We reserved a 29' travel trailer to be delivered at South Carlsbad State Beach. We did not have a site with hookups, so we also added the generator rental. This was our first time in South CB outside of a tent and so it was a bit of a learning curve for us. The camper itself was in like-new condition. It was delivered on time and everything was ready to go when we arrived. We fumbled through a few things like "how do you turn on the water" but the Luv2Camp team was available to us via text throughout our stay. I honestly must have texted them 30 times that weekend, and each time they responded quickly. We had to have them come and dump our tanks over the weekend, which they did on short notice, on a Sunday, without hesitation. On at least one occasion during our stay, they showed up to the site just to check in and make sure everything was going ok. Our camper was great, but this company earned 5 stars in my eyes for their communication, availability, and willingness to help. If I ever need to rent a camper again, it will be with Lov2Camp...and it the site will have hookups...again, the learning curve. read more

At first, i recommended this place to people at Dohney State Beach, but after having a conversation with Krystal at Luv2Camp, i regret recommending this company. Customer service was terrible. The generator that was provided for us was not working as well as the outlets. We reached out to them Friday AM (we arrived Thursday evening) per their contract once we realized that there was an issue with the generator. They were not able to send a tech out until Saturday AM, so my dad went a bought a generator for us to use. The tech told us to reset the GCFI in the bathrooms, which we did and it did not work. As I was charged for the generator when I was told we would not be charged, I reached out to Luv2Camp to let them know and mentioned about the outlets not working and the generator, Krystal informed be to not rent at places with no hookups to avoid technical issues. So basically don't rent from them unless there are hook ups. Then proceeded to tell me that I informed them about the outlets until Friday afternoon, and I screenshotted the text message with the tech that informed them at 10:41 am on Friday. After I explained that to her, she got bothered and told me she will not engage with back and forth argument. For the price of renting a trailer and the issues that occurred, Krystal could have been a little more respectful to their customers. The tech that came out was very pleasant and super nice about it even if it took him a few minutes to figure it out. I would never recommend this place nor will I ever rent from them again. If I could it would be a zero. What a hassle and then letdown. Here's why. I had reached out by phone and email to book 7 months in advance and never got a call back. Being a teacher with toddlers I am super busy so a call could have helped. I then finally got email contact to book our date and went back and forth at least twice to find out the larger, pop out model was by then taken. I then called and emailed again to ask about a generator, which was also sold out. So I was having to book from all the leftovers and with such a huge time gap, it was disappointing since I had never used their service before. Then they sent me the forms and I completed and returned them the same day, to then realize that they never took our deposit out (3 months later). So I called, no answer and no return. So I emailed and finally got the email back saying we never sent back the forms so we don't have a reservation for our family trip that we invited extended family to. Hmmmm. I looked in my phone files and see the forms I entered the info into and yet recall sending from another work email. A call asking where the forms are if you don't see them would have been considerate since I put so much work into the process that wasn't efficient in the first place. The response received even shows that I tried emailing everytime before or after business hours because I would call 3 times throughout the day, before school hours, between teaching classes, during my lunch and after school and never get a live person to answer my calls. I then resorted to emailing, which isn't what wanted to do since a phone call can have it all done in a day. Also if you look at the owner provided information shows that I contacted you 5 days in a row, not even including the Friday prior and Sunday and emailed back and forth at least twice to 3 times each day. Who has time for that when all I wanted was one trailer of any kind for 2 nights. Then if I did contact 5 days in a row, how could any contact not just call me and say they never received my signed contract after a day, when on the phone or email I would have said I will do that right now and get it back to you. Not false and even your paper date evidence shows horrible customer service to 'not' reach out to someone that has tried for 2 weeks to book one thing. Think hotels- would I ever even book with them if the link didn't work, nope, I would have to call. That doesn't work with you guys because no person ever answers or calls back within business hours. read more

Oh my gosh, where to start! Fantastic overall experience. I rented the 31 foot trailer and had it delivered to San Elijo State Beach. The delivery was on time and the trailer and generator was set up perfectly. Instructions on how to use the generator were very clear. Easy to start and I had no problems at all. The trailer was clean and very well maintained. There was one light not working above the table, I texted them and they came out within the hour and fixed it. Communication from the company was great. They are very responsive to questions and replies are sent in a timely fashion. James, our delivery driver was on time, professional and friendly. Luv2Camp is simply the best! I've rented several RV's over the years and can honestly say that for value, quality of RV's (in this case travel trailers), and customer service, no dealer can compete with Luv2Camp!!! In fact, my family rented four trailers from them this year for our annual family camping reunion. The reservation process is quick and easy, and is mostly on-line which I like because it gives me a written confirmation of our communication(s). No mistakes or misunderstandings, and I've always received a response when I had questions. We received text messages the morning of our arrival with the time of delivery, and all 4 trailers were set up as promised and on time. This year we had an issue with one trailer. I sent Matt a text (this was noted as the correct protocol via text message when we arrived), explained the issue, and within an hour a new trailer was on its way to replace the existing one! Also, during the trailer exchange we left something very valuable in the original trailer that James helped us recover. Now that's Customer Service! As I mentioned earlier, I've rented RV's for several years and can tell you that it's not unusual for RV rental issues to take several hours and in many cases 2 or 3 days before the dealer finally commits to send someone to fix a mechanical/electrical or other issue while you are at your destination. We rented a trailer from Luv2Camp last week from Wednesday to Sunday at South Carlsbad State Beach. We had previously planned to rent from them last December but due to Covid restrictions we needed to reschedule. Krystal was so nice in assisting us with getting new dates. The process was very easy as they deliver the trailer and generator as well as pick it up and all you need to do is show up! The trailer was also terrific with a full bed as well as 3 bunk beds which accommodated us and our 3 boys. We also have friends that have been renting from them for a few years with great experiences as well. Can't say enough great things and we 100% will be using them again in the near future. read more

These folks have changed the way that we do camping forever! This was our first time camping in a trailer, after 10 years of tent camping in San Clemente, and it could not have been a better experience. First of all, the people that booked our time were really helpful and got me a trailer even though we weren't able to book until really late. Throughout the whole process they answered emails quickly and relieved a lot of anxiety about the dropoff and pickup of the trailer. They answered text messages immediately when I had questions on that day, even though it was a Sunday. And the trailer... spotless and really new feeling. It was like stepping into a brand new trailer. I think the mini kitchen sink faucet was nicer than the one I have at home! I learned that the outlets only work with the generator on, but even with the generator off the USB charging ports still worked. But the main reason for the trailer was the bathroom, and that was really clean and, although it was small due to the fact that you're in a trailer, it wasn't too small, just perfect. I am definitely using Luv 2 Camp every year, really professional and just nice people all around. read more

We have camped with them for more than 5 years probably and never had an issue. They have always responded timely and if we have had an issue at the camp they come out to fix. They are always soo friendly and make the process so easy. We always can't out in ocotillo so there isn't much around, so the one time we had a problem with a fridge they were like within a couple hours. I would recommend this to anyone not wanting to purchase a trailer and have the monthly expense but goes out and wants to camp with a trailer once or twice a year. Super bummed I cannot give a better review but I only had heat for one night out of two in my rental RV. The generator I rented from Luv 2 Camp was not charging the RV battery as it should so the heater could not run on the second night. We FROZE! Those RVs are like refrigerators when the heat is not on at night. We would have been better off in a tent the second night as it was WARMER outside than inside when we woke up. I reported the issue and it was not resolved at all. Just told everything seemed fine on pickup when tested (but the response implied I didn't even rent a generator from them - WHICH I DID AND WAS CHARGED FOR). So, in order to assure my family's comfort and for better customer service, I will be trying a different company for my next outing. For over $550 for two nights, I'd expect a little more concern. read more

Ok let's start off with the the easy payment plan until you arrive.. that's great !! Then let's get to Matt and his team , Matt coordinates and gets the RV's to your destination ... Due to COVID-19 I was forced to cancel my trip and requested to have the deposit rolled over to next planned trip. Unfortunately Luv 2 Camp would not allow me to roll the deposit over for future rentals. My deposit was nonrefundable which I lost funds. I wasn't requesting money to be returned only to roll over for next trip..... I feel Luv 2 Camp should be more considerate of the Pandemic/COVID-19. Very disappointed with LUV 2 Camp RV Rentals. I am absolutely obsessed with this company!! First off I need to shout out Matt and James who are excellent in customer service! We rented a 29ft trailer for a weekend at the beach. I booked about 5 months in advance. They were communicative from the start. Excellent at setting up a reservation, with many options. The day of our trip I was texted and given a window of drop off time as well as some other great info. When we arrived James was setting up our trailer and gave us a quick run down of how things worked. He then checked on us later in the day and the following day as well. SUPER awesome service. The inside and outside of the trailer was very clean. Had some dishes, pots, dish soap,etc. adorable lights to turn on on the outside at night... This is the way to go!! Rent a trailer with this company. I honestly can't say enough good things about the people who work for this company. Way to go Luv2Camp! We will definitely be renting from them again! read more

Last week was the second time I had rented an RV from Luv 2 Camp. Both trips were at Morro Dunes, in Morro Bay. Every step in the process, from selection of the RV, confirming the dates and completing the rental paperwork were very easy and stress-free. Everyone I had contact with at Luv 2 Camp were helpful and pleasant. Both 31' Bunkhouses I rented were newer, very clean and fully stocked with plates, cups, paper towels, utensils, cleaning items and even a coffee maker (very important!) Finally, having everything set up prior to arrival, especially after driving for 5 hours, is awesome!! So, you just unpack and start your camp trip. I highly recommend renting from Luv 2 Camp and will use them again in the future. read more

I am so pissed. First, I fill out their form, and they respond that they have 2 trailers available on my dates. When I called to make the reservation, they say that they don't deliver to my location till two weeks after I need the trailer. The office girl told me they were sorry that a new girl must have sent the email confirmation. And the owner won't change the website to reflect their policy because he might change his mind at any time! I guess he doesn't understand that you can change a website every time you change your mind/policy. This place is also overpriced! They "supposidly" have a wheelchair accessible trailer, but when I have tried to rent it, it is never available. I think I'll contact the BBB. read more

We recently rented from this company and we were completely disappointed in the quality of the trailer and customer service. There were dishes/pots that were not clean, the black water sensors were inaccurate, and the quality of everything in the trailer was subpar for what you pay for. The spatula was so cheap it wouldn't even ouch the eggs when I was trying to make scrambled eggs. It was just fold in half. If we paid a lesser amount for the trailer, I would expect that, but their per night prices are comparable to a Hilton Garden Inn without the quality or customer service. When attempting to address our concerns with the owner the day our trailer was picked up, he would not call me back. After waiting over 24 hours for a return call, I called again. He texted me back within the hour of mysecond call. This was his response, " Our policy is to verify and rectify during your stay, we are not willing to address any concerns after your stay because there is no verifying or rectifying. I'm sorry you weren't happy with our service, I'm sorry you won't like this answer, and I understand you will most likely choose not to use our service again." He also said they sent someone out to check if everything was going okay during our stay. If they did, we never saw or spoke to anyone. He's right. I will not use this company moving forward. Most of our friends have moved away from using this company and are using San Diego RV Rentals. We will go that route from now on, as I cannot support a company that charges as much as they do and feel so comfortable with providing such poor quality in their amenities and customer service. read more

During these challenging times I was very disheartened that they were one of the very few companies that did not refund the deposit back when we had to cancel due to COVID-19. Just got home from a 4 night stay at Pismo Beach. Booking the reservation was easy. The girls in the office were helpful in answering questions and responded quickly to my emails. The trailer was delivered Friday afternoon the gentlemen gave us a mini tour and explained the pump, water heater and etc. We did have an ant problem and they got to some of our snacks so we had to make a trip into town to get ant spray. Disappointed in this Company. We had a camping trip planned this week and due to the COVID-19 - coronavirus outbreak, all state parks were closed. We graciously asked for a refund for our deposit as they were unable to provide a service for us(which was more than 50% of the contract value) and they have continually denied it stating they are honoring their rescheduling policy after me sending multiple e-mails, leaving a voicemail (for which I received no call back). However, the rescheduling policy does not take into consideration a government mandate and now we are out $400 because they refuse to refund us. I refuse to work with a Company that acts unethically in a time of crisis. I have received multiple refunds from other Companies for services they have not been able to perform, Companies that I will continue to use because they behave ethically once this crisis ends. I will be reporting the Company but wanted to share with everyone. If they would have responded saying, we need a month to refund you or even 2 months, we would have graciously accepted that....it's a time of crisis and we need to work together. But to say, No, we won't refund you at all even though they were not able to perform on the contract is completely unethical. I will never utilize their services again. read more

We rented a trailer at the Colorado river for Father's Day. What a great weekend. Luv 2 Camp delivered the trailer on time. Candy and her delivery driver, Ron, were awesome. They set-up the trailer and hooked up the water, sewer, and electrical. They arrived with the refrigerator cold so we could put our stuff right in the frig and we were on the river within the hour.
