So I take it in to Torrance Motors without an appointment and ask if they could take a quick look at it to verify it is still safe to drive, as we had a long upcoming trip in a few days. They right away put it up on the lift and verified that it was safe to drive. However, the control arm, tie rods and bushings (leaking grease) were shot. Showed me the pictures and it was a mess. This level of repair was not cheap...but it was reasonable. No more complaints from my wife...at least about the car.

The alignment was slightly off at first, but they told me to bring it back and got it dialed in perfectly the following day. They stand behind their work and even told me to come back if anything needed to be re-torqued after the suspension settled. The results came out great. The stance looks much better with the factory rake reduced, and the ride quality still feels smooth and OEM-like. No noises, vibrations, or issues afterward. The vehicle drives straight and handles great. Professional service, quality work, and solid communication throughout the process. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a clean leveling spacer install done right.

A second licensed repair facility later identified that a vacuum/breather hose in the same repair area was not properly connected, along with other concerns that could not be safely corrected due to an overtightened bolt. I attempted to resolve the issue directly, but was not able to reach a resolution and ultimately had to escalate the matter. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with repairs here.

I became upset, since I had been dealing with his bad attitude since I walked in and he was trying to rip me off. Inimmediately walked away and I said "You have a bad attitude by the way." To which he replied "Me?!" And I said "Yeah, you dip$h*t." Granted, I was a little rude but mostly because I wanted to get my car fixed for the price he gave me in the estimate. Flash forward a couple hours later, after fixing my car myself, I left a bad Google review for this guy so that people know he is a scammer. Well he replies and makes up a whole story about how I was cussing him out for a long time and interupting other customers. His story in the review had several contradictions in it and he must have realized it, since he deleted it or challenged my review via the system. After reviewing the other reviews, it appears clear to me that he is manipulating the Google system for a better rating. Definitely avoid if you do not know about auto repairs. Strange scamming behavior.

Recently, I needed to replace the evaporator core and expansion valve for my A/C, and the dealership quoted me almost twice what JAC did. Since it was such an expensive repair, I decided to give JAC a try, and I'm so glad I did. The first thing that impressed me was the size of the shop. They have multiple service bays, not just in the main area but in another section as well. More importantly, the customer service was outstanding. Whenever I called with a question, Kevin didn't have someone else relay the information--he got on the phone himself and kept me updated every step of the way. When the replacement part they received turned out to be defective, they handled it quickly and made it right without any hassle. Another thing I really appreciated was the complimentary rides to and from my home while my car was being repaired. Maria and Mario were both incredibly kind. Maria mentioned she had recently joined JAC after working as a parts driver for another company, and she had nothing but positive things to say about the people there, which spoke volumes to me. Then, over the weekend, while driving to Orange County and finally enjoying my cold A/C, I started hearing a strange wind noise coming from my convertible top. I thought maybe a seal had come loose, but when I got home and looked under the car, I discovered my engine splash shield had torn loose and was scraping the road. I called JAS right away, and they immediately contacted the parts department, ordered the replacement, and took care of it quickly. I want to thank the entire team. From Kevin, Roger, and Dan to Maria and Mario, everyone I dealt with was professional, honest, and genuinely helpful. It's hard to find a repair shop you can trust, but I can honestly say I trust JAC. They may not give your vehicle a courtesy wash before you leave, but if you're saving $$ is it really worth it? If you're looking for a great place to have your vehicle serviced, I highly recommend giving them a try.

I was so relieved and thankful that I found a place I could trust that would not take advantage of me. So grateful that I've found my "go to place" for our vehicles! From my very first phone call, I had a great experience. I called on a Thursday, and they were able to get me in the very next day. The receptionist was friendly, welcoming, and made the entire scheduling process incredibly easy. When I dropped my car off on Friday, I explained the steering concerns I'd been experiencing. They listened carefully, assured me they would thoroughly inspect everything, and later that afternoon called to let me know they expected to have the car ready by Monday. What impressed me the most was their honesty. After inspecting my car, they told me they couldn't find anything that needed to be replaced regarding my steering concerns. They easily could have recommended unnecessary repairs, and I never would have known the difference, but they chose to be honest instead. That kind of integrity is hard to find. They also performed a wheel alignment, topped off my tire pressure, and even identified a completely separate issue that will need attention in the future. They gave me a quote for that repair without any pressure or sales tactics. To top it all off, my final bill was nearly $200 less than I had originally expected. Finding a mechanic you can genuinely trust is rare, and I feel like I found one. Roberto's Auto Repair has earned a customer for life. If you're looking for honest people who do quality work and treat customers with respect, I can't recommend them enough.

Herbert was a big help for me with getting my 2016 Honda accord touring fixed. I had taken it to…read moremultiple mechanics AND the dealer, and no one could tell me exactly what my issue was and just be straight with me. I had an emissions system issue that gave me the code 'P0139'. The first mechanic I took it to last year told me that it was a simple o2 sensor issue (rightfully so considering the code I was getting), yet when he replaced the sensor, the light continually came on. So he replaced it again, and replaced another o2 sensor on the vehicle (according to him). When none of that worked, he told me that my catalytic converter was faulty, and that I was going to have to pay roughly 8k for a new one. Safe to say I didn't believe him, nor did I stick around and simply take his word for it. I started making calls and, at first, genuinely believed that I was going to have to come up with the 8k by summer 2026 (when my smog inspection was due). I thought at one point I was sold a faulty vehicle too and even tried to receive compensation for the error. Turns out that wasn't the case, and even if it was, there wasn't much I could about it anymore. I took it to others who quoted me ridiculous prices for a simple diagnostic, I took it to others that just simply couldn't tell me what was wrong, and then to make things more confusing, the light would go on and off and would even go off long enough for me to pass smog!!! (Even though the first guy I went to said my catalytic converter was bad). Then, I looked online and found Master Tech. Great reviews, great location in the South Bay (Torrance), and fair pricing. Diagnostic was about 160, which would go toward repairs if needed, and if they couldn't find the issue I'd pay zero dollars! When I first got there, already Herbert pointed out things no mechanic pointed out before. I was told and under the impression that all my sensors were new and changed... they weren't. He also informed me that my vehicle was an American built one (not Japanese or Canadian, which I heard can make all the difference in quality). That's information that, although wasn't a huge concern, let me know that this guy paid attention to detail and really cared about what he was doing. He then told me to leave it with him later on in the week so he could give the vehicle TLC (tender love and care), and to be comfortable with not having my vehicle for a couple days (wasn't a problem at all). Eventually he gets back to me after a day and lets me know that the sensor had to be changed out with an oem one, as the previous mechanic put in an aftermarket one. On the day that I picked the car up and paid for the install, we both hopped in and took it for a ride, and the engine was running smooth like butter now. No more rich running (causing my gas to burn faster), and no more harsh shifting. He then hands me over the old sensor and informs me that I should go get my money back from the other mechanic. It turns out, the other guy was trying to screw me over (surprise, surprise!), whereas Herbert was honest and righteous. The piece the other mechanic put in was a Bosch sensor, made specifically for German made vehicles. Smh. It was for VOLKSWAGENS and the like ONLY. He was just trying to get me to pay him thousands, and perhaps allow me to further damage my engine and transmission from the issues he was forcing my vehicle to go thru for the time that it wasn't working properly due to a lazy, incompatible o2 sensor. I was relieved that I found Herbert who was able to help me and install the correct piece for a fair price (443 roughly, as opposed to the almost 700 dollars the dealer would've tried to charge me). I like his style, and he is definitely a righteous mechanic. Thank you bro!

Nick was an excellent salesperson; he's an old-school guy with a deep history and knowledge of audio, and he helped me get off the fence with the different brands and boxes I was researching. I was originally looking at some subs for under the seat, but ended up getting a Kicker sub with Nick's advice, since he said under-the-seat subs aren't that great and, for the same price, a boxed sub with an amp will sound better. The installation took about an hour and a half, and you can either wait in-store or at a few nearby plazas to eat and wait. The install itself was clean and professional. Overall, loving the bass. I might be back soon if I upgrade the stock speakers in my ride to improve mid- and high-frequency clarity. On another note, I didn't know they also do tinting. Nick offered a good deal, but it's too bad I just recently had my tint done elsewhere. If I had known, I would have saved some money on my tint by doing it at Audio Motorsports.

Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

Mario and Anthony at PowerLab Motorsports are the only guys I would trust to work on my GMC Typhoons & Syclone (Yep, I have more then one) as someone who's been around these trucks since mid 90s I can honestly say I've seen a fair share of mechanics/technicians that simply shouldn't touch them. PowerLab did outstanding job on my Aspen Blue Typhoon (LW3 Truck) everyone that I have reffered to PLM had absolutely best experience. Powerlab motorsports gave me knowledge on products and did an amazing job changing my oil out installing a new filter and keeping me informed with many other questions I had. The shop has a great feel and very friendly environment, like hanging with old friends. Came to Powerlab after i saw all the mustangs in their yard. Loved speaking with the owners. Showed me all kinds of parts and taught me stuff just in the first time meeting them. Came back and did my clutch, new shifter, motor mounts and transmission mount. Clutch is like butter, upgraded stronger, all new bearing bushings bolts and nuts. Came down here about a couple weeks ago for my 68 mustang. Basically restored the rear suspension (leaf springs, bushings etc).Went through everything with me as clear as they can be, always gave me an update and all got done in only about 2 weeks. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had…read morewith an auto repair shop. I brought my 2018 Volkswagen GTI in for a cooling system issue. Instead of properly identifying the root cause, I was sold thousands of dollars in repairs, including a new water pump, thermostat housing, thermostat, coolant temperature sensor, coolant, and other related components. After keeping my car for about a week, I was told everything had been repaired and that the vehicle had been thoroughly tested. However, on my drive home, the exact same problem was still there. I had to turn around, bring the car back immediately, and they kept it for another week. In the end, I later learned that the issue was simply a faulty sensor. Looking back, it makes me seriously question whether all of the expensive repairs were ever necessary in the first place. To make matters worse, they damaged several plastic engine components during the repair. Instead of taking responsibility, they denied causing the damage. They also admitted that a piece of my engine cover was missing and promised to mail me a replacement. That never happened. I followed up with Brie multiple times by text over several weeks and was either ignored or given empty promises. Communication was another major problem. Before authorizing the work, they were very responsive. Once they had my car and my business, it became extremely difficult to get updates or clear answers. I constantly had to chase them for information. They also repeatedly tried to sell me additional repairs that had nothing to do with the reason I brought the car in. Even after I explained multiple times that I only wanted the cooling system issue diagnosed and repaired, I kept receiving recommendations for more unnecessary work. Overall, I spent thousands of dollars, lost my car for roughly two weeks, had to return because the problem wasn't even fixed after the first repair, dealt with damaged parts, broken promises, poor communication, and ultimately left with very little confidence in the quality of their diagnostics or customer service. I cannot recommend this shop. If you're dealing with an expensive repair, I strongly encourage you to get a second opinion before authorizing any major work.

He gives me an estimate to carry out the work and when I pick it up,it balloons to double what was originally promised. On top of that,they didnt even install some of the items that were quoted and still charged me for labor. Fast forward to a year after when I was working on the car, working on a few adjacent items that I was charged for revealed that they didnt even touch the items they were claiming were needed to be remedied. This joke of a shop, did not even put my radiator back properly! Held it with zip ties and upon driving the fan hit the radiator and broke the radiator causing me to be stranded on the road!
