I was in and out for blood work within five minutes The phlebotomist is also very friendly and an expert in her job. There were no signs posted anywhere stating that they stop accepting walk-ins early or that they close check-ins at 2pm. The staff member who came out (a white lady) was rude and unprofessional, speaking dismissively to customers waiting in line. Here's the funny part... while I was writing this review, Yelp says they close in 42 minutes, and my phone time was 3:18pm. Seriously? Is this a joke? Who's managing this location?

When I…read morearrived at the lab, the waiting area was full and it was a challenge to find an available seat but since I was alone, i was able to get a seat. It turns out that the office only had one receptionist and one phlebotomist at the time I visited; Tracy, sole phlebotomist, did her best despite the staff shortage. So, PRO-TIP: schedule an appointment on-line because even with a room full of people, I only waited less than 20 minutes. My lab visit great, my appointment was useful and the service was friendly and professional. Overall, it was a good visit.

Definitely nice to make an appointment in advance online, but unlike most centers I've gone to previously, this one was running behind, and my name was called about 10-15 minutes after my appointment time. The waiting room was a bit depressing. I highly recommend the option to wait in your car when you check in. I would have done that, but I didn't realize the wait time would be so long with an appointment. The room where the blood draw is taken had loud machines running, which was a little unexpected. The technician was nice, and the needle poke was quick, but the blood draw itself was uncomfortable. I had hydrated and the whole process was very quick, but as soon as the needle was out, my arm hurt more than usual and I had immediate bruising in the area, again unusual. Not the best experience overall, but not the worst either. TIP: If you want an early morning appointment (especially if you're fasting), make your appointment at least a week in advance.

I went to Quest Diagnostics yesterday to provide a sample and was shocked by the condition of the…read morepatient bathroom. There were no paper towels and, even more concerning, no soap available to wash my hands. This is a healthcare facility where patients are providing urine and other specimens. Basic handwashing supplies should be non-negotiable. The absence of soap in a restroom used by patients raises serious sanitation and infection-control concerns. I expect much better hygiene standards from a medical laboratory. This needs to be addressed immediately and procedures should be in place to ensure patient restrooms are routinely checked and properly stocked.

Upon entering, there were about 4-5 people ahead of me with appointments, so obviously those people were seen first and then several people came in after right after me. I jump to the counter and ask if I could check in. She pointed to a little screen on the far side of room. Then walked away. There is no sign or any indication that I had to check in electronically. When I arrived, there were 6 people in the waiting room. Now 25 min later, there were 5 people. More people came in at 9:45 am. I can see why they have a low star rating. Not about customer service here. Aetna requirements to lower insurance is to have a Wellness check and Aetna made the appointment for me. They Definitely should not use this office again. Now 9 people in waiting room. Only one guy called back and he left already. I was called back before quite a few of the other people waiting. Probably because I had an appointment as they do take walk-ins. After I was called back, I saw they were only two workers. One of the girls said she was going on break, and left the office. Teresa was the phlebotomists and it did take her quite a while to enter in all my information. But was originally a one star review, got bumped up because she was very good at her job. I understand that there Was no time for pleasantries. She said Fridays they are usually really busy. But she was pleasant enough as well as. I give Teresa five stars. I didn't even feel that needle she inserted to take five blood test tubes. For the wellness check she had to get my blood pressure, waist measurements etc. once all of my information was put in, she was very efficient. Definitely a professional. As for the post Covid work shortage, maybe that has hit this place, however, i'm sure they could handle more office work. I don't know, it just seems that the faster they get people through, the more people they can have, the more money etc.... Anyway. Hopefully I don't have to come back here.

I have been a patient at Reno Diagnostic Centers for many years and previously received reliable…read morecare. While some staff members continue to provide excellent service, my recent experiences highlight several areas that need improvement. Scheduling and communication issues have become a significant problem. My doctor ordered both a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. During my initial attempt to book the appointments, the first representative was inflexible and insisted I use a different location instead of the Sierra Rose site I requested. On the day of my appointment, I waited more than 30+ minutes past my scheduled time only to learn that the appointment order had been changed without notice. The sonographer performed the ultrasound first, found everything clear and benign, and, after review by the onsite doctor, recommended canceling the mammogram. The sonographer was very professional and thorough; however, the issues were clearly outside of her control. This was a front office and scheduling problem. The overall coordination was poor and confusing. Compounding the frustration, I received a follow-up call the next day informing me that I still needed to schedule the mammogram. This was especially stressful and confusing, as it directly contradicted the previous day's assessment and my doctor's original orders. For the next couple of days, RDC continued calling me persistently about scheduling a follow-up mammogram. The representatives had difficulty communicating clearly, and the calls ended without resolution. I'm also unsure whether it is standard practice to override a doctor's order for a diagnostic mammogram when one was performed within the prior 30 days. Additionally, as a self-pay patient, I was charged a 3% interest fee on my credit card (waived only for cash or check). This practice feels inconsistent with industry standards and adds unnecessary burden to patients. In today's largely cashless society, this feels like an unnecessary burden on patients. Medical practices can typically deduct these fees as business expenses, making it preferable for the office to absorb them rather than pass them on to loyal self-pay customers. It appears the center has undergone an acquisition, and many team members seem to be in training. These changes appear to have impacted service consistency and communication quality. I requested to speak with a manager and sent a follow-up email, but I have not received any response. I hope management will address the scheduling processes, staff training, coordination with referring physicians, and billing policies so that Reno Diagnostic Center can restore the high level of care it was once known for. This review is intended to help bring these issues to their attention.
