I had to get a new roof for Solar and Greg got me relatively competitive quotes. The project was delayed multiple times due to my timeline and the weather. Greg was patient through all of this and we got it done recently. With higher SRI shingles, the home is much cooler now in the summer. We did have minor hiccups, but Renuly is actively working to get those sorted out. I also had Renuly add block framing to support extra weight from Solar Things for Renuly to improve: 1. Proactively reach out to the customer for color selection etc. 2. Make sure price is accurately charged across financing and Renuly team, I had a minor overcharge, that was immediately caught and I was written a check for 3. The workers were very professional. Something I didn't like was my buying experience. It was like buying a car. The estimator told me he was doing another job in my area, and I needed to act quickly to get the best price. He called his boss to see if he could give me a better price. He finally called me on a Saturday and gave me an even better price. I can see lowering the price if they need the work. When they tore the old roof off, they told me they saw major problems they didn't anticipate. They raised the price. What could I do? My neighbor needed a new roof and asked Renuly for an estimate. They told him the same thing about having another job in the area. They told him about the roof needing more work than they anticipated and raised the price. I had a leak from a skylight and contacted Renuly on a Sunday. They came by on Monday morning to assess the damage, provide an estimate, and temporarily caulk where the water was entering. We were expecting more rain over the next few days so I was happy they were able to create a temporary barrier until the actual repair work could commence. They came out a few days later to repair the leak permanently which included replacement of the flashing and shingles, and installation of a waterproof barrier beneath the shingles. The crew was punctual, professional, and personable. They were really good communicating what they found once the shingles and flashing were removed, and shared before and after photos of the work. We had a leak at our skylight on top of the roof. I gave 1 start for a fair price but here is some issues. 1. Both PM & Supervisor came out and did not bring a ladder, what roofing company does not have a ladder. How can you accurately price my repair without going up on the roof where the leak might be. When PM walked into our home and we showed him the leak in our kitchen he said we need a new roof. Never even looking at the roof, I had to encourage him to go up on the roof. 2. Supervisor told my wife the reason the original quote was wrong was because prices for material went up and the quote was only good for a week. Not tire at all, here is why. PM came out on Wednesday, sent me a quote on Thursday morning. On Friday morning one day later at 10:19 AM I sent a text to the PM that we wanted to go with your organization and when can they start. So prices went up and your quote is only good for less than 36 hours? 3. They had the incorrect address on both quotes. I told them after the 1st one. The listed a phone number on both quotes which was not their number it is another Roofing and Construction company from Southern California. I called them and they said they have no idea who Renuly is. They really should have someone review the quotes before you send them. 4. I sent several texts and voicemail messages to the PM and he ignored them all until Monday. Plus, he turned down the job with a text stating they were too overwhelmed. Why did you both lie to us? Had you just admitted that you mis-quoted and you wanted to come out and re-quote we probably would have said ok fair enough. 5. When the PM gave me the handwritten quote I asked him when he could start he said next week. now you are saying you are not available for another month. New date is late February. 6. On the 2nd quote they stated that they apologize for the mis-understanding. There was no misunderstanding, there was inaccurate quotes, lies, poor service and incorrect information on your part. My hope is that you take this e-mail to heart and improve your organization to provide accurate quotes and provide customer service. read more

"Sunny" was in charge of the reroofing of my house which ultimately included removing the old roof and insulation, replacing the attic insulation which was in shambles, and replacing the old roof with the new which should last for 50 years! He and his crew went above and beyond to do the best work possible which included sending pictures regularly of the old roof, insulation, and the like as they were in the various stages of replacement. I was involved in the decision-making process every step of the way. Sunny was extremely patient in explaining what and why something required replacement and also explaining how it would be done. Responsive scheduling from owner but estimator did not have info about the job, was bit rude, and quoted very high. He used a drone to look at the rooftop and based the estimate on debris and miscolored tiles. At this time I'm not sure where exactly the leak is or what is needed to fix it except for redoing an entire general area which seems vague (and expensive). read more

Our roof leaked during the big storm that hit the bay area a week ago. We needed some help right away. Renuly was the first roofer answered to my call. They came the very next day. Sunny did a thorough inspection and was able to provide a very reasonable quote. Even though they cannot fix it right away since it was still in the middle of the storm, the crew was able to come by immediately and tarp my roof to prevent further leaks. Normally the repair will take about two days. But given the strong wind and the difficulty to keep the tarp in place, Sunny and his crew managed to complete the repair in one day, so that we don't have to rely on the tarp longer. The quality of the work is top notched. Sunny is very responsive. He always answers my call or text right away. He is also very on schedule.
