Another person came in behind me, he wasn't greeted, just sat down and waited. When it was finally my turn, I'm told they have no cars available. So I waited for nothing and needed the car for tomorrow. Won't be going back.

But register on the app ahead of time and get all your paperwork done and when you're at the desk, you can be done and out in 10-15 mins. Maria is always warm and cordial, and makes me feel welcomed, and Kory is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. I got to try Volkswagen for the first time, and Kory patiently walked me through setting up Apple Play to connect to my iPhone, how to check air pressure, and answered all my questions about the car. I really appreciate Kory being so patient and helpful, which made adjusting to a new car a breeze. I highly recommend Hertz for your car rental needs!

They do not answer the phones very often because the employees are oversaturated with customers, and while I feel for them, I was still inconvenienced by the lack of staffing and so were many other people I saw and spoke to. There is also a fee of $500 that is added at the end if you pay with debit, which is reimbursed after you return the car.. I'm not sure if that is standard procedure for car rental places but it came as an unwanted surprise for me. This review is primarily negative due to the long wait times, though.

I reserved a Full-Size car a week in advance, but when I arrived, they told me it wasn't available. Instead of upgrading me or offering a price adjustment, they tried to force an involuntary downgrade to a Standard car. When I requested fair compensation for the cheaper vehicle class, the counter agent was completely dismissive and gave me a rude "take it or leave it" ultimatum. Because I refused to be ripped off, they refused to rent to me at all. Fortunately, I booked my reservation through Costco Travel, so I wasn't charged for their failure. I walked right across the street to a competitor, who happily rented me the exact vehicle class I needed without any issues. Avis in Temecula has awful customer service and zero problem-solving skills. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. I had rented from this location for many years with the previous management without problem.

The technician that replaced the tire texted me pictures of the calipers and breaks that absolutely were not working when the van was rented to me, along with a written text stating that the van "was not to be driven or someone would be hurt or killed". I have been in contact with customer service along with many other persons who responded to my situation with rudeness and complete lack of concern for myself, my cat, and 3 dogs' lives. I reached out at the end of July as was instructed to do so via email and again was ignored. I was stuck in Arkansas for 2 extra days and lost plants that I had grown for decades along with thousands of dollars worth of wine that is irreplaceable.
