10 out of 10 recommend EV Repair. I had an emergency mechanical issue on a Sunday and couldn't find any mechanic to help. I reached out to EV Repair and Marty not only helped with my issue immediately, he was amazing to work with. He fixed my car, and it's running great. If you're looking for a great, honest, and fair mechanic, I would definitely recommend Marty. read more

Mara's from EV Auto Repair really knows his stuff and he's friendly and easy to work with. If you have an electric vehicle that needs a repair he's your man! I had a long running ghost in the machine issue with my 2018 Prius C affecting a bunch of electrical systems. The rearview camera would get static, or wouldn't turn on at all but the audio source controls on the same display would sometimes work when the rearview camera didn't. Other times neither would work and still other times both would work perfectly. Sometimes the car wouldn't shift into reverse or drive on the first try, but other times it would shift into gear right away. My regular shop didn't handle electrical issues and the electrical place the recommended didn't service EVs, and the dealership wanted to keep the car for hours. So, I brought the car to Maras at EV Car Repair - he made time for me before he left on vacation and he diagnosed and fixed everything quickly while I waited for $80 + the cost of the part. They also work really late which makes getting your car fixed even easier. He was open until midnight the day I went so I didn't have to rush back after my trip to AutoZone. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

The mechanics park their cars in surrounding neighborhoods with no consideration for the neighbors. Received my car back with scratches and broken glass because they did this. read more

Absolutely amazing experience! I brought my Audi Q8 to this shop after it sustained damage on the side. Not only did they take care of the bodywork, but they also resolved some underlying mechanical issues--all in one place. It gave me real peace of mind knowing the car didn't have to be moved from shop to shop. What really stood out was their communication. They kept me updated throughout the entire process, walking me through each step and explaining where things stood at every stage. This is a true 10/10 shop. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The work was completed quickly, professionally, and at a very fair price. Thank you, team--you're the best! read more

Buyer paid for a pre purchase inspection and the mechanic tried to sell her his own cars instead. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. We brought our Prius here so the potential buyer could pay for a pre purchase mechanical inspection and hybrid battery inspection. The results were actually very positive. The mechanic confirmed the car was in excellent condition and that the hybrid battery was in great shape. For context, our asking price for the vehicle was below the recommended Kelley Blue Book value, which is the standard reference most people use when pricing used vehicles. However, instead of sticking to the inspection we paid for, the mechanic (a tall, very thin man working there) inserted himself into the price negotiation between us and the buyer. He asked what we were selling the car for and then told the buyer we were "way overcharging" and that he could find the same car for a third of the price. He even made the ridiculous claim that for the price of our Prius you could buy a Tesla Model 3, which is simply not accurate for comparable vehicles and only added confusion for the buyer. That is completely inappropriate. We paid for a professional inspection, not for him to sabotage a private sale. What made this even worse is that after undermining the sale, he began promoting vehicles from his own shop to the buyer. At that point it became obvious there was a serious conflict of interest. The same person being paid to inspect our vehicle was actively steering the buyer away from it and toward cars he had available. The shop itself also had numerous partially disassembled vehicles and EVs scattered throughout the property, which only made the situation feel even more questionable given what had just happened. Because of his interference, the buyer became nervous and ultimately backed out of the purchase. A mechanic's job during a pre purchase inspection is simple: report on the condition of the vehicle. It is not their role to interfere in negotiations or push their own vehicles on the buyer. If you are considering bringing a vehicle here for a pre purchase inspection, be aware of this behavior. What should have been a neutral inspection turned into a mechanic actively interfering with a private sale for his own benefit. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

They fixed my issues with my catalytic converter and engine. I highly recommend Marat and Dimitri.

I had my transmission replaced at EV Repair in Los Angeles. They diagnosed my original transmission as faulty and sold me a replacement with a 1-year warranty. Right after the repair, I noticed the same noise, but they insisted it was caused by the engine camshaft gear. Later, in Chicago, another certified shop opened the transmission and found metal debris in the oil, confirming internal damage. I had to pay again to repair the faulty transmission they sold me. The noise disappeared after the proper repair. Despite the warranty and clear evidence, EV Repair refused to take responsibility. I've already filed complaints with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, BBB and another departments. Avoid this shop if you want honest diagnostics and service. read more

After taking it to many different "mechanics" and shops, I found this one. I've built cars for over 20 years and am able to spot scammers. EV Repair did everything correct. OEM parts, picture and video updates, and excellent price. It's very hard to find this type of car service these days. You want a job correctly done, give them a call. read more

Bill was fantastic he was very prompt and with answering my texts. His pricing is very reasonable.

Cherry picked the issues I wanted dealt with. Some they just didn't to do and some they left half done and ignored me when asked when they planned to come back and finish the job. It was like they had my money and they were done with me. Nice guys, I'm just saying, beware. read more

Affordable, responsive, fast turnaround. Replaced timing chain on a GMC Canyon truck. Much better quote than anyone else and did everything as promised. Extremely pleased. Thank you Dimitry! read more

They were great, helped me that day. Price seemed hair. These are my guys to fix my Tesla..

Our Nissan Leaf would not restart after shutting off while charging twice. First time took it to the dealership and it was a total waste of $300, because after they "fixed it", it happened again. Took it to EV Repair and for a third of the price Alexei and Dmitry cleared the codes that were preventing the car from restarting and confirmed that it's probably due to the charger we've been using which made total sense since both times it was charging when the problem occurred. Would definitely come back and highly recommend to anyone with an EV car who doesn't wanna get ripped off by the dealer. read more

Super efficient and easily accessible, great service. I messaged through Yelp about a tire pressure issue and they comp'd the assessment because everything was good to go! I drove somewhat far to get here, but it was worth for the peace of mind after they checked my car. read more

I was driving going home when my check engine light came on so I pulled over and went on yelp and saw this shop by my house. I called them and they said they were open so I told them I would be there soon I pulled in there garage and told them my engine light is on they checked my engine and told me they have to order 3 things for my engine accumulating to over $500 I asked if I would be safe driving they said I would, he told me he would order the parts and to come back tomorrow when i get off work and would call me to confirm. They never called so my girlfriend told me about the mechanic she uses, I wanted a second opinion anyways so I went there and they did a diagnostic free of charge and told me the reason is because of my gas cap not locking in place so I went to auto zone got a new cap and the engine light never came on again. This place is a fraud. They tried to hustle me and will probably do the same to you. I never leave reviews but had to because of this experience. If you want to find a legit place stay clear of this place! read more

I need a synthetic oil change for my car. So I searched for a shop nearby. Their oil change quote through Yelp is more expensive than from a Toyota dealership. I'll go to a Toyota dealer and have an oil change with a free tire rotation and safety check read more

Nice job doing bearings assembly . No fancy waiting room but all that matters is he does the job well

prices are three times higher than in neighboring services, I left them a lot of money, although I could make it much cheaper. They also didn't solve the problem with the repair, the car wasn't repaired in 1 week, although another service solved everything in a day read more
