Driving up to Renton Laundry, what I noticed first was the junked cars on a lot next door that was surrounded by a fence topped with barbed wire. Don't let that deter you! Drive around back to the spacious rear parking lot and walk up the ramp to the rear entry. Then walk back to the office on the side facing the street where nice, patient employees will help you get set up with a prepaid laundry card using what looked a little like an ATM. insert cash or a credit card and Tell" the machine how much money to transfer from your credit card to your laundry card - and from there, you can just swipe your laundry card to get as much washing or drying time as you need. (I had a mountain of laundry but it all got in one of their huge washers - took about 35 minutes and just under $10 to get everything clean.) I didn't expect to get everything dry in roughly three nine-minute dryer cycles, (50 cents each), so take my advice and load your card on the conservative side because you can always add more value if you need it but you can't get a refund. I was impressed by the spacious layout and the wide variety and sizes of washers and many, many large dryers stacked 2-high around three sides. I only use a laundromat when we're on vacation so I'm no expert on this subject, but this place was clean and pleasant to be in, seemed safe, and the equipment worked perfectly. Wow I love this laundromat!! I recently moved to Seattle and since my apartment didn't have in-unit washers or dryers, I went around looking for a good laundromat. I tried one that was right down the street, but it was sooo run down, dirty, and more than half the machines didn't work. Today I tried Renton Laundry and WOW I'm impressed. Lots of machines to choose from ranging from double load to mega load! I was pleasantly surprised that all the machines were working and on a Saturday afternoon, it really wasn't that busy! I also found the laundry card very efficient and convenient instead of having to lug quarters around. You even get $2 free when you load $20! Bruuuuh!! I've never been more excited to do laundry. While I was here, the worker was cleaning the machines and the surrounding area. He seems very nice and friendly as well. Definitely go here for your laundry needs read more

As I mentioned in the past, Renton Laundry is one of the super clean and well attended by staff laundry in the Renton area, but yesterday I notice they changed NOT the price of the dryers but reduced the number of minutes per every dry cycle. In another word, the original price for drying was 50 cents for 9 minutes and the new change is 50 cents for 7 MINUTES?? I use to spend 8 dollars to dry all the clothes I washed, now I spent 19 dollars just on drying does not include the washing!! This is a super disappointment to me and other regulars that wash their clothes at this laundry and I complain to the management and they really couldn't give me a reason what this changed. The problem is 7 minutes doesn't even start warming up the dryer let alone drying the clothes so I caught myself adding more money because the dryer shuts off automatically after 7 minutes. For example, in 1 full dryer of clothes, I spent almost 5 dollars per load as opposed to 2 dollars and that does not include extra cost because the dryer was not drying properly. Due to the storm outside and the strong rainstorm, the dryers weren't drying properly, that happens in Seattle and other cities but give me a break! I wash my neighbor's clothes every 2 weeks since they are elderly and cannot be physically able. I been doing their wash for free for the last 5 years. But 19 dollars plus 32.50 dollars to wash ($6.50 per washing machine) is giving me second thoughts about looking for another laundromat that has a better price in drying clothes. Will never use this laundromat again. For some reason the man that works there attacked me one night and said that I did not wash my clothes there even though I was seeing several times changing my clothes out. Yes, I sit outside and watch my bike but it doesn't give me a ride to accuse me. Also, after I argued with the man for close to four different times about it, his wife started in on me and started telling me about how I didn't wash them. There again expressed to them both that I just dropped over $30 on their card and didn't appreciate being harassed. After what seemed like 30 minutes of arguing with both of them, I decided I would never attend this place again even though it was always my go-to spot. It's overpriced for one thing and it's always crowded and have to deal with that and deal with being harassed just because I was outside. Never again. I don't have to use their laundromat .. it's a choice that I make to use their laundromat for them to attack me and not listen to me. Even though I repeatedly told them I had washed my clothes. There is ridiculous. I believe they thought I was homeless because I had a backpack on. I was riding my bike. It's called saving money. Never again. I still have over $27 on my card too. I've been a customer at least 2-3x a month since they had first opened this awesome laundrymat. There is at least one employee on duty at all times. They are very helpful, respectful, and courteous to everyone who enters (that is as long as you abide by the hours posted - LOL ! : They will give you a reminder that everything needs to be done, and out the door by closing.) I never see them just sitting back watching the tv or playing on thier cell phones. They are very dedicated when it comes to the cleanliness of everything throughout this place and also for the safety of the patrons. They have zero tolerance to anyone atempting to use the property (in or outside) for anything besides laundry. They have cameras all over and I personally feel safe coming and going no matter what time of day/night it is. They have alot of washing machines in various, which does a great job of getting the clothes clean (even when I have packed alot inside of them). And as long as you don't over fill the dryers, it will dry Jean's, towels or blankets super fast and for only .50 to .75 a load ! They have tables to fold your laundry on and plenty of carts available to haul laundry from washer to dryers. The bathroom is available for patrons only and has always been clean and sanitary for our use if needed. I have used this laundry place for the past year and im very impressed. All of the attendants are friendly,helpful and keep the place clean and spotless. This is a coin less operation and uses a money card. Very up to date and love it. Great security all around and food truck outside is a plus while your doing laundry and catch a quick bite. Owners/management know what they are doing!!! Great job and keep up the great service!!! read more
