Extremely stoked I found this shop. Damyan the shop extraordinaire was extremely transparent with me the entire time my beloved Subie was with him! I wasn't sure exactly what had caused everything to happen so upon diagnosis he kept me up to date with anything they had found and I never once felt taken advantage of which is huge to me. He's extremely knowledgeable and advised on upgrading certain parts that were almost identical in price but much more reliable so I wouldn't be back in the shop for that same issue again. All in all what an awesome unexpected automotive experience to have been through. I found these fine gentleman after some research online when my 2016 WRX was having problems after a handful of mods and miles. Of course we come to find out that the innards of the FA20 platform aren't quite built for power like its predecessors and sure enough I had cracked some pistons and blew some rings. Peter and Damyan and the crew were honest, transparent and thorough during the whole process. They rebuilt the ole gal better than ever. They treat each car as if it were there own and are true enthusiasts at heart. I drive to Carson now for even the simplest of things because when it comes to our race cars, there is nothing more comforting than a mechanic who cares (and knows there way around your car). I especially appreciate the fact they took the time to look at my car and go over thing like if my car was a race car and worth a million bucks which by no means it is. DO NOT TRUST THE PEOPLE WORKING HERE! If they can tell that you may not fully understand what's going on with your car they will rip you off! Take someone with you who is mechanically inclined so that they don't take advantage of you. Or just go somewhere else. I had a vacuum leak and coolant leak. They charged me $200 to do a smoke test and stop the coolant leak but did neither. Just be careful when coming here. The dude at the front desk will smile to your face knowing he's about to get money out of uniformed you. read more

Took my 2011 WRX in yesterday to find a boost/vacuum leak. I recently had a new engine installed (unfortunately Not by Renner). My accessport showed it was possibly a solenoid line issue. They ran a smoke test to check for any and all leaks which I was happy about because of all the recent work. It was a simple fix and they had me on the road within an hour. They didn't try and up-sell, they were honest and very knowledgeable. I've always wanted to go to them for work... they are just about 60 miles away from me. Just had my Mk1 VW Rabbit engine rebuilt by Renner Racing Development - this after they already retrofitted a later generation 02A transmission to my car's early block (see my previous Nov. '16 review). At risk of being very repetitive, Peter and Anthony did an excellent job and for more than a reasonable price. Prior to the rebuild, was burning oil and coolant presumably from poor rings, valve seals, seats, bogus head casket, etc. - the usual suspects. After the rebuild, the engine wants to accelerate, is noticeably energetic, gas mileage is much improved and nothing is burning. Of course, this is what you'd expect from a quality rebuild. What I didn't expect was the efficiency of how quick it was done - with no discerning calls about 'difficulty finding parts,' etc. In short, it seems there really is nothing you can't throw at these guys. Much appreciation to them and their shop. Despite a focus on Subarus, VW owners should consider this location on their short list of trustworthy mechanics. Thanks Guys. read more
