boot Co. acknowledged the mistake and offered to send me a boot-cleaning kit as compensation. However, I never received the kit. Despite follow-up phone calls and emails, I received no response and the matter was never resolved. The second incident involves a promotion advertised through the Shop App stating that customers who spent $600 would receive $350 in store credit. I made a qualifying purchase based on that offer, but the promised credit never appeared in my account. I contacted Republic Boot Co. twice by email seeking clarification and resolution, but more than a month later I have received no response. Because I was unable to obtain a response directly from the company, I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Office of the Attorney General. My frustration stems not only from the unresolved issues themselves, but from the consistent lack of communication and follow-through. Republic Boot Co. produces beautiful products, but in my experience, promises made to customers have not been honored, and customer service concerns have gone unanswered. Had such a great experience here getting custom boots made with my husband. The creativity and options are limitless, and the entire process was fun and relaxed. Adam R. did an excellent job walking us through every detail, answering questions, and making us feel completely comfortable. Pricing is high-end for this level of craftsmanship but very transparent throughout the process. Wait times can be several months to a year for first-timers, so plan accordingly. Some of expenses ass boots, but sometimes you got to live a little. If I really had the cash, I would go with the custom. Little disappointed sales didn't show me the 4 pairs of 10.5. Knew I was having comfort issues brought them back the next day and then I was shown the other 3 pairs. Don't know why, but in the end, I got a pair of boots from a unique manufacturer in Texas! So much nostalgia, I bought a hat too. Hope they really break in because the are killing my toes. read more

Was there for a Party and that part was Amazing!! I purchased a custom hat, but I am not really happy with it. Felt like I had a hat just pushed on me. It is too big, so they just stuck little pads in the liner to make it fit. Well, those get smushed and then the hat is big again. I felt like I did not get the time to really find my size hat I needed, and they just wanted to move on to the next person. For the Price's you are paying they should pay more attention to detail. Now I have a hat I need to have fixed to fit me correctly. Other than that, everything thing else was Great. read more

This place is meh. Extremely cool vibe and the woman who does the hat bar is really nice. I made a calendar appointment with Jake to have a pair of boots made and showed up, and he wasn't there. It was his day off and he didn't bother to let me know. Total blow-off. Didn't recognize me when I went back in for something else. Guess they didn't want my business. Such a cool true Texan boot store! Stopped by looking to pick up some new cowboy boots and was pleasantly surprised! I found a really great pair of white boots. Nathan was such a great help in finding the right boot for me. Great company that's been around for a while and they quality leather. Custom boots are an option as well. They have a wide selection in boots, accessories, hats and clothes. They offered me complimentary beer, whiskey, soda and water. Great store to check out highly recommend!!! read more

Store is beautiful and smells good- but that is all I have to say about RBC. I was not greeted once when I walked in. Mind you, the staff is large and all over the store. The mission was to purchase a custom hat from the "Hat Bar" for Rodeo Season. The walk from the door to the Hat Bar room was long- again, not greeted once. The girl who posts all over socials about her Hat Bar was there- taking care of her new puppy behind the counter instead of greeting customers. There must have been about four to five employees in and out of the Hat Bar room while I was looking and trying on hats- not one person asked if I had questions or was looking for something in particular. One other customer was already being helped. About ten minutes went by and I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. For someone who worked in luxury retail for seven years- this was a huge ding on their part. Be aware of this when shopping here. read more

I have ordered 7 boots from this place over the years. All fit like a glove. I own many boots - many different brands, but I keep coming back to Republic boots. I had the opportunity to visit in person when I was on a business trip in Houston. I received excellent service and will probably order a custom set soon. read more

Let me start by saying I have a very large collection of boots. Several pairs of full custom that I had made from a very well-known company, and I am not afraid to spend money on quality. Went to Republic Boot company to give them a try. I originally purchased a pair of In-stock Ostrich boots and had them dyed black because they only came in brown. I also had them add some rubber soles, for slip resistance because I ride/build custom motorcycles. Yes, I paid extra to have this done. Not a problem. After wearing the boots several times, they are not comfortable at all, and they squeak loudly when walking. Waste of money! I eventually went back and decided to give them a try at making me some full custom boots. I was measured and went through the full design process. I was told it could take up to 10 months to receive the boots. I paid the deposit and moved on. After about 1 month I asked about the boots and was told they had not started on them (which I was fine with). I started thinking about it and after some more thought I decided I would ask to cancel my order. I spoke to management, and they said they would allow me to cancel the order for store credit. I used a small portion of the credit on 3 belts and was going to try a couple different pairs of in-stock boots with the remainder, since there was nothing else, I was interested in. I selected 3 different pairs, but they did not have my size in any of them. I was told they were supposed to be receiving more stock by end of November. That did not happen and again I was told they would receive more stock before Christmas. This did not happen either. Still up till the date of this post 1/25/2024 they have not received stock. So now it has been several months, and they still have not received new stock. The kicker to this whole thing is that during this time of waiting on stock I received a call from Republic Boot Company telling me that they had made a mistake and the custom boots that I had canceled were made by mistake and if I was still interested, they would sell them to me. Out of curiosity went to the store 2 days later to see them and try them on. To no surprise of mine the boots were not even close to fitting me properly. They were at least a full size to large in all areas. Now, I just want the remainder of the money I'm owed returned to me so I can move on. There is nothing else that I would be interested in getting from Republic Boot Company! I do not recommend Republic Boot Company, there are several other/better places to get custom boots! read more
