Recently put airbags on my 51 Chevy. I needed a new driveline made since the new configuration made my current driveline dangerously short. Took my car to another shop which I wont name, but they gave me the run around and tried to get me to buy parts I didn't need. On a whim I decided to call Driveshaft Pros to get a second opinion. I spoke with Sergio on the phone and he told me to come in so he could inspect my car. When I arrived, he stopped what he was doing, had me pull my car onto the lift and he measured everything. i have a supercharged 2007 jeep wrangler 4 door with upgraded axles (prorock 44 front and 60 rear) turning 40" mud tires. for years i had a very excessive drive line vibrations so i tried to isolate by replacing the cardan yoke on the front shaft, all bushings on my long control arms, adjusted pinion angles... none solved the problem. highway drives letting off the gas pedal would cause a very noticeable resonating vibration. these shafts were purchased long ago from online. i brought in both front and rear to have them rebalanced; driveshaft pro discovered the front u joint at pinion side was bad, regardless of greasing it was binding up; replaced and balanced. the rear shaft tubing turned out to be the main culprit of all my problems. the original tubing had been welded crooked and causing it to wobble (and probably some hard hits from boulders), which no amount of balancing would be possible. driveshaft pro cut out and retubed; balancing perfectly as needed. drive line vibration is finally gone, making long highway drives enjoyable again. i highly recommend. read more

Watch out for Driveshaft Pro. They charge the highest prices and take too long to make repairs. I've had multiple driveshaft failures from them. One specifically was a new $700 unit for my customer. It was too short and took out multiple tail shaft housings before the customer trashed it and bought a used one. Right now it's been almost two weeks and they haven't finished shortening a driveshaft two inches. My customer is pissed that he won't have his truck back for Christmas. I'm sure they treat there regular customers well but I feel like I've been screwed several times over and at the end of my rope. Hopefully this review will help others not to feel this way. read more

The guys over at Driveshaft Pro are exactly as the name suggests, professional driveshaft specialists. I had a strange setup in an old musclecar (a GTO), with a car that had been converted from an automatic to a manual sometime in the 70's. Sergio immediately recognized the issue and was able to fabricate a brand new, balanced driveshaft at a very reasonable price. When I installed, due to some differences in the yoke length, i didn't have quite as much clearance as I thought. After conferring with Sergio, he offered to make sure the length was perfect and after a quick adjustment and re-balance, the driveshaft was bespoke for the car. Honestly, this is why you go to a professional specialty place rather than just a general auto mechanic. You get expertise and service with quick turnaround and a perfect product.
