In our case it was for insulation though and they were able to insulate our attics very well to help conserve energy and keep the place warmer during winter and cooler during summer. They also helped us replace an extensively damaged flat roof in a very short amount of time. The owner has been in this trade for over 20 years so they have done a variety of jobs and a variety of buildings. It's good to know a small business like this has the experience and knowledge to make a solid product - one that they put their name onto. You know you found an excellent contractor when they are proud of their work and they stand by it. It's best to find contractors who measure twice and/or even thrice and cut once.

I decided to stay with sheet metal gutters and only replace the gutters on the defective side. I appreciate that Alex didn't try to upsell me to replace all sides as others did. I felt that the Alex Gutter approach (removing 1st row of tiles, replacing the gutters, adding new roof paper, and then putting the tiles back) was the safest and most professional option for my tile roof. From the initial phone call to the gutter cleaning, Jesse and his team were on time, efficient, and thorough. While he was up on the roof, Jesse showed us where he found a few cracked tiles and explained that they weren't posing any issues yet, but we should get them repaired/replaced at some point. Since we had extra tiles lying around, he came back the following week to work on the roof. Additionally, when we asked if there was anything we could do about a few of our gutters being extra loud during the rain, he offered to come back to install some sponges that might dampen the sound of the rain hitting the gutters without blocking water flow. We decided to try his solution, and after a few days of rain, so far so good! I highly recommend Jesse and his team for any of your gutter needs!
