Damyan is a top notch professional and will go above and beyond to take care of you and your Subaru's needs. When my engine needed to be rebuilt, Damyan and the team fought tooth and nail with the warranty providers to get the most we could for the engine rebuild all while trying to take out most of the coverage I would have to pay out of pocket. Renner Racing Development is a great repair shop for any and all Subarus. They've been servicing my wife's 2017 Subaru Outback Limited (FB 25, non-turbo) for the past 5+ years. In my experiences with them, everyone is very knowledgeable and proficient with basic maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs. They've done simple jobs like oil and filter changes, brakes, spark plug replacements, throttle body cleaning and radiator flushes, but they've also swapped out the transmission cooler and replaced suspension components. Needless to say, they've done a lot for our car. More importantly, I have confidence in them to take care of the car that takes care of my wife. If you have a Subaru and you're in the South Bay, you should definitely give them a call. read more

I brought my 2013 Subaru WRX to Renner Racing Development with a blown head gasket and an engine that was clearly on its way out. At that point, I was genuinely concerned the car might be done for. This was the first car I ever purchased, so walking away from it wasn't something I was willing to accept. Renner thoroughly evaluated the engine and ultimately performed a complete engine rebuild. Throughout the process, they were transparent, knowledgeable, and clearly understood the EJ platform inside and out. This wasn't a quick patch or shortcut repair--it was done the right way. The result speaks for itself. The car now runs better than it did when I originally bought it from the dealership. Throttle response, smoothness, and overall confidence in the car are night and day compared to before. It truly feels like the car was brought back to life. They did a fantastic job on my 2013 Crosstrek and brought it back to life. This place is honest on what needs to be done. Dealership told me things needed to be done that were not true. Other mechanics didn't fully understand the workings of a Subaru engine, such as you should never put water in the radiator to top it off and you should be using 30 on the engine oil, not 20, to get the most life out of your engine. I had taken it to the dealership for little things here and there and not once was I told the differential fluid should be changed out every 30K miles. Got a Subaru, go to Renner Racing for all your repairs. read more

LONG overdue, but I do love having Renner as the primary shop for my WRX. They're been honest, straightforward, trustworthy in all the times I've been here, and they definitely stand behind the work they do. Also they take the time to explain their recommendations, and have never been pushy with me in terms of getting parts or services performed. I've referred almost all of my Subaru driving friends here and they all have been positive as well. Even after moving pretty far away and returning the car to stock I still keep coming back for regular maintenance and repairs, and I plan to do so as long as I have the WRX. read more

Came here with a broken 2014 WRX and a hopeless heart. 6 wks later I left with a new RA block, rebuilt head, reinforced firewall, some IAG oil swag, and my heart filled with new dreams. Damyan and the rest of the team at Renner Racing Development are very helpful. I have been here a couple times before, and recently, my clutch went bad. Having a 2014 manual transmission Subaru Outback (somewhat rare), I didn't want to chance it with a non-Subaru specialist, and wasn't really considering a dealer. That they specialize in higher-end Subaru mods gives me assurance that they can handle my clutch replacement easily. I emailed them my quote request on Monday, but decided to just show up later that day; the clutch was on its last legs. Staff got Damyan on the phone and they went thru a rough cost estimate. Next day Damyan sent a very reasonable quote, followed with a phone call. They found a couple other drivetrain-related maintenance issues (various leaks...car has over 150k miles with no previous major repairs) and added scope was reasonable. It is Thursday and I'm about to pick up the car. 5 stars for speedy customer service. That they are open till 6pm and near public transit seals the deal, as they're centrally located in SoCal, near major freeways and accessible. read more

These guys saved my weekend. I incorrectly installed my brake lines. On the way to the track a wheel rubbed a hole in my brake line. No brakes! Fortunately I was able to safely come to a stop. I had the car towed to Renner Racing. No appointment and I had zero relationship with Renner. I have a '24 BRZ with aftermarket Bembos on it: not easy parts to find. Renner FOUND the parts and had the car ready to go before end of business. I picked up the car. Drove directly to the track and had a great time. I give Renner two thumbs up! read more

I am so stoked that I get to say this shop works on my vehicle. We've had Subarus in my family since 1985. Actually right now every member of my immediate family drives one. I had been told about Renner a few years ago from someone who I trust when it comes to anything Japan/JDM etc auto related. I've been through...a lot with this car. I'll keep it forever. Frankly, as nice as the people were at my dealer, and I'd been meaning to make this jump for a while...the work, the attention to detail, the care, the honesty etc, there's no comparison at all. I didn't feel confident in the car anymore, when I spoke to Damyan on the phone for the first time, I expressed that to him and he assured me they'd inspect and check everything. Now, a lot of people say that, but when someone who is part of a 30-plus year family history of Subaru wizardry says that, it hits a lot differently. And I can also confidently say it was worth the drive. Both times I've been down so far have been routine service/fixes, Damyan is so attentive and patient and listens...To every single person in the door. It's really cool to see he and his father run this awesome shop. All this shop handles is Subarus. They'll do anything from an oil change to a fully built carbon bodied 22b derived beast race car. The walls are covered with all kinds of racing awards and history etc, it's just a really top end very experienced crew here. It was all done while I waited too, which even though it's a bit of time, still less than dealer scheduling. It just feels really nice to trust a shop and the people running it. read more

My first visit was for a pre purchase inspection. I dropped my car off and had it back by early afternoon the same day. Damyan and the rest of the team at Renner Racing Development are excellent guys. Damyan is a pleasure to work with and answered all of my million questions as this is my first Subaru. Now back for my second visit today, they will be working on my reliability mods. This includes an air oil separator, oil pickup tube, baffle and windage tray. This also includes a new radiator and cylinder four cooling mod. Damyan and his team might have all this completed by Monday which is Memorial Day. These guys are awesome and dedicated workers as I assured them that they can take their time. But to work on a holiday weekend, to me that is excellent service and dedication. All I can say is that if you have a Subaru and need any work done, whether it's routine maintenance or getting your car ready for the track, there is no other shop that I would take my WRX to. I highly recommend this shop and I will continue to go to this shop for anything I need done to my Subaru WRX. read more

Had a head gasket replaced , when I got the car back you could eat off the engine bay it had been so cleaned up. Everything went as expected fortunately the damage did not go catastrophic . I didn't see any bubbles anywhere so that is good. What's interesting is that Wrap Clinic does not have any signs outside or in front of their garage. Initially I couldn't find their business. I had to ask inside the gates to find the business. Getting your car into the garage is scary, there's barely any space in the drive way. Really loved doing business here. My wife was in a car accident in June 2020. She was rear ended by cargo truck. Damage as seen in the first picture below. When I took the car to J&R, they said that they were able to do the repair and matching colors of parts to the car is Juan's specialty. The repair was done at a reasonable time considering Covid and supply chain issues in California and America in general. And Laura was great in communicating and updating us on the repair. The second picture below is post-repair. I highly recommend J&R. Great service, great communication, and great repair. I will come back for any future auto body repairs. The service I came in for specifically was for Apple CarPlay unit with a physical volume knob in my 2014 Honda Civic, which isn't always easy to find. They went out of their way to source one, and the installation went smoothly. Good value too- this is definitely not something I could have tackled on my own. The shop itself has a great waiting area with free WiFi, plus water and snacks while you wait. Staff was friendly and professional across the board. I had some time this weekend, so I stopped by Audio Motorsports to get some advice and ended up just doing the install, since they could do it now, and the price they offered me was great. Nick was an excellent salesperson; he's an old-school guy with a deep history and knowledge of audio, and he helped me get off the fence with the different brands and boxes I was researching. I was originally looking at some subs for under the seat, but ended up getting a Kicker sub with Nick's advice, since he said under-the-seat subs aren't that great and, for the same price, a boxed sub with an amp will sound better. The installation took about an hour and a half, and you can either wait in-store or at a few nearby plazas to eat and wait. The install itself was clean and professional. Overall, loving the bass. I might be back soon if I upgrade the stock speakers in my ride to improve mid- and high-frequency clarity. On another note, I didn't know they also do tinting. Nick offered a good deal, but it's too bad I just recently had my tint done elsewhere. If I had known, I would have saved some money on my tint by doing it at Audio Motorsports.

Alexa and the online team was super helpful right away -- we went back and forth on options, and they even helped me with a military discount and a price match, which I really appreciated. When I arrived at the shop, I met Adrian, the assistant manager, along with an amazing crew -- Andreas, Nicholas, and Rokkie. From the moment I walked in, the energy was professional, efficient, and welcoming. Andreas handled a lot of the hands-on work, and you could tell immediately that he takes pride in doing things the right way. The whole team worked smoothly together, kept me informed, and had me in and out right on schedule. They even shine your wheels up afterwards, and bag up your good tires, and store them in the car for you! This is where Andreas went above and beyond! Although, everything went well throughout my experience. There was a small hiccup when the original tires I ordered didn't arrive on time, but this is where the customer service truly stood out. Adrian initially offered to upgrade me to a higher-tier tire at the same price, which I thought was incredibly fair. After thinking it over, I realized I wasn't too familiar with that particular tire brand, and I asked if there were any other options. Instead of brushing me off, Adrian took the time to walk me through alternatives and personally recommended the Goodyear brand -- a name I know and trust. He explained everything clearly and honestly, and then said something that really stuck with me: if I could put in a little more money, he'd meet me in the middle. And he absolutely kept that promise. Because of the delay, they worked with me on the pricing, came down to make it reasonable, and helped me land a great deal on a quality set of Goodyear tires without having to pay some outrageous price. It felt fair, transparent, and genuinely customer-focused -- which is rare these days. I left not only with excellent tires, but with the feeling that I was truly taken care of. Huge thanks to Adrian, Andreas, Nicholas, and Rokkie for going above and beyond and turning a potential inconvenience into a positive experience. I was in a hurry so after they told me the service was done, I left without checking. 2 days later, I saw one of my hubcaps roll off my tire. I pulled over and picked it up and saw that 2 of the tabs that hold it in place where broken. I sent a review about the service and received a call back immediately. I was told they would help me find one that matched, not taking responsibility of course, but at least they offered some help. Unfortunately I never heard back from the rep. If you decide to accept any service from this place, make sure you check that everything is okay before you drive off.
