NOT TRUTHFUL WITH ME - BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE…read more Unfortunately, I had rated them five stars...until I left after several months. I had been out of the country and, after a long drive home, got home from the airport at 2:00 in the morning. I called Anchor's Office Manager and said, "I know today is the last day of the month, but can you pro-rate me one day so I can come in this weekend?" He said they don't pro-rate charges, but for just one day, they wouldn't charge me if I vacated first thing in the morning. I DID...AND A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER I LEFT, THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR A FULL MONTH ANYWAY. Had I known they were going to be untruthful, I would have left the car there for the month! Instead, I paid a full month's rent for a vacant spot that they rented out. I asked the Office Manager to email his supervisor's contact information to me, which he agreed to, but never did. THIS LEFT A VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. This was a very bad customer experience.

Everyone I had contact with was professional and friendly and super helpful. My first unit was too small and I realized that after I saw it in person, luckily they had the bigger one available and I was able to pivot there. Place is clean, easy to get in and out of and I think the biggest plus is that it's safe. It's in a great area, and I never had issues with pets (two legged OR four legged kinds) I'd definitely recommend, keeping in mind it's a little off the beaten path if you don't mind that.

The safety factor and low price drew us to them even though there are many other places available to us closer to home. The gated and fenced in area require a pass code to get in and out. Tall fences have barbed wire, motion sensors, and am told the keepers have monitoring cameras in their house. During any snowstorms the ways are kept plowed should you need to get to your RV. When someone goes to their RV you can expect to see the friendly on site person drop by on his golf cart for a chat and to make certain no hokey pokey is going on. RAT INFESTED: say goodbye to your belongings that you paid too much to store in the first place…read more Nota bene: The high ratings for this place were for a time when the storage units were under previous ownership, and the previous, awesome owners have been replaced by the rentier bourgeois of the worst kind. This used to be the best storage unit in Reno--it was the most affordable, the staff was very friendly, and it was convenient to pay online. Unfortunately, it was sold about a year ago to new owners based out of Roseville. They jacked up the prices by 25%, they ask you to pay by check (as if it's 1995), and only recently did they make payment by Paypal available (for a $3/month fee!). The units are infested with rodents, to which the new owners respond by telling tenants to set mouse traps. There is no lighting provided in the units, either. Oh, and there isn't a dumpster anywhere in sight. Just to be clear, these new owners raised the rates to a ridiculously high amount, they instituted a fee to pay online (the previous owners did not charge you for paying via Paypal), the units are rodent infested (but the elevated rates don't help this matter in the least), there is no lighting in the units, and there's nowhere to put your trash. All the new owners care about is collecting your money, full stop. DO NOT RENT HERE. They might argue that they've used the increased rents to pay for a keypad gate system (instead of paying an actual employee to work there). Granted, this is a step up from the goon they had walking around harassing tenants to verify that they were up to date on payments. Extremely intrusive. Bottom line: this place is the *worst*, the owners are greedy, exploitative, and your belongings will be ruined by rodents.

What made it even better was the friendly on-site staff and convenient location to the Budget Truck rental depot as well as other important post Burning Man stops. Update for 2014: Linden Mini Storage is actually a UHaul dealer so you can sort out storage and transport all from one Burning Man friendly place.

I had one guy actually cussing and swearing that I came to see him when at 5:45pm and they closed at 6pm. I saw this little dot on my yelp map outside of town and away from everything else so I decided to give them a shot. The day I drove up there I was greeted by the most beautiful house and gated storage facility I had ever seen. My biggest concern was the cost for a unit since the place was so nice. My 10ft by 12ft unit is $90/month. I pay $190 in the Bay Area. The lady in the office is most personable and told me all about their business. It's family run and it is the best place hands down in Reno. They are secluded, well secured, friendly, and the rates cannot be beat. The units are worth much more than they are charging. If people knew about this place it would put most of the other places put of business. Definitely go see them and stop looking.
