The first incident occurred in 2024 when I purchased a pair of Houston Boots. My order included custom white initials on a black boot pull-up strap. The boots were delivered with the customization completed incorrectly. Republic Boot Co. acknowledged the mistake and offered to send me a boot-cleaning kit as compensation. However, I never received the kit. Despite follow-up phone calls and emails, I received no response and the matter was never resolved. The second incident involves a promotion advertised through the Shop App stating that customers who spent $600 would receive $350 in store credit. I made a qualifying purchase based on that offer, but the promised credit never appeared in my account. I contacted Republic Boot Co. twice by email seeking clarification and resolution, but more than a month later I have received no response. Because I was unable to obtain a response directly from the company, I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Office of the Attorney General. My frustration stems not only from the unresolved issues themselves, but from the consistent lack of communication and follow-through. Republic Boot Co. produces beautiful products, but in my experience, promises made to customers have not been honored, and customer service concerns have gone unanswered. I cannot recommend the company based on my experiences. It appears this lack of interest in customers, whether online or in person, is appalling.

I called and the woman asked if I wanted to exchange the boots and to bring them in. I brought them back and they said I couldn't exchange them because the bottoms had been scuffed. Inside store are regular price and the lowest I seen was $199 ranging up to $600. A custom hat shop is located inside the store as well. Customer service top tier lol Every turn I made I seen a friendly asking if I need a certain size, a socking or any help. It took a long time just to get a women's fitting room, and when we asked for help with boots and sizing, we were basically told that whatever was out was all they had. I also needed help finding boots that would work for wider calves, but we weren't given many options or much assistance. My husband was already pretty frustrated with the service at that point. Thankfully, we came across the manager, Steven, and he completely turned our experience around! He took the time to help me find the right size boots and helped with my wide-calf concerns. He also helped my husband get properly fitted for a hat. What started as a frustrating experience ended up being a great one because of Steven. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Steven is the reason we left happy and deserves recognition for his excellent customer service!

Don't judge a storefront by its cover, Montana does great work for a great price in a short period of time. He turned around two pair of boots in less than 2 months from measuring. Now we're working together with the remaining gator hide to make some belts, wallets and etc. I'm pretty snooty when it comes to boots, and I was super-impressed by his craftsmanship.
